I called you mad....but you 1UP'D ME! OH, THE IRONY!

hahahaha.

the best part is minardi and jordan are doing better than BAR.

Anyone who bet money is gonna cry!

More Boooo -ing

Podium ceremony anyone!

Gosh that car lift thing looks really bad now considering the circumstances!

Famine
Why?

They're doing their job. They're collecting telemetry on the car. They're being attacked by complete smacktards in the process.

Am I alone in seeing why throwing bottles in front of F1 cars is bad?

No Famine, you're not alone. I haven't seen the images (they cut off the race here in France), but I find it scandalous too.
The 6 drivers are doing their job, it's as simple as that. And they're 0% responsible of this situation. (even 1% or 100% would not justify such a reaction anyway).

I guess Michelin will have some difficulties to sell their tires in the USA now......

I'm really sad for the real F1 fans (those who respect the drivers and teams) who went to Indy to see this race. I guess I would have been very disapointed if it had happened to me.

Omni's?

"My backpack's got jets...
I'm Boba, the Fett...
I bounty hunt for Jabba Hutt
to finanace my 'vette."
(wiggy-wiggy-wig)

Yeah?

Yes, I'm a regular on the mc chris forums.

I stopped watching with like 23 laps left. Well I didn't really stop watching, its just there was things that needed to be done around the house. No point in wasting time watching a farce of a race, when there is other things that need to be done.

I feel so sorry for Monteiro. It's the first points and podium finish for the guy, and he really can't celebrate what is one of the greatest moments of his life because of the circumstances. Poor guy...

Robin 2223
Here in the UK the ITV comentators are more serious......they are really annoyed as they were once F1 drivers.....
James Allen is an arse, not an ex F1 driver.

Robin 2223
Apparently Ferrari have been telling Barichello to hold back to let MS win......that it tipical of Ferrari......always putting him down! :grumpy:
They were racing up until the 2nd pit stop, then told to hold position. That's a perfectly normal situation in most teams.

westwood
yes i do believe so. and i like how the speedway decided not to participate in the ceremony.

I wouldn't doubt that is what the fans are saying. Though it may be directed towards the FIA, instead of F1. Good one on the Speedway! đź‘Ť

Did u see how happy Monteiro was on the podum! poor guy...I guess he wants to be happy but he knows its not real. Probably wont be up there again for a long time to come!

This would not have happed at the place like monaco.

westwood
shumi and rubens walk off and monteiro looks like a moron so pround of his "podium"

Thats pretty much what I was thinking.

Here is the press conference afterwards:

Well how did the race go?

It was a real tough one. We had to fight the Jordans and Minardis all day. They are extremely fast and the rest of the field should be scared.

It was funny to see Rubens argue about not going to the podium. Rightly so.

He should be doing that. Ferrari did not prove anything at all today, other than they can beat Jordan and Minardi.

He does have good reasons to be happy.

1) He still beat 3 other drivers in similarily crappy cars
2) It's the best finish for his team in years
3) It's his first points finish, and his first podium
4) His team is no longer tied for dead last, and he isn't tied for dead last in the drivers standings either

...I guess Michelin will have some difficulties to sell their tires in the USA now......

Only to the people who went to the race. Nobody else cares, believe me.

The real question is, how will the organizers get anybody to come to the USGP next year? That's going to be a very tough sell...

They shouldnt.......its in real bad taste.....and all they will get is more booo -ing.....its just puts the icing on the cake for peoples anger.

There is not gonna be another indy F1 GP for sure

That was funny when Monteiro was celebrating while schumy and Barri walked off.
Monteiro:"woo!!!"
Schumy walking away:"retard"
Barrichello walking away:"idiot"
