This is ridiculous, I have been playing all day, and keep checking back into the used dealership to find a "truck" for a race. NOTHING!! I get the whole random thing, and how cool it is to find that rare car, but why do it to a vehicle that I need to progress through the game?

This makes no sense, come on PD get with it! I can just imagine my conversation with the game developer:

Me: Where is the truck located for my race I need?
GD: It's in the used car lot, but probably not at this time.

Me: why? I need it for a race to continue my career.
GD: Oh, it will show up some time.

Me: When?
GD: HMM, don't know.

Me: How do I get past this race?
GD: You don't.

Me: Hanging up the phone.

Yeah I've already had two friends message me, "do you have a truck you can gift to me?!?!"

On a side note, if anyone sees a Jaguar XJ220 pop up, can you let me know how much it is? 'Twould be much appreciated.

I'm keeping my out for a DeLorean. That's my number one priority right now. Not sure how rare it is though, but I've heard of it popping up often.

You might want to save up. It's just popped up in my used car lot, with 2835km on the clock, for 517558cr!

Its a STUPID system, nuff said. For some cars to be rare is fair enough, but for me to spend days checking the used car lot every few hours for a run of the mill car is crazy (for instance my real life car, the volvo S60..luckily one turned up quite quickly, I have no idea how long I'll have to wait to find a ford escort WRC car though, my second most anticipated "standard car")

They should have put a "used" section in each manufacturers dealership where you can buy used "not rare" cars, and then a used car dealer dedicated to the rare cars (you could give it a name like "supercars R us" or something more tasteful but that would be the place you'd go for the cars PD want you to put some effort into attaining.

The XJ220 is 586,748 Credits.

I was lucky enough to find a pre-1980 Japanese car (a Skyline) for the beginner event but it was way down on power for that event so it gets murdered down longs straights though i managed to get a win at Suzuka by being better through the twisty bits.

I could find a car to do the European classic car event though.

I suppose it's realistic in someways that older cars would be hard to find but i wouldn't mind a nicer spread.

How easy is to find a proper '80s japanese car in good condition? And how about a Jag XJ200? And how about a Ford RS200? You would be seaching for a RS200 for MONTHS before finding someone that wants to sell it.

I find its fun, and will give the game a long lifecycle.

I just found a '79 Honda Civic 1500 3Door CX to use. I ended up spending roughly another $35K tuning it though.
