Wallbanger's Cafe & Outlaw Motorsports Garage (New Tunes 6/15/12)

Okay I've decided! :D Since I got accepted into the cruiser club, I'll request a cruise car! So naturally it has to be a Toyota GT86. My requirements are simple ones. :sly:

- 300bhp
- 1200kg
- Sports medium tyres
- Must work comfortably online (I suppose that one is obvious)
- Good tyre wear
- Must have stance! (Lowered to the floor and at least 2.5 degrees of camber on both ends)

Aaaand I think that's it. :D Should I send someone a car or is it fine if you just build it and PM and/or post the settings?

And I know it's not bonkers, but how often do you guys get to do cruise tunes? :dopey:

Thank you…a GT86…just dandy. You know I hated that thing…ah whatever. But just so you know, unless its been fixed, the good tyre wear and high camber contradict each other. :P

He wants a cruiser, set it up to max out at like 80mph with no acceleration and the tires should last forever!

Or a top speed of 300mph so it stalls in 1st and therefore can't wear out the tyres! :D
Sounds like the 400PP Move I used on the new seasonal at Rome. Messed up the transmission bad. Ended up running practically the whole race in 1st with only a couple brief upshifts to second. Must say its rather amusing to drive what's basically a two speed car that hits 115mph in first, will do around 125mph in 2nd and will totally bog down and nearly stall our.

Yes it was originally for CSL's 600 PP Road Car Shootout @ Indy

It took the following 2 top honors in that event.
Fastest @ Road Course: ACSR421
Driver's Choice: ACSR421

And was second fastest overall, just missing by less than a half second.:D

Since then it has been updated to Spec 2 and fine tuned a bit.:gtpflag:

Well i will test it at SPA, and let ACS know. I am worried the infamous eau-rouge rewards a car good at high speed direction change.

So has anyone been brave enough to try my "Hellfish" out yet?

I have it on share if someone wants to give it a run and doesn't want to build it or can't build it.:D

It's built to run the Stars and Stripes seasonal races with. I recommend trying it on the Eifel race there first.:D

XDesperado67 that car just doesn't get me ahard on like a Mclaren MP4 12c or a Lambo would. ALso i been wondering this for ages why is it called a 6 pack? is that a reference to cans of beer that can fit in the interior? also why do you call it Hellfish? lol :sly:

When i get home i will give it a bash add me to PSN.

Well…each to their own, I guess.

As for the 6 pack…it means 6 pack carburetor, I think. Though I think it's also a description of the kind of person who'd drive it. :dopey:

It's called a Six Pack because it has 3 twin barrel carburetors. If you read the description PD provides with the car you would know that already.

The "Hellfish" name comes from the cars actual full name of Barracuda a type of very fast preditory fish and the difficulty I had tuning the transmission.👍👍

I'll try adding you when I get home from work, having a bit of nasty weather here that's messing up our deliveries.:(

Have like 3 or 4 of them already that I never use.

Problem with the special is that it isn't an original muscle car but a custom built hot rod, so it wasn't eligible for a lot of the events. Might have to see if it can run in the Stars and Stripes though and give it a shot.:D

You don't like it because you're a goof! :P

I might ask for a Clueless Tuned GT86 when I get top 5 in the Classic Car Shootout. Have all the tuner GT86's! :D

hey don't bother dude lol, unless u love tuning these old cars which u can never tune correctly as they are so crap:yuck: why don't u go and tune a high performance G37 not many done a tune for that car

Oh…? I wouldn't say that so quickly. The most recent ventures such as the Pink Panther A110 has been quite a success, as have most of his previous classical endeavors.

Well, time for me to do a car tune review, my first one, so here it goes:

Nismo 2000 GT-R

Ahh, old '70's Japanese cars... Those days when mirrors were placed on the hood, and GT-R's were taking their baby steps... My problem with them was power related. You see, power in sports cars was not as high as they were in the 80's, so while handling in these cars is good, there is just not enough power for them to be truly competitive. And that is THIS car comes in. As I had a used GT-R fully repaired in my garage , I went to work on it. And oh boy, how good it is! There is barely any oversteer, and the steering is sharp as it can be on these cars. The extra fizz in the engine sure helps too, specially in those short straights (remember, this has a 5-speed close gearbox:sly:). So, how did it do on the racing bit? As for the seasonal events, the greatest rival, the Dome (when it appeared) was nearly always owned, minus Clubman Stage 5, but I'll explain that. You see, on the previous races, I drove on Sports hard tires, which were good enough for the other races, but on Clubman, I was losing a bit of time on the corners against the Dome, so I switched to Comp softs, which, plain and simple, killed that lost time in corners!:scared: Like you needed even more grip... I would like to tell you a story. I gave Bob the car for the Japanese classics event and the greatest moment happened in Grand Valley east. In the start, my car stormed into 2nd place, behind you-know-who, and when it the cars approached the harpin before the tunnel, the Dome's tail remembered how to slide, with obvious results. Barely surviving, the "rabbit with rage" approached the corner after the tunnel. And it slid again. Into the wall (Onboy, wink, wink). And my car just kept going. Best win moment ever...

So there you have it. Do I need to say anything else about this here car? Go find one, now!

Couple questions for you...have you read my OP for this garage? My focus here was the less commonly seen cars or tuning cars to compete in unexpected events.:gtpflag:

Second how many tuned muscle cars have you actually driven in the game? Suggest you try my "Isabella" tune from our last F.I.T.T. event "Tons of Fun" or some of the classic muscle cars from the current event "Clueless Tunes - Classic Car Shootout", before claiming they are all crap.:embarrassed:

Seems there is a common misconception fostered by many that American muscle cars in general and the classic ones in particular are not good performers. They do require some tuning to be at their best and no they will never match the performance of the elite cars at a given PP, but you might be shocked by how competitive a well tuned one can be with the other cars out there. Same also applies to FF cars, just because many have a hard time tuning them properly.:odd:

As for tuning the Buick Special its an interesting car, I've just never had a reason to tune it before because it didn't have a lot of places where I could use it. The old Supercar Seasonal races was the only place I could use it before and I was to busy trying to tune really off the wall cars, such as my "Pocket Monster", to race those, to be bothered with tuning an easy and obvious winner like the Special.

Just a side note on my weirdness...the "Storm Goat 727" was the first car I used to race the Stars and Stripes seasonal races with, I didn't use a modern supercar like the Ford GT (Beautiful car), Cadillac Cein (personal favorite), Dodge Viper or Chevrolette Corvette.:odd::crazy:
