Wallbanger's 1st annual million credit FF Summer Shootout!(6/19/11 final 7/17/11)

Driver2183 (Acan) - Honda Civic Type R '08
2:01.879
Call it a draw in speed for these two 08 Civic's so far, but this one drives better, excellent tune, except the gears. :( second is perfect, but third is to long, with a quicker third, followed by 4th, 5th, and 6th, this may have seen low 2:01's, possibly 2:00's. Otherwise fantastic, my favorite drive yet.👍

Thanks for the review, it did shaved a few miliseconds from Assasin's tune. and looks we both have the same gear setup problems. Lol.

Started to collect my cars to start pounding the track. I have had to send out a couple of FR's, but I've also bought a few cars.

We're getting towards the pointy end of the competition. I'm starting to get a little tense. I might go for a drive to relieve my tension.

Fine…I'll throw a Renault in, you seriously want it? :D

Viva La France!

Isn't it apparent yet that the French cars are the finest performance machines in the world. Not to mention the elegance, the style, such elán ah to own such as these is to own true works of art!:P:gtpflag:

Sorry, I wasn't online yesterday and couldn't accept requests. Car is online... but I won't be around from thursday till sunday/monday...

Personally, I think it should be outlawed. It’s just cheating, because we know it to be fast, but beating the fastest Integra by a second is ridiculous.
........Onboy? :(

When is the drivers deadlines?

16th of July is the date we originally set. If all drivers complete testing before then we can see about moving it up. Also from what I've seen running more than one session with each of the cars seems to produce improved lap times. Sessions don't need to be long 5-10 laps probably. Guessing that multiple shorter sessions prevents driver burnout and reduces pushing overly hard to beat previous times. Might suggest not loading a ghost as that can also lead to pushing too hard trying to "race" the ghost instead of concentrating on laying down a good lap. Just my thoughts/opinions though so take them or leave them.:sly::crazy:

Personally I think ghost car should always be loaded because it forces you to try and push your self to beat it and get an even better lap. Also you can tell which corners you can improve on if the ghost past you.

I raced your Kermit against Roj's C30 to get that 'improved' lap time, and now you're saying that's bad?!? -.- And I've reminded our newest tester to get going, and he'll need some time to learn about testing the cars. It took me 4 or so reviews to get the hang of what to look out for, and I still suck now, so give the new kid a few more days, eh?
If you don't know who the 'new kid' is, it's atomicnmd.

Haha mine is more fun to drive ;) Is it gonna be a Swiss duel?

Very nice Onboy123! But now, I wonder what I could have done with more time? Maybe I would have just screwed it or it would be better... I have this car twice! I searched the UCD for almost hours! I just wanted to test whether it is faster with weight reduction and engine tuning or the way I entered the competition and I think I entered the right one... I just feels better and I don't like to work with ballast and engine limiter, as it takes away the cars nature...

Giving people all the time they need...until the 16th:D
And I didn't say ghosts were good or bad just said I found for >myself< that I made more mistakes in >my< driving chasing a ghost or trying to stay ahead of one. They can be very useful to see lines taken and judge speeds with so I can see how many find them more helpful. Not trying to tell anyone how to drive or run their tests.:)👍👍

So what happens on the 16th if you haven't submitted? Do the testers who failed to meet the deadline incur a punishment? Should we put them in a Toyota Prius and take turns pushing it with an X1 to see who can push the Prius to the highest top speed? And should we provide the car with the brake balance set at 0/0? :D If you don't meet the deadline, being shoved into a wall on SSR7 by a X1 going 300mph will be your punishment :mischievous:

That seem fair. Or we can force them to watch Bette Middler movies.... Beaches, over over and over :cringing:

Well a driver who doesn't have his times in for all the cars by the 16th is not eligible for the bounty I offered to start with. Second they are not eligible for fastest driver award. Third they get no say in drivers choice award. Last they are sentenced to beating the Fiat expert seasonal 100 times in a row, any failure to win a race means the 100 count starts over.

So I been looking at some of the times so far and some seem really good and others seem like the car could do much better. I figured I would do my own test to see which times are more accurate / give my own mini review (I'm not a tester so doesn't matter what I think lol). I somehow don't already own a normal integra and this contest is full of them so it's perfect time to get one. I than looked around and am seeing Praiano63 has some of the best times and used his tune. Gave it 10 valid laps like everyone else and at first I hated it because of under steer but it still gave a good lap. 10 laps is enough to really get used to a car so I understood where it likes to brake and how much gas to apply etc and I managed a 2:02.488. I can land 2:04's all day in my srt-4, but damn this thing I'm landing low 2:03's no prob. Still a lot of under steer to me, but it's definitely quick. Good luck to all. It will be interesting to see who wins.
