I think it's white. But let's not argue what color the car is, even if it would be bright pink I wouldn't mind if I can paint it afterwards. :P
But yeah, in terms of sound - I hope it sounds at least a 50% VR6-ish. Maybe PD uses this AES sound recording technology or whatever it was called, becausw they gave us some decent sounds using this method.

Yeah, I agree with that, as long as the car either has a decent colour choice or offers the chance of painting it, I'll be a-ok with a white body. But of course, a bright red wouldn't hurt to have for the car...

And hopefully you are right about the sound bit, the latest VGT engine noises have all been somewhat unique compared to the rest of the engine noises ingame. Using the AES system on, say, the GTI Roadster's engine sound would be an interesting idea, if you ask me...

A bright green, like the Lancia Stratos green (Verde Mela) would be pretty baws too. I sincerly hope that the grille won't have that red stripe, but my hopes of painting it in that particular green and making it look good on the car will be crushed anyway.

And yup, true dat. I really wonder how the Vision GTI would sound like using the AES system, too.

The grille will probably have a red stripe, if the previous VGT GTI project is any indication, sadly. It's just a detail VW likes to use in their GTI concepts, because it looks sporty and what not. I don't really mind, because if the car will be paintable, I'll just paint it red to match my GTI Roadster. Matching Volkswagen colours, brah!

We may never the answer to that, but the Supersport may gives a curiously good engine noise, if PD use the AES system well enough.

Also, it seems that the car has a well-defined design already, so it may not take long for it to be fully revealed. Unless Bertone is also waiting in the wings and brings up their spaceship out of nowhere...

Ye boi!

Yeah yeah, true. Hoping they use this system on future releasing cars too, and not only VGT's.

You're right. This one though seems a bit more Golf-ish to me, it seems to me that the car is not as low as the Vision GTI is, but I like this already: it's wiiiiide. :P

Well! Definitely looking out for strange sights on the night sky then!

Here's a pic of the original GTI Roadster for comparison

Yeah, it's probably as wide as the Roadster, except the Supersport will probably be taller as well thanks to the roof and the new rear wing. The theory of a Roaster with a roof still fits the Supersport's possible description...

And another thing popped up in my mind; Worthersee. I'm sure that VW may be preparing a real-size scale model of the Supersport, the same treatment that the Roadster got. So, the car may be revealed early, but it might only join the game after it's presented in Worthersee.

Hmm hmm. In my eyes the new VGT seems to be a bit less wider than the original VGT, but who knows. Maybe my eyes are tricking me. Anyway, I'm rejoining the discussion later today, night folks!

If there's one striking difference between them, is how much wider the GTI roadster looks. Which is kind of wacky given that the Volkswagen GTI Roadster Vision GT is the second smallest Vision GT car.

Probably the aftermath of the car's proportions being squashed in order to turn the concept into a Roadster, really. The Supersport is probably a more Golf-esque (if that makes any sense) car, so it has proportions that don't look so wide by comparison.

And it will probably lose the interior, but that much is obvious. The moment you gain a roof, you lose any chances of having a detailed interior. (For VGT cars, that is) Unless your first name is Chaparral, which does give you a special license of sorts...

He has a wing?

Both the Roadster and the Supersport have wings, the Supersport video teaser shows a stop light that is above the car's rear end. And the height it has is surely a sign of a rear spoiler.

And now I'll be the one going to bed. Let's see how long will it take for the Supersport to be fully revealed...

It also has vents at the rear, a single double exhaust exit with a unique design, a different diffuser, a larger wing, and of course no roof.

I have a 'complex' with wings in no-racing cars... Look the Aston Martin One-77, he is perfect...stopped...

Yep, it's the racing version of the Design Vision GTI concept, there's no doubt about it. Well, I guess we will see that car as a Vision GT concept after all, albeit with a racing guise.

Also, @Panoz, you got sorta tree'd there with the new teaser pictures. But nevertheless, good find, both of you.

@notStig with the quick ninja edit.

You have to be faster next time!

notStig is a notNinja, it seems.

Also, even though this car is sorta obvious in the design department (Design Vision GTI with major race adjustments), I still want to see it as a whole. Also, it may be very nice to drive like its Roadster brother, so there's that...

It's a disguise. I attack when least expected. :D

About the car, I think looks cool. I like the spoiler. The "supersport" name leads me to believe it's going to be faster than the roadster, but it may still be powered by the VR6 engine and 4WD.

Needs more Sanic (gramatical error intended).

Man, first Capoeira and now Ninjas? Brasil sure has some edgy people...

Yes, I agree with you. The Supersport name, the racing banner on the windshield... It will be VW's own VGT Race model. They are mimicking Mercedes and Alpine, except they are using a different concept for both cars, which is unique at least.

Yeah, now we are training capoeira ninjas. :D

I'd like the new car to be on the same performance level as some other VGT cars, like Toyota and Lexus for example. The GTI Roadster is a good match for both the Mercedes VGT Racing Series and the BMW VGT. It would be nice if the new car brought some competition to other VGT cars.

Oh my, that sounds dangerous.

Also, since this is no spaceship (cough cough Bertone cough cough), I can safely say that it should be able to keep up with most racing VGT cars. Imagine the Roadster, but with far more PP. I just hope PD can retain the Roadster's good handling instead of beefing up the aerodynamics way too much and send the Supersport into understeer city...
