Whoo.. this sounds like a great idea!:) Can't wait to see how this turns out ^^ I'm making a GT car review TV show (Top Gear-like) myself XD Maybe we could collaborate? (Eg. I review the cars that are feature in the magazine)

XD That would be great :) Well, my show (called Test Gear, by the way) hasn't really started, but you can take a look at this small preview (Our mysterious tame racing driver doing a lap around our Test Gear test tack (done with the track editor) :) I haven't done the commentary yet (Prehaps someone could help me with that? I'm not really good at that)

My concept for the show is to provide GT5 players a better understanding of the cars they want to purchase before buying it (as you can't test drive a car in GT5), therefore, kind of a virtual Top Gear XD...Each episode will consist of a single car review and a car comparison to see which car is more fitting for an event (Eg: Audi R10 vs. Mazda Furai for the "Like the wind" event), to sort of help players advance in the game.
I was also thinking about having a "Unreasonably Priced Car" competition here in the forums, which consists of driving a Enzo Ferrari around our test track :)

Still a bit tentative about making the show though...

Weve been discussing those (photomode ads) for weeks! :lol:
SlipZtrZm was supposed to be in charge of those, but he hasnt posted on this thread in weeks...
But, hes a mod, so hes never longer than an arm's reach away!

To fill up space, and add realism we should incorperate "Ads"
No, not paid ads, or ads for "Teams" but GtPlanet events
We could have an ad that advertises the Photomode competitions and its recent winners, to be designed my SlipZtrEm or Shwaney.
Other advertised events could be WRC events and future things.
Is this a good idea?

Lastly, wouldnt it be great if one day GTMagazine (or GTLife) would be the official magazine of GTPlanet?:sly:

This is a great idea! i would love to participate! i don't know however if i can make the first article, but i would love to write an article comparing SuperGt 500 cars. If you can give me the deadline maybe i can make the first issue :)

According to the Editor, our desired release date is Valentines Day (February 14th). That gives you probably 1 week to turn it in so he can design it and insert it in the ToC and other things. You also have to take your own pictures, by the way. I can't wait to read your article!
 
Sorry, been busy with schoolwork lately....hope to get my GT300 article done and sent to you by the first of next week. I've decided to call it simply "300" (like the movie).

HAHA thank you! i would love to make Feb 14 but the way things are going (have midterms, looking for a job) i dont have alot of time but i did start already, its slow and steady though (putting each car through rigorous tests)
 
I've got enough material for the first magazine now. Still looking for a cover though. Hoping to get it all done until the 14th as expected.

The show will be 10 mins long (On average) and will consist of crazy challenges, events and ofcourse car reviews based on a Top Gear style format.

I was wondering if we could advertise the show in the magazine, not as an artical but as a mere logo or something? Like a buisness card?

The first issue is almost done and will therefore not include any more material at this point. It could be very possible in the next edition though.

The magazine will be free of charge for everyone. There might be some kind of possibility to make a donation if there's a demand, but honestly I'd rather see someone using that money to print a few copies and share.
