Okay i have just heard some of the car sounds from previous page....

The cockpit sounds really good, but they need to work on those gear shifting. It is still way too fast and unnatural.

The Subaru VGT sounds AMAZING. Hopefully GT7 will be able to retain these sounds and improve them even more.

Optimism. Is. Back. In. GTPlanet.
👍 PD and :gtplanet:

For some maybe. For others, the lack of a competent career mode, the inability to have tire/fuel wear and damage in career mode, the horrible looking tracks, the rabbit chasing format, and the constant online instability cannot be overcome by the addition of a fantasy car, a polished version of an existing track, and slightly tweaked vacuum cleaner noises. Introducing a safety car into a game that has no cautions shows how much they've lost their way.

The safety car is marketing, the fantasy car is fun, the tracks aren't ugly, the rabbit chasing format is annoying though, i never have online instability () and any improvement to the sound is better than nothing. Just my own opinion though, i totally see where you are coming from.

My only criticism is that I can't seem to find a way to see a members list in the clubs. Unless it simply doesn't exist, which it probably should.

The masses are happy. Career and vacuum cleaners are only subjectives opinions, and thus negativity is something is impossible to erase. But the people enjoy themselves with incredible content and the whole package is becoming better and better. That's why optimism is rising, in the good way.

Have you ever looked at the trees when driving down a track? They look like fly-swatters or screen doors (especially Brands and Bathurst). The scenery around most tracks flickers and shimmies, at some tracks I even see objects in the distance "pop up" which is so 1999.

If you've never had online instability then consider yourself incredibly lucky. Almost every session I've been in for the last several months required 15-20 minutes of people leaving/reentering the room because they couldn't see everyone on track. Constant problems with people not being able to join a room, or getting randomly booted from a room multiple times, or being incompatible with the host (even though they race with that host multiple times a week). Sometimes you can't even see your friends' rooms even though they're PM'ing you telling you it's open. If someone joins your friends list after the room is created they aren't able to enter unless you create a new room............I could go on and on and on. And don't get me started on the weekly triple-beep shutdowns.

But your only option to enjoy this "incredible content" is to chase rabbits, not very exciting or entertaining. At least you have unlimited fuel, tires, and it's impossible to damage your car.

Despite those faults you've mentioned (and with reason), we should still be somewhat happy. Did you miss the addition of a feature that was long mentioned (even before the game was released), that improves the online mode and has been missing for months (Community)? And even if the sounds are still not perfect, they have been improved. Or did you prefer the old, worse sound effects?

Yes, GT6 still has all those faults you mentioned, that much is true. But perhaps this update is a sign of change, perhaps PD finally realised that they need to get GT6 back on track before it's too late. If they can get the rest of the promised but missing features out the door before the new guard of racing games comes (Project CARS), then maybe we can think that the future of the GT series is less bleak than what we think now.

I would only assume they look terrible is because no one really pays attention to that sort of thing. So it's not really important.

1999? It's still a problem with a majority of games these days! I'm not saying that makes it okay but just saying. Developers really should stop allowing that to happen though.

Doesn't make much sense to release Community features when (I'd guess) a vast majority of people who bought this game have shelved it or sold it. Would have been great in the first few months of the game, now it's rather pointless.

It's not pointless when people are clearly still playing the game.

OKKKAAAAYYYY I get it. Negatives are there since start for literally thousand times. But can we please talk about the update for a sec. Theres no course maker but theres community.

Well, the old adage "Better late than never" applies here, no? If anything else fails, at least PD can use this chance to check for any faults in the features and then fix them for future games.

The day started well...... :(

What happened?

I have nearly 100 people on my friends list, 6-8 months ago when I'd get online there would be dozens and dozens of them online and playing GT6. Now, maybe three or four at most. Case in point, my PC arrives Friday so that's one less person that will be online with GT6.

Kind of like a band showing up 24 hours late to the concert, after everyone has gone home and had to go to work. But three or four die-hard fans hung around to watch a glorified sound-check. Better late than never I guess.

That's nice. Have you been down the backstraight at Bathurst? Looks like you're going to be attacked by giant mutant fly-swatters.

I'm done trolling. Enjoy your safety car.
