If you check Jordan's tweets (@GTPlanetNews) he said that the magazine is "great, and will be on the home page soon". :)
(thanks to me, @turini2)

Yes finally. Maybe it took so long because Jordan had to read it and make sure there was nothing bad in it.

Good work. Good read.

Shame about the poor grammar and shocking spelling throughout though. Also, I think the photos used are very poor. There's a whole forum of stunning pics at your fingertips right here.

photos are from the article's authors, not photomode threads
on the grammar, thats the author's fault, not the magazines

Though I agree there are spelling and grammar issues, I posses neither the power or knowledge to correct them all by myself. Considering that many of the writers don't use English as their main language this is both expected and understandable.
To avoid this in the future I've been thinking about using a few volunteers who know their way around the English language to proofread the entire mag or selected articles before it goes public. How does that sound?

Also, as BigMackAttack pointed out, the photos in the magazine is almost entirely sent in by the people writing the articles. And I honestly don't think are poor. There have been some talk about including the photomode competitions in the future though, thus satisfying those who crave outstanding beuty in every shot ;)

After the news post, theres definately more where that came from:tup:

Lets hope so!

W.O.W. This is AMAZING! Hats off Schwadegan! That was a great read, and an amazing format. You and all your contributors really nailed it! I can't wait to see it improve and get even better! Congratulations!

Great idea you have here. Will follow this and eventually write for this magazine. You may want to fix the disclaimer on it, a couple of typos there. I would definitely love to write for this magazine though. Looks like a nice outlet to express my affection for Gran Turismo.

Ive been following this webby for a while to help me with my GT needs lol and I noticed this today and I have to say Schwadegan I am quite impressed with your Magazine dude!

I galavant (Freelance) as an Artworker/Graphic Designer for some big brands have worked for one of the biggest design companies in the UK and I felt compelled to say...nice work!

There are a few issues, the spelling and grammer obviously a biggy and I would say that is partly down to you (we always get blamed for crap copy lol!) but yeah the design is pretty neat. Certain things bug me about the way it looks and its a little too consistant in page layout, photos aren't great etc.

But im really impressed. Ive always thought it would be a great idea to have like a Gran Turismo 5 Guide would tips and hints on tuning cars etc but I never have the time with all the work I get (barely get any now with Ministry of Sound Posters and Artwork for other DJs lol) but I would love to do one!

Maybe thats something you/maybe we lol...could do!

This forum has been like a god send and I think some of the issues people are having with A-Spec and B-Spec could be solved with just browsing this forum but its lost with all the flaming etc!

Tell me what you think?

Again...Awesome job dude!!
Its impressive you produced this on your own accord!

Thanks! Feel free to send me a PM/Mail with some of your work (always fun to take a look at), and maybe a bit about yourself and what you'd want to do (or have time with) etc. and then we'll go from there :)

The magazine now has over 1000 unique readers, with an average of 20 views per person. I can only imagine what will happen to those numbers once Jordan puts it on the news page!

Count me in if you need stuff proof read, first one I caught was the "inofficial magazine" part on page two, should be unofficial.

Either way, with the mistakes here and there it is a great magazine, awesome effort, and I hope it continues and becomes a regular. If you need my help proof reading articles please send one my way with a deadline. My work load changes constantly sometimes I got lots of time, sometimes not much. But I'll help you improve the quality of this great product you have here, a diamond in the rough.

Looks really great, and quite professional.. you should throw in some fake ads and no one will be able to tell it apart from a real magazine xD

Maybe its just me but some humor would be nice too... like a crash of the week picture, or a door flying of a rally car.

Happy to help proof read, loved the mag! Well done! :P

...something like these? Or something that might actually help people advance in their game, and less about making up pretend stories?

I did them for my Photomode Gallery, but either way, more straight game-oriented or the way I did it, this is a cool idea to me :).

What track is that were you're driving the Lotus?

Review of Magazine... very short albeit:
The magazine is simply great, but:
It lacks refinement on the writing side, it feels awkward without ads in between stories. The stories have good ideas, but lack in refinement... they sound too amateur, not really professional. But its an amazing try for a first timer magazine. Great job Schwadegan and everybody who contributed. :D

It's beyond me why it's still not on the front page...
The post just went up.

Schwadegan, I've placed a copy of the PDF file on GTPlanet's content delivery servers. At 15 MB, it may have burned through your Dropbox's public bandwidth allowance quickly, so this will ensure your account does not get suspended now that it's featured on the blog (yeah, it looks like it burned through the first GB in 10 minutes). I suggest you update the download link in your OP to http://bit.ly/gtlife_14-02-2011 to take advantage of this as well. Live download statistics for the link can be viewed here.

Very nice work, guys! ๐Ÿ‘

Great job guys! it's amazing to see how much joy, passion and creativity GT5 has brought to so many people. With your magazine as a prime example of that.

Great work to everyone who has contributed to this! Just saw the post Jordan put on the main site, and I must say I'm really impressed by the true professionalism that I see!

To get more publicity, if that's something that you "may" be considering, here are a few things that just popped into my head:

1. Start posting on other GT Related forums! Not only does this further expose the "GT Lifestyle", but also opens up new avenues for expanding the magazine!

2. See about interviewing some of the top drivers on all the top respected GT related forums! Talk to them about their love of GT and how they've been able to take their driving to such heights that other 'every day gamers' often aspire to and include those in the magazine!

3. Get in touch with the top tuners and get their insights into their love of GT and why they do what they do and include that as well in the magazine!

I'm sure I could think of a few more things to make the magazine even more interesting to all of us who love the game, but for now, these are the thoughts that I instantly thought about when I finished going through the magazine!
