Aboslutely, it just seems a bit frantic at the moment, because I don't know the maps, I'm not quick with the contraols yet etc I'm more of a sitting duck . I'll keep playing it though.
Yes, it'll probably help, but that doesn't match my style. Usually I tend to shoot turrets from a huge distance to the other side of the map with the tank, so having the turret speed very high makes it impossible for me to make precise changes to my aim.Be sure to increase the turret speed of the tank to 100%, it will be a LOT easier to shoot down Warhawks, and you'll be more likely to win a cat-vs-mouse game against another tank as well. If you're up against two tanks in the open, you're most likely screwed!

Join the club. Fortunately my TV is huge so I can see it but it looks blurry. Thanks for that, exactly what I needed. I suffer from the same problem as Dead_Poetic, currently still with an SDTV, a nice Sony Wega but with Warhawk some of the text is difficult to make out.
Yeah, it is a lot more fun when half the players aren't trying to kill you, unless you get a D-bag on your team that likes to kill you and steal the flag to get the credit himself. That happened one time and we all teamed up to kill him every time he spawned until he quit the game to avoid ruining his stats.OK had a bit more of a play on Warhawk last night, I went looking for plain old Deathmatches and only found two Sony servers so I went for a team deathmatch (which I believe Pako was also in) and it was blinding fun, that along with a couple of capture the flag matches and for the first time I actually managed to get my kills above my deaths (by 13 to 12 I must admit).
No, a setting for setting up games is to keep teams balanced and not allow switching if it will create an imbalance. So, say you are in an eight person game and you are on the blue team, but they suck and you want to be on the red team with the awesome looking Nemesis jets. Then it will make it 5 against 3, making it even more uneven than the talent alone would have done. Why do I always get placed on the retarded team? The game won't let me change teams because it will cause an "imbalance". Am I that good of a player? This feels like elementary school all over again.
I do know exactly what you mean, especially if you're on the losing team. It's so frustrating when no one on your team communicates or advances in points. Everyone sits back in their missile turrets and gets killed by the opposing force or commits suicide by aiming their turrets at the ground. It's so bad that the enemy can walk into our main base and reduce it to level 1 without effort. I cannot take on a team of 16 players by myself.
I had a teammate one time who started yelling at me over my headset, "I've got this one! Move on!" Uh, okay. I don't think people realize that it is beneficial from multiple viewpoints to have many more than one guy around a flag. I only run away when artillery shows up. I'll let the point crazy guy take that hit. I am better off trying to come around on the tank.I do know exactly what you mean, especially if you're on the losing team.
One thing that really annoys me that people tend to do on Zone matches is when a couple of teamates come with me to the enemy zone, they don't stand next to the zone flag with me. OBVIOUSLY the quicker the zone is converted to your side the better, otherwise the enemy are able to spawn in your location for longer, usually ending up with you getting killed...
I've hit my fair share of walls, but the only time I brought one in for a landing hard enough to do damage was when I got a missile lock as I was on my way down. I slammed it down and hopped out as quick as I could. And people usually are horrible at landing Warhawks. They tend to commit suidice by hitting the floor too hard/ hitting a wall...

Just about every game with an online "leaderboard" can be abused that way, which is why I never pay any attention to it other than ranking among players I know and trust.Heres a new one for ya, I went into a ctf game last night where they were purposely raising the their rank by working with the opposing team to constantly capture and save the flag so everyone could get points, they would have 7 guys from each team at the their flag while one guy from from the opposing team would capture the flag and then somehow release it so it could immediately be returned by the other guys, and then repeat over and over again... creative buy you could also just have skill and play the game...
I will next time I'm online on the PS3 👍.Add us to your friends list.
That's when you sneak in with a tank and put one well placed shell on the flag.Heres a new one for ya, I went into a ctf game last night where they were purposely raising the their rank by working with the opposing team to constantly capture and save the flag so everyone could get points, they would have 7 guys from each team at the their flag while one guy from from the opposing team would capture the flag and then somehow release it so it could immediately be returned by the other guys, and then repeat over and over again... creative buy you could also just have skill and play the game...
I guess that answers the question why people at the top of the leaderboard have so many points in such little time. 60 points per minute for some of them, and I thought it wasn't possible.Heres a new one for ya, I went into a ctf game last night where they were purposely raising the their rank by working with the opposing team to constantly capture and save the flag so everyone could get points, they would have 7 guys from each team at the their flag while one guy from from the opposing team would capture the flag and then somehow release it so it could immediately be returned by the other guys, and then repeat over and over again... creative buy you could also just have skill and play the game...

Is this because you are snagging the game as it ends and that is when people are most likely to leave? Would watching the time limit work the same do you think?I do have a tip for joining ranked Zone Matches though - when you refresh the server list and look at the preview for the server, it tells you how many points to go until it's hit the score limit. If you join one when it's at the limit (5000+ or 3000+ with new servers), I 90% guarantee you will get into it. I've not payed attention to the other game modes, but it might be the same.
No, but they are fun to watch through a sniper scope and then pick off the winner when he is standing there basking in his glory and checking out his handy work. Two bad players don't make a good one do they? .
Yes, I think so.Is thsi because you are snagging teh game as it ends and that is when peopel are most likely to leave? Woudl watching the time limit work the same do you think?
I'd suggest setting up a LAN game and then play by yourself, just to get comfortable with the controls.Anyways, any suggestions for bring a little fun back into the game?
Can I just say, I totally suck at this game. I fly inverted (always have, even with the original Warhawk) but play ground vehicles regular. For some reason, switch between the two confuses my little brain and it takes all the fun away from the game. It just sucks getting my rear handed to me by a 8 year old.
