Bought the new vehicles. Took the Pug to Mt Panorama and two bloody stupid AI drivers decided it was appropriate to enter Toyota trucks in the race. In a later race, a Sophy AI entered a bloody van. Idiotic

I got my birthday present. VGT Peugeot

Friday night I came back home after work, booted up the PS4 and after downloading the new update I still had to wait ages for the PS4 to copy the data before I could start the game.

Once the waiting festival were done I could buy the new cars and test drive them.

The Peugeot initially felt good out of the box, but as I drove it around Alsace (weekly special event) it became an understeer machine. Them I drove the Golf '83 just to realize I like the german hot hatch more.

The Z4 is way too soft suspension wise for my taste. Just like the M3 E36. I believe either the sport or heigh adjustable suspension should be enough to improve its behaviour, and also some sport tyres of course. That's tunning duty for another session.

The Unimog.... I drove it for 2kms at the Red Bull Ring and then I ran out of patience. The thing is just too slow. Maybe I'll give it a try another day.

A clip from a league race of some all around great racing. An almost pass, some really good defence, and some so great driving from blue flagged driver in a tricky position. This was a fun race.

One of the weekly events takes place at the shorter Red Bull track. I did it in my "replica" of my actual 1965 Morris Cooper and it happened to be raining lightly. The sound of the raindrops hitting the glass was amazing.

And speaking of "replicas", I've been using ChatGPT to help with tire choice. For example, I replaced the stock Dunlop SP crossply tires of my real Morris Cooper with Michelin X radials, and after giving me quite the education on tires of the period, it recommended I choose Comfort Medium in the game to emulate the Michelins.

Today I was gifted a lovely an early Birthday Present from Sarah and Luca at the Cafe!
I thought the suprise was something else (wink, wink) but hey, beggers can be choosers! :sly:

After buying and testing the new cars on friday, on saturday I completed the weekly challenge set of races, went full weight reduction on a spare 911 (930) and tested it.

Also bought a couple of spare Civics '93 from the UCD and set a lap time at the latest online time trial.

You can load it with upgrades and give it an extra 100 horsepower or so. Tons of fun at that point.

EDIT, I did a lap to show what I mean. This one is loaded up with 200hp, and max weight loss. This is a fantastic training tool. It's essentially half the power and double the weight of a GR3 car. So, it's like driving in slow motion. The braking points are very similar. It can help you get better at getting that line correct, so when it's time to go fast, you will be better! I love it.

I'm definitely trying it!

Out of sheer ignorance, Group B Rally Cars, until today, had not grabbed my attention.

The fifth of the weekly five races (Trial Mtn, 10 laps) required me to choose such a car, and fortunately I have just one, the NSX, so was able to participate. I must have won it in a roulette or something.

The race started with me assuming I'd have to take one pit stop. After 3 laps or so, I figured that I might almost be able to avoid that stop if I chose gears and throttle openings more carefully. The gamble paid off.

Then I continue the process of downsizing my virtual garage. I test drove a lot of cars and got to decide what was a keeper and what was going to be sold.

Because of that my credit balance is almost at 100 millions.
