VW is being way more fun about this than the other two companies. Non of that mumbo jumbo about heritage or artistic design or anything. Just "Guys! look! Sony wants us to make a crazy car for GT6! SWEEEEEEET!"
But, Mercedes and BMW are mature car companies that are made for formal people. Unlike Volkswagen's GTi who's made for car enthusiasts and teens.

There's a rumor that this concept will bring the annual exhibition "VW worthersee 2014"

"Given what we know of Volkswagen’s event schedule, the next place that would make sense for such a car to be revealed is Worthersee. Time will tell whether that is the case, but we’re hoping it is and we’ll be reporting from Worthersee just in case that happens."

Tadaaaa :DDD

well, it looks like the one from the first sketch, but i don't think that this one is coming to GT6

You're right - I highly doubt that they would be teasing the unveiling of a newly designed car if said car had been known to the world for months and months, but for some bizarre reason, people keep seeming to want to make the connection between the VGT GTI and the Design Vision GTI. They are not related, despite their similar names.

True, but I'd really love to see that car. More V-Dub in der houze. :D

That's a real life car that has nothing to do with the VGTi
a couple of posts in someone pointed out the VGT GTi looked like that(but used the term concept) so I wanted to show the tread that concept is now a real (or going to be) model.
If that's true, we might get an interior! :D
who knows? perhaps they will build a real one off for that GTi festival(or what ever it is called) that is held every year in the uk. (or Germany or where ever)

@alonsof1fan91 I'm 23, and I like VW.
I'm 28 and I love my Mark 3 Jetta(vento)
I tend to enjoy VW as its harder to build them,and every build seems to have its own personality. unlike Hondas as most of them look the same when finished.

So they don't build then on an assembly line with welds, screws and bolts, and pre-made parts like all other mass production cars?

Actually, that's a real car. You can tell because the windscreen and the wipers are reflecting on the hood and the side mirror is reflecting on the window. This doesn't happen in GT6.

Oh well I got excited too soon :(

That's quite an interesting statement. Most of the GTI owners I know are male in their early 30s. I don't know about calling them enthusiasts solely because of the elitist attitude they have towards anyone who isn't into VWs.
