Wallbanger's 1st annual million credit FF Summer Shootout!(6/19/11 final 7/17/11)

The Tuscani was the fastest car, by several mph, I tested as far as top speed on GVS straight. However I don't know if its PDs modeling of the cars tires or what but driving it through the corners felt like wearing rollerskates on an ice hockey rink! Had the same problem with the Mitsubishi Mirage Cyborg which was the car I really wanted to surprise people with as it maxed out at 497PP. I think on stickies tires or a different track both could hold their own quite well. Just a quick note. Until I dialed the C4 tune in a bit the best overall time I had for any of my "Dirty Dozen" was with the Volvo S60 T-5, which was the heaviest, as I had them set up, and had the lowest top speed.
I'm still waiting to see a Focus ST or RS.
I remember the RS was truly badass in GT4, in stock form it ran the Nurb with the Integra Type R.

If the Tuscani version you're using is the V6 one, then it won't be short on grunt. Two guys I worked in my last place had them. One the V6 and the other a straight 4 pot. The latter of the two was upset he didn't lash out a little extra on the V6. That being said, I still found the V6 a little underwhelming. There was a glut of other cars out about the same time that made it look pedestrian. I maintain that had the drivetrain been the other way round, it would have been a better car for it. Same with the last gen Celica. Leave the engine where it is and drive em from the rear..!!

Wouldn't mind giving your Hyundai a go anyway. PM me or post it elsewhere if you like. I'll try and shoehorn your C4, and the others I've not done, into the small window of opportunity I have this afternoon...

👍👍 I want to see the ST170 in here somewhere. Not a huge fan of the current ST, bit too Essex for my liking. I thought the 170 was a bit of a Sleeper Agent in its day, my kinda car...

The 170 was a bit underwhelming for me, plus I think it's an RS without some goodies.
And in GT games, if something handles better stock, it will also handle better tuned, even if it's an identical chassis.

In the game the 170 has the same slippery feel to it that the Tuscani and Cyborg have. The new ST just didn't click for me. The RS was one of my Dirty Dozen, unfortunately fully modified it comes in at 559PP or so, meaning that by the time you get it down to 500 its lost a lot of power and gained the full 200 Kg. Even so it was a close call with it and the C4 as I'd already done a lot of tuning on the RS and had more wheel time with it as well.

I also tried the new ST as well, and it has wayy too much torque @ 500pp for a FWD car.

Is he linking all these tunes to the dirt page or amI gonna hafta go through the thread later tonight and find all these again?

I think the links in post 002 are fixed. If browsing from a iphone, tap the post, then tap the link.

I believe Onboy has been linking them to his post on the first page. I know he linked mine.

(Off topic warning :))
You all need to check out the Jeep website for the latest "Supercar".

That's right Jeep is producing a Grand Cherokee SRT8 for 2012! 465HP and 465ft-lb torque. 0-60 in 4.8 seconds:scared::crazy:👍👍

Now if PD will just include them as DLC:sly:

Okay feel free to resume your normally scheduled insanity.:D

My whole family rolls dodges and chryslers (my Dad is an engineer at the plant in Toledo). I think at one time or another we've all had an srt-something and I've never been disapointed.

Nice, I grew up in Wayne County. The fam works for Chevy though. Around here its usually one of the 3 and the whole fam.

What's up with the Shootout? Its gotten quiet as we get near the Tuner Deadline.

Maybe they've gotten down to the business of finishing their tunes like I did yesterday!:D

Oh and its now roughly 40 hours to the deadline! So get those tunes in, the drivers are ready to really start some serious FF thrashing!:gtpflag:

To be honest, I would have preferred to be a tester rather than a tuner...I'm at 20,000,000 now, people like my reviews and I don't consider my self a great tuner. But anyway, here it is, my tune at last...

Mitsubishi Mirage Cyborg R '97 (Aka the Mitsubishi Miracle)
Don't forget the Nayez Blue Pearl paint!!

hello everyone. i have been without a ps3 for a few weeks now as my slim stopped reading discs :( so you can only imagine how upset i was to discover that this competition was going on without me, but thanks to some very good friends who understand my addiction (fellow barbadian gt racers) i have been able to construct some semblance of a tune. this is my first official tune that i am posting although i have worked a little on some cars for my friends. the tune is not completely finished but as i have little time with my friend's ps3 i will have to make the best of it. i am still a noob to tuning but i have a basic understanding. the car i have chosen is a honda integra type r (dc5) '04. lol i know again!!! all well let us get to it. oh one other thing, i still havent grasped the transmission tuning aspect so i usually adjust the top speed for the track and maybe fine tune individual gears a bit but my transmission is far from perfect. my fastest lap was 2.03.904 mins. unfortunately i do not know how to upload the picture of the car to the site but i only tried once. forgive me once again but i really want to get back to racing lol. anyways were we go...

full body and chassis upgrades
ecu tuning
full intake system upgrade
full exhaust upgrade
high rpm turbo kit
racing tranny
full drivetrain upgrade

Update: I won't be posting anymore times until the deadline has passed, I've started to see some tell-tale characteristics, and don't want to influence tuners that haven't submitted with information the submitted tunes don't have, so in the interest of fairness, I'll wait till Sunday.

Hello ,i know all the testers will have to drive a lot to check all the tunes. So i'll participate sendind this car to you . Just accept my request i've sent to you now, to recieve this Honda integra DC5 "Penelope edition".

Well, I still don't know which car I should tune........

Holy crap! Really? Be creative. No more integers.. Lol. As long as they didn't completely screw them up they are all very similar

Ah but see not all can be blessed with the minds of automotive artiste's that see beyond a cars initial outward appearance and performance specifications to the true soul of the automobile. Fewer still are those of true artistic genius that can reach in and help give that soul birth!
Yes tis true, I must humbly admit to being one such artiste and for such as myself to even consider wasting my genius on something so vulgar and mundane as an Integra:rolleyes: why I'd sooner slit my wrists and throw myself into the Seine:eek:

I love it. Didn't see the ending coming, and had a good chuckel.
