And others who have mentioned simliar.

I don't play a lot any more, but a couple of days ago I was driving a stock Tuscan in the Brit Lightweights at Trial Mountain Reverse, no aids, using DS3. Yesterday I did the update and went straight to the same race.

Something felt different with grip - lock-up under braking seemed more progressive (no ABS). I wasn't sure if it was my imagination, or the fact that I could remove all the ballast (about 50Kg) due to the PP change. I thought the tyre squeals sounded different too, a bit more natural as traction was lost and gained over the bumps.

I'd be interested to see if anyone finds anything more concrete, or if it was just a figment of my imagination.:dopey:

Yeah, the placebo effect can be pretty strong with me. But I had run the Lambo Toscana seasonal last week in a stock Gallardo on SH's no ABS just messing around. Ran it about 3 times and didn't win-came in 3-4 I think. Ran it last night and won easily 3 times in a row. Don't know whether I just started to know the track better and was carrying more speed through the fast first section. I run without HUD offline so wasn't matching any speed markers. There was plenty of grip in the SH's and I made a couple heroic brake saves that I was sure would spin me. Maybe there's a bit more progession, hope it's not all in my head though!

AWD Lambos stock on SH's were always really difficult for me to get a read on their progression. Before 2.09 I could barely get a Murcielago around the Nordshleife. Couldn't tell what the front tires were doing over elevation changes. Ran one around it last night after a cruise in the C7 with no drama. Guess I'll have to break out the YellowBird on CM's for a Nordschleife run.

Funny you should mention the Yellowbird. This is completely anecdotal, but I decided last night of all nights, that in honour of my new G27 I would bust out the BTR, detune it to 450 PP and try and drive it on CM's. I had tried before, many times, and always gave up because I didn't enjoy it. I got the hang of it last night. Tried several tracks like ARR, TM, DFR, Eiger, all the tough tracks, and actually got around with little drama running consistent laps.

So I took out the Yellowbird near the end, threw ballast on the front, put an LSD and Tranny on it and flung it about and found I could control it too and run consistent laps. Took the ballast off, which for me used to mean undriveable, and I could still run consistent laps. The transition seems to be smoother and there seems to be a bigger window between grip and fail.

My guess is it's just determination and the vastly improved accuracy of the G27over my old DFGT. I didn't drive them enough before the update to compare. Be interesting if anyone else sees a difference that is really familiar with the cars.

There were some very noticeable changes after the previous update (2.02?), so may be changes you didn't notice then?

Ps3 is dead atm so wont be able to see for myself for a week and a half or so.

nah i play everyday just not online as its not racer friendly used to be so twitchy before

Nurburgring has more understeer in what were before 'comfort' zones, for flat out, so lines are changed once again, mildly,

damping has added effect (I think this was supposed to be in 2.09, they probably forgot to update and threw it in 2.10)

when looking at rearview, the racing lights from drivers out back look freaking awesome, never noticed that nice blue glow before.

untouched pp cars seem 1% faster all around.

nerfed pp cars are making Japanese automakers happy and throwing money to Kaz for his next game

500pp races seem more dynamic now. to those who are wondering how to win again as before, it's simple. make 550pp races, and drive clean with your expensive cars.

Just drove the Focus that you sometimes get in 400PP Shuffle races on Nurburgring GP/F, & the feeling of understeer through my G25 seemed a little more pronounced. I could feel when the wheels were lossing grip & when they'd lost it

Also, threshold braking seemed to have more of an effect on stopping distances; 100% brake made the distances longer, whereas about 80% made them shorter (I was using ABS 1). Not noticed it being that pronounced before.

Things like this are attributed to lag.

Youd need a large test group playing online and offline to validate claims like this

just pure speculation right now.

I didn't know you got lag when you were in a room all on your own which you are hosting, as I was! :P All I can say is that I've driven the same car many times before, & felt a slight difference after the 2.10 update. Could it be placebo effect, maybe/maybe not.

Yesterday gave a fully stock YellowBird some laps on the 'Ring. CM's w/no ABS and my weight(75kg) in ballast forward@35. After the tires got warm, the progression was predictable but still dicey. Traction was the main issue. Put on CS's and was able to get on the gas much quicker, knocked over 20 seconds off my CM time easily. Just a few seconds off the real life record pace (8:05) and the grip felt pretty darned good. Only ran 3 laps and I'm sure I can better that with practice. Saved a couple missed braking marks and made a couple late turn ins, sliding the back out and catching it fairly easily. Wish you could see tire smoke in the rear-view!

This was offline practice mode real grip. Tire wear on. Cockpit view w/ minimal HUD. Hard to say if something was done or just getting used to that beast. But beat an old lap time post 2.09 by 4 seconds. The issue that I'm trying to pay attention to is tire progression and weight transfer. That "icy" track reaction was missing except when the tires were ice cold. Have they softened all suspensions? Seems like if there was some kind of tire model update, it would have been announced.

I often drove jaguar E type '61 on comfort medium, it was very slippery before, 2.09 made it a bit better, but now even with 300HP+ and comfort medium, stock suspension, weight and LSD, the car drove, dare I say better.
I can sense better tire grip/loss progression, feels a bit rubbery when heated enough, it's as if the edge of grip limit window is wider, less "ice" feeling when the rear is slipping ... anyone care to test the car and see if the same thing happen ?

I didn't try it yet, but what everybody talks about seems like update 2.08 > 2.09 or PD changed tyre model, damping model and force feedback again with 2.09 > 2.10 update?

There was some unannounced physics change. Sliding and the edge of sliding feel different now. The loss of grip happens much smoother now. For the first hours it felt almost like some SRF on, though of course it wasn't. The performance gain is not big, but I'm ca. 0.5-1 sec quicker round Nürburgring in 2.10 then I was in 2.09. It also seems way easier to drive consistently right at the limit.

It might be one doesn't feel that change much if one is using a very stiff suspension setup. Stiffer suspension was a good way to deal the harsher loss of grip in 2.09. It seemed to reduce that "icy feeling" and made the grip loss more controllable. Now I can go softer again without that happening.

It could be some change to the tyre model. That "icy" feeling could have been from the tyre sliding over it's shoulder, which happened less with less body movement of the car. Now that isn't an issue anymore.
