This is a GT magazine, not InsideSimRacing magazine. Though "The Planet" might sound good, it sounds like a newsletter. GTLife(my personal fave) or GTMagazine show that this magazine is for lovers of Gran Turismo. If our target audience is Gran Turismo fans with Gran Turismo articles, why change the whole idea of the magazine just so a non-gt fan would pick it up?

EDIT- I dont think stories can ever get scarce. Even though cars may get repeated, it happens IRL too. Do you get motor trend? It is the worlds most subscribed automotive magazine, and just flipping through my short pile of 20, the Ford Mustang/Shelby GT500 graces 7 covers. And i never get tired of reading the cover stories.

I think BigMackAttack makes a valid point. This is a GT magazine, with the aim of reaching people who play the game. This requires quite the amount of work, imagining to cover sim games in general, that would be a treamendous task.

Besides, with one issue every second month I don't think we'll ever run out of things to write about considering what BigMackAttack says; Even though cars may get repeated, it happens IRL too. With some future GT5 updates, hopefully, we'll get more cars and content to review. :)

Also, don't forget that there are 4 games prior to GT5. Some people might be interested in a nostalgia article of some kind...

I've been sick for a couple of days so I'm still working on my article:P
Although, I think there should be more articles around the GT community. Reports about online races, online meetings etc. Or even organize some online races and meetings.
And maybe you should find someone willing to take a look at bringing it to the App Store like many newspapers and magazines do these days.

wow looks like a great design. MY only point is that tuning a car will vary depending on the track, so this kind of feature may have to be changed into track "types" or "styles". Cool Tho!

Im almost done with my NASCAR editorial. Its very difficult to write as I dont want to sound whiney. Im also getting ready to write a piece for the next edition titled "Bang for your Buck", where i test a bunch of supercars and see which one has the best performance and which one has the best cost/performance ratio. Heres the cars I can think of so far- Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce ‘09, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG ‘10, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren '09, Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 ‘09, Ford GT '06, Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR ‘08, Ferrari 430 Scuderia ‘07, Ferrari 458 Italia ‘09, Ferrari Enzo Ferrari ‘02, Honda NSX Type R ‘02, Lexus LFA ‘10, McLaren F1 ‘94, McLaren MP4-12C ‘10, Nissan GT-R SpecV ‘09, Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione ‘08, Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro ‘09.

Any more I should add/remove? As you can see its all premiums. If need be, i could do standards. I really am on the edge on the BMW M3 Coupe ‘07, as its not a supercar, but some say it it. IMHO i think it is an overhyped sports car that lives on its past 'ring records. Also, why would i want a sports car that looks like a sedan/saloon? Ok, i better stop before I get in an arguement

But seriously, any i need to add/remove?

WOW. You're going to write an article about all those cars?! At the moment i'm doing a comparison with the 458, GT-R '09 and the ZR1 (so maybe you should leave them out) and it takes loads of time to really get to now each car to see which one is best. I'm going for at least 230 km each. And the article is already quite long. Anyway, looks like a great list. Looking forward to see what you're going to write about them... Maybe you should add the Zonda...

I already wrote a 9 car review on corvettes, and I loved it. I was thinking about putting the zonda, but its seems almost like a race car on sale to the public, not a super car. But, i guess i should include the zonda...

Also, pertaining to your request to take out cars-

Pros-Less Repetitiveness and you are Happier
Cons- People will complain that the supercars werent in the test, as this is a value test.

I could scratch the permormance only comparison, and do the cash one only

You sure got a lot going, which is great 👍
I'd recommend you to do at the most three to four cars at once, even that might get a little much at once as I see it. Maybe you could break it apart and spread the article as a series over numerous magazines?
Anyway, I'm looking forward to your NASCAR editorial mate.

To all of you who have sent me articles; I've begun editing them together as one magazine and once we've finished a few more articles I'll send some early drafts to you who have contributed up to that point so you can give me some feedback about changes (only if you want to). How does that sound?

As some readers have suggested in my forum post, I'll turn my race report into an article, so as soon as I'm finished with the writing and pictures, I'll send it all to you for editing (of course it won't be exactly the same as the report, I'm adding some "meat" to it at the moment)

sounds good man. ps email on the way to you in a minute 👍

Got it, read it, answered it. ;)

Your post looks like a great read so I bet your article will have no problem matching it mate 👍

I will leave that decision to you. After all, it's your article. But I don't think you should do so many cars. GT5 isn't endless so we need something to write about in the future.
But as a GT fan, I would prefer less cars, but a more in-dept review.
Anyway, succes with your article:P

Some statistics so far;
11 articles
35 complete pages (not counting the front page, index etc.)
9 authors

I'll probably finish my "The other lane" text today which adds two more pages.
Besides this there are a couple of articles currently in the making.

Also; If you're article is listed as finished but you haven't got a preview via email, please let me know!

That looks really good.

I have a suggestion though. Have you tried it without the thin red border around the section where it lists the tune settings? I know it's only a small thing but I think it would have make a nicer looking page without it.

I hope you understand what I mean, and I am in no way trying to say it looks bad, it's a hell of a lot better than what I could do! Just a small suggestion.

I'm in the planning stages on another article for the next issue, however I've got so many ideas flowing that it's hard to choose one. I don't know if it will be a car comparison, a single car review, or an article about some UCD gems. The gears are turning, but at the same time, they're not getting anywhere, if you catch my drift. :boggled:

Yeah...without the red border it looks odd :(

No worries, it was just something I was thinking of, but it was hard to know what it would look like without seeing it actually in front of me.

I hope you didn't take that the wrong way, I wasn't criticizing it, like i said, it's a lot better than what I could manage (the photo of the X2010 is awesome by the way!). Do you mind me asking what program you used to create the page? Was it just Photoshop?

Oh, and Lenny, if your reading this, I'm just about to email you my article.

Really excited about seeing the magazine as a finished product.

Remember that upon sending your article to me I'll need to have the images and text separate from everything else. Then I'll use your layout to assemble the article in the magazine.

Article finished. E-mail sent 👍
Ok, I'll take a look. 👍

Sweet, me too!

Got a couple ideas for my article for the next issue...
Home-Brewed: How the NSX Race Modified stacks up against Super GT NSX's of various years
Killer B's: Driving and comparing the Lancia Delta HF Integrale, Peugeot 205 T16 and the Audi quattro
Untitled: Comparing the GT300 cars.
