I don't think sub 2:16 will be possible for
me...
I honestly don't see how I would get below 2:18 without seriously risking a hard-contact wall-smash.
We're going to have to do some practice races where I peek at the replay of what you guys are doing in that deceptively wide left hand turn where if I try to keep the speed up, the car sometimes winds up at least clipping the wall on the right side.
What's funny is that it seems if I'm following someone into that turn, and they hit the right side wall, I generally tend to follow them into it!!
Strangely, I watched 2 others do the same thing - follow me into that wall.
So I'm going to be very wary of following someone closely in that area in the race!
My real problem area though is keeping momentum up enough to the peak of the hill & into that right-hander, consistently. When I get it wrong, a whole second or more is lost on my lap time.
I think the track is pretty easy... in the sense it's easy on the car... and not at all difficult to remember. I'm thinking of advertising this race as a good introduction to custom track racing.
It's a fun enough challenge, though in a lighter non-frustrating way.
Though, I'd still really like to race on RMC Toscana. Very long, and I'd never remember all of it well for sure... But I think in the right car, with damage on light...
(yeah, I'm not going to let it go. heehee)
