I would like to contribute, but I need to know when the deadline is for the second issue seeing as my studies are taking over my life, I need to plan ahead!

Well, I can't really estimate since I'm in the same situation and work with this project whenever I have time to spare. But I hope to get the second magazine out within the next two weeks. But you know, if you don't make it into the next publication I'll simply use it in the next :)

Member of the D-MAX team wants to get the drift team involved and I think it would be a great idea, will have to talk it over with him to finalise it but does it sound OK to have an article about GT5 drifting and the D-MAX team in there ? :)

It may not happen but just wanted to... 1. Bump the thread and 2.Check its alright :)

you could do this magazine as a quarterly issue
it would be nice to get some drifting in there and any upcoming events as aswell
 
Submit your cover pics in the other thread and any pics used in the article should be attached to the email you send (and the word document containing your article.)

And to those of you who've decided not to finish the work you promised to help me with; I don't care that you don't finished on time or at all but I'd appreciate if you'd have the courtesy to at least tell me you can't make it or answer my emails when I ask how much of said work you've actually done so far.
This only applies to a few people who offered (via email) to help with layout and design of the magazine, which I've sent material expecting to get back finished sometime by now - instead a handful of them won't reply, so I assume they "quit". No hard feelings, but now I'll do the remaining articles myself so I know it gets done. :)

With PSN being down, the forum and my drift team, have temporarily died, and so it seems I won't be able to supply you with anything worthy for the mag (drift article with pics) until a week or 2 after PSN is up, so maybe postpone that until the next release ?

We do have a full picture of all 14 participants (I think) in the U-D-T (Now D-MAX) Vs D-Spec battle, came to the last battle, re-run 5 times due to close scores, then a tiny mistake gave it to UDT... Basically half a point.

If any of my team remembers the battle well I could hand you some info and pics on that maybe... Or a future battle (Probably a better idea), I will make sure our next battle has a nice full (both teams) photo :) .

But again, its hard to get hold of the guys on here properly.

Sorry I haven't been on in a while. Life has caught up with me, and GTPlanet/Life have been pretty hard to get to. It seems like the magazine is slowing down, I'll try to contribute when I can. Also, this Photoshop class is going great, for a project we had to make a magazine cover, and of course I made a Car one ;)

Thanks! Yes, I thought the Danube worked great. I wanted it to seem modern, not stuck in the past (motortrendcoughcough) so i picked Danube with the title "Torque", the edgiest sounding car word I could think of, and topped off with the great Old Gold/Black cooirdiation and the head-turning Galiper.

Sorry to ramble :indiff: But yes, I think that Danube title just rounds the whole thing off.

Kudos Schwadie - have been working for, but not lead, some publications, so can imagine how much you have on your hands. Really appreciated, you rock! :cheers: :gtflag:

In my defence I've been working with an iPhone app for a museum in my town, and it'll be finished this Friday (still follow my threads here at gtplanet each day though!). After that I've got some vacation so I can finally finish the second magazine for you guys.
 
Hey sorry I was not able to submit my articles like I said I would I just got cort up with school work and thinks.

EDIT: Idea: What if we have a list of most of the major drift battles that happen between the issues and who won?
 
The second magazine is in its final stages now, it would be great to have some people who speak English as their native language or who is very good when it comes to spelling/grammar to read through the magazine before publication.

I'm looking forward to it as well! Come to think of it, I never got around to reading the first issue, I only skimmed through.. Maybe I'll read it now.

The magazine is 99% done, and is reviewed as we speak by a third part to eliminate bad grammar and spelling errors which was one of the biggest complaints about the first magazine. And as I said before, anyone who speak English as their native language or who is very good when it comes to spelling/grammar are welocome to read through the magazine before publication.
