Hey, it's not available yet but it is today, so let's already start it, but only post after you updated.

I made the thread because people forget about this and I never forgot but I didn't have the password for my another so I'm starting it.

By the way, remember what Sorg discovered about Nissan and Bentley standard cars, maybe its there,

I hate to sound so.. Negative, but I doubt we're gonna see anything other than just the new Corvette released in the update to be real honest.

I'd be surprised if we get anything more than the C7 Corvette and some bug fixing. If I were to be a little optimistic I'd say we were getting Willow Springs too, or at least the files for it to be unlocked by a DLC purchase later.

I'm pretty sure that Sorg said that PD might have had plans to give those cars premium treatment based on how the cars are coded. We don't even know if they exist yet. On top of that, PD would probably announce those cars because they know people want them. I would love to see extra stuff in the update, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for this.

Strictly speaking, what's been discovered is that certain cars were indexed in a way that would allow PD to have a premium and a standard version of the car in the game. So at some point in the planning process, they thought about having premium versions of those cars to double for the standards (for PSP compability).

That file index is probably a few years older than the game, probably around five years old by now. A lot of things has happened since then. Some of those cars made it to the premium list, others didn't (yet). Some may be under development, some may be scrapped for good. A plan isn't a promise and sometimes reality interferes with your intentions. Are those cars ever going to be released as premium models for GT5? To quote the Beach Boys: God only knows.

I have no reason to believe that anything else than the new Corvette Stingray is coming with the update. Happy surprise if there's something else too.

Do everyone a favour and change the title of this post to "2.10 Update Unannounced Features" so it can be searched for easier and it's not a generic title.

Just done mine, 55mb...

Server maintenance means can't see what has changed..

There's nothing special about the "2.10" designation in this case, though. Two is the major revision that follows one (the original release), and ten is the minor revision that follows nine (so it's the tenth minor revision after the 2.0 major revision).

Ya its weird maintenance, a small update, and more maintenance? That means this one we just got isn't necessarily the full update, rather a security patch or something.

All the hacking talks would have PD beef up their security for sure to make sure DLC isn't shared!

X.0 is a major change. X.X is a lesser change. X.XX is a minor change. This new update is a lesser change, but not minor.

The patch notes aren't available. Let's wait until they are to make any speculatory remarks about unannounced changes.

Well I've just done the patch and basically all of my car's PP has changed and their power and weight is still the same...

PD has never been consistent about that. The second patch following Spec II was just as major as Spec II was.

Its name? 2.02.

Yea, mine too...
So much work into setting my favs to certain PP categories and now it's all changed, minus one or another :ouch:

I wonder why this happend :dunce:

So my 400, 500 and 650PP cars are going to need some work. :grumpy:

All I need now is another patch after the maintenance is over and PD's trolling will be complete! :sly:

Wow... We're talking major differences in PP.
NASCARS are usually a consistent 632pp, they are now 571.

The Whiteboy was right!! Either this means a major overhaul of the PP system, hopefully for the better...or a major screw up....any bets?

Another confirm for PP changes but only in certain cars. My 535PP NSX remains at 535PP but the 86/BRZ/FR-S triplets that had at 500PP are now 470PP.
