AMG. and I discussed it. It's fine.

Please don't bring the Subaru. :scared:

Dean Fantin, driver of the #13 Amico Racing BMW has yet to win a race. Last time we were at Mosport he battled with the #10 and #36 cars, coming in second twice. This weekend, with a strong car, good conditions and a clear mind, can Fantin beat the pesky #36 Subaru to take his first win?

"This is Canadian Touring Car" is back for it's second season, following the the 2011 Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship presented by Continental Tire. Each weekend we explore the world of Canadian Touring Car racing, the cars, teams, drivers, struggles and successes.

PJ Groenke in his VW GTI and Richard Boake in his Subaru STI capped a perfect weekend with wins in Touring Class and Super Class respectively in Round Six of the Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship presented by Continental Tire (CTCC) on Sunday June 26, 2011 at Mosport International Raceway.

Touring Class
Leading Touring Class from the start, and all through the race, Toronto driver P.J. Groenke from the Pfaff Automotive Partners had his second win of weekend and the season. Definitely boosted by Saturday's adrenaline, Groenke didn't let anyone get in his way to the podium. For Round Six, he was followed by M&S Racing's Gary Kwok for the second position and his brother Tom Kwok for third, both of Markham, Ontario.

"I just couldn't stop", exclaimed Groenke. "I got lucky that a Super Class car was behind me and it made a barrier for the other competitors."

Quebec driver Michel Sallenbach in his Mini and Oshawa driver Marlin Langeveldt in his Mazda Protégé were following in fourth and fifth positions.

Super Class
Almost repeating the same scenario as Saturday, King City driver Richad Boake in his Subaru STi and Amherstburg driver Dean Fantin had a strong battle for the lead. This time, Boake didn't let Fantin steal the first place away from him.

"They were all over me. I couldn't even think of slowing down, otherwise they would have got to me," stated Boake at podium ceremony.

Having the fastest lap with 1:30.697, Fantin in his BMW 330i got the second podium position for the second time this weekend. Third position was given to Ashton driver Arek Wojciechowski in a BMW 328i. Wojciechowski had a great racing weekend has he got the fourth position the day before. In Super Class, the fourth and fifth positions were given to Quebec driver Etienne Borgeat in a Pontiac Solstice and Brampton driver Bob Attrell in his Hyundai Genesis Coupe.

The Championship's 7th and 8th Rounds will take place on July 8 to 10 at Honda Indy Toronto.

Edit: Sorry about the "imagery" and "sounds" in that video; I didn't know that Dean was that angry/Newfy.

So we'll have a ITCC type class and a Bankfin type class?

Yes. That means that the most you could have in a non-FF car would be four.

Also, if I need to, I'll restrict the 4WD/FR cars much heavier than the FF cars.

Alright then, if you insist... If you can make it where the FF's have the definite advantage then I will be alright.

Yeah, that's sorta the idea. I'm testing it right now. I'm hoping for a difference of half a second, before tire wear, so that the FR/AWD cars can come on strong later, but don't qualify as well. And, I'm considering running without forced pit stops.

I would make the RWD and AWD at least 70 kgs heavier than the heaviest FF car.

^ It's actually 240 kg. heavier, with 20 less hp. right now. That's the BMW 330i.

I'm testing it at 256 hp and 1440 kg. to match the Atenza at 276 hp @ 1200 kg.

Yes, that's just based on the lap times, before factoring in the tire wear. :indiff:

I made a cover for the Honda S2000 Pre-Tuned Racing League!

I would love to race, but it doesn't say what day it's held on, had to quit WMA Karting because it was on a weekday.

EDIT: Found out and would like to sign up for the next ITCC

Hmmmm, that could work. Yeah, the given time for most/all ITCC series seems to be Saturdays mid-afternoon in North America.
