Does anyone know the color and mileage of that Ferrari 308 that's in limited stock at the moment?

EDIT: Same with the Honda S2000 that's currently in stock. Plus the Lamborghini Diablo GT - though I'm aware it only comes in a single color, so I'm really just asking about its mileage.

The main point I would say is if players want to keep playing after the server shuts down. If cars that were painted had to revert to their original color, it would be a pain to have ten cars the same color.

The other concern are players wanting to have the original decals and emblems. Even though there are replica decals, it’s not the same immersion for some players.

Repainting cars removes their factory decals and stickers. While these can be added back using the livery editor, they will not be in the same high quality as the originals, nor can you guarantee you have positioned them correctly.

Also some cars come with different interior colours dependent on the exterior colour.

on top of what others have mentioned, there's also the fact that if you are "collecting" all the colors of a given car (rather than just trying to have one in a specific color you happen to like) then painting them yourself doesn't change anything - you still need to buy however many copies of the car in order to paint them so you might as well just buy them in the colors as they appear. Plus, it's just something fun to do.

and also, painting them yourself "breaks" the in game notification system that informs you of which colors you have purchased in the past. So again, if I'm collecting all the colors of a given car and one of that model appears in the UCD, I can look at the car and see if I already have that color.

If I may add something to the conversation, there's also the fact that widebody and engine swapping are mods we can't reverse. One more reason to keep an extra copy of any given car.

I'm not sure this is accurate - it doesn't show the "stock" colour, but it'll still log if you've bought that colour in the past. Eg. I have an AE86 that was the two-tone red/black originally. I've bought it, painted it purple, and it still shows in the UCD as "owned" that colour when it shows up. When looking through the car valuation tool it doesn't show a colour name, even if I revert it back to stock everything, but through the UCD you can still tell if you've bought that model in that colour before (regardless of what you did to it after you bought it). I believe the only way it'll show as you don't have that colour is if you sell your car in that specific colour...

So if I buy the car in some color and then paint it some other color, and then weeks later I see that car in the UCD and I'm wondering "hmmm, do I need that?" all I see is what I have in the original color. I have to remember "oh yeah I painted that one." I guess what I'm getting at is that it's a nice simple process to go into the UCD (or the LCD too for that matter) and click on a car that's for sale there and see that you either do or do not have the car in whatever color is for sale there. Once you start painting them yourself, it becomes a process of remembering what cars you've painted what colors - and depending on how many different models you might be "collecting" the whole thing can get pretty muddled.

Again, if all we're talking about is just wanting some specific car in some specific color it's not really an issue. But once you start collecting all the variants of a number of different models, painting starts to make less sense.

lol it's not really a big enough issue for this long discussion. BUt to clarify - it's not a concern about buying two cars that have the same original color really. I know it tells you you already have the orignal color. What it doesn't tell you is what color that origninal car is currently sitting in. So, I buy a red Testerossa, and later decide maybe I'd like to paint it green. Then I park it and mostly forget about it and weeks later I see a nice green Testerossa in the UCD and I click on it and see that I don't have a green one (because the one I have was originally red) so I buy it. Now I have 2 green Testerossa's. I go into my garage and see 2 green ones and I'm like "Oh right I painted that one!" Now, I have to go to the paint shop and return the other one to it's original color. Painting them introduces a little ball of confusion is all I'm saying. But again, it's just a small issue...I just like the "cleanliness" of my all original paint garage. It's probably more about my own OCD than anything else lol.

Unless I am missing some, it seems like the only UCD American cars that you can't buy in BC is the '71 Mustang, '78 Trans AM, and the two '69 C3 Corvettes. I don't count the two Cosworth's since they're not really American despite being listed as such.

It is a shame when you think about it. There are a lot of good American cars they could add, many which from prior GT games... Taurus SHO, SVT Cobra R Mustang, El Camino, Nova, etc. etc. The Mustangs and Camaros themselves are missing any '90s and '80s years too, as well as the latter half of the '70s. If only Kaz/PD would pay attention to those decades in American automotive history.

We've got a good amount of French cars in the UCD. Good choices from the 1980s. Representing the 1980s from the USA, it's just the one '89 ZR1.

I think it´s different from car to car, becuase, in our case, with the E36 I don´t recall seeing in the past 2 months but the Tuscan (and many others) it´s been there at least 2 times on the last 30 days.
