The PP now seems to take the advantage of weight more than power. Stock Mazda AZ-1 for example has now around 320 PP, when MX-5 NA has around 300. Even though the second has nearly twice the power, but weighs over 200 kilos more.

This new PP system is now broken IMO.
Why?

Here's why:
Two of 350 PP cars:

Beetle 1100 Standard (Type-11)- 82 HP / 711 Kg
Corolla Levin GT-Apex (AE86) - 185 HP / 940 Kg

The really wierd thing is that the VW has a 8,64 Power/Weight ratio, while the Toyota has a 5,07...

How's that less "unfairly set"? :grumpy:

I'm sure the system isn't perfect but it remains to be see if, as a whole, it's a move in the right direction. Seems to be on surface so far..testing will verify that in the long run.

Dunno if its been mentioned before, or if im just slow, but the copyright at the startup of the game says 2013 now

Check the replay sound of the Weider ... a lot better now, especially on rapid downshifts ...:dopey:

Oh I know. Sounds pretty much like the real thing.

Also guys there has been yet another physics change.

I haven't noticed changes in the physics, even played on the G25 today and it's no difference. Maybe just me..

I feel like a physics change would be need a larger MB count on the update wouldn't it? Where did the physics change rumor start :P

I don't think so, the physics engine is just numbers and values (lots of them) but they're small, code wise.

What do you mean exactly?

Yeah, what?

Ok well i am talking about drifting with comfort hard tires. They feel like there is more grip all around. I was just online maybe 3 hours before the update and it feels different NOT BY MUCH JUST MINOR. Something else just can put my finger on it. Seems like tires.

Just a different understeer and oversteer effects. Like i said minor but it is there.

In my opinion it is actually the grip-snap effect that has been made more progressive (non compound-dependent, I was just running HSV on Seasonal TT on RH and it seemed like snap is much more provressive and natural).

So I would agree there is sensation of some change, but I will have to more tests tomorrow (1 am in Croatia ATM) to conclude is it really a change or placebo.

But I would agree how something seems like altered and improved.

Very small. 1000 digits = ~1.65kb.
Maybe words/commands might take a bit more, who knows.

Was just in a NASCAR room, and a few of the other guys said their cars felt different, without any mention of a new physics change by me or anyone else.
Personally my NASCAR detup drove the same, but wasn't as smooth as it previously was. My first assumption and testing will be the shocks.

I love the new sound of the HSV-010.
I wanted to do a flyby of it in 2P Mode in Arcade to see what it sounds like from another person's point of view and I used a Tesla Roadster as P2. When I saved the replay and watched it the HSV sounded really low when it drove by. I barely heard the car approaching. So I did the same thing except with a 2006 Raybrig NSX JGTC and it sounded the same. The replay sounding needs to be fixed.

Hmmm... Just took a spin in my Takata and I do feel a difference. The rumors of a Physics change may be true after all. Personally I feel a bit more grip at the front end, or just a looser feel overall, but on entry I'm getting a bit more pitch than usual, and in ess curves, the car is a bit twitchy going side to side quickly.

i'm im a room now at the ring and most of my cars were tuned for 550pp now there are a bunch, like the M3 '07, i can't even get it back to 550. what happened? most are down about 14pp. any body else sort by pp and notice this?

You're a little bit slow in realising this mate.

If you'd read or even skimmed over this thread you would have realised that the update changed the PP system radically. A lot of cars have less PP than before the update. That's normal.

Is it just my ears or is the "new" HSV sound not just a copied and stretched/pitched up sound from the Suzuki GSXR-4? Sounds identical to me all the way up to around 7000rpm.
