So I just sent a car about an hour ago, Do you think I could send a Gift Car Ticket and receive a car?

The clock reset at midnight. I sent a car yesterday afternoon and one this morning and they both arrived at their destination.
WARNING: A car in ticket form is still count as a car, you can't bypass the one car/ day rule this way anymore.

I just had a perfectly successful trade.

One LFA and one Veyron, both physical cars, were transmitted just fine.

People there's no ryme or reason to why cars are lost. The person or people who decided you can only trade one car, 5 paints, 3 horns or whatever are knuckle heads, that's what's caused all the problems.

It should be a free for all, where you can trade as much or as little as you choose. It's an arbitrary ridiculous system and it needs to be changed.

agreed. I dont buy the notion that "it clogs the servers." I mean how much space can it really take and for how long? Its simply transmitting a car, object, etc from one account to another." I have yet to trade since last thur when all this went down. I have MANY trades backed up. and probably some that I have lost due to this. I sure hope they change it where we can send multiple cars in one day. IF not unlimited, then atleast 5 or 10.

?????

Obviously its doing something to the servers or we wouldn't even be having this discussion... If i remember correctly they said the servers were originally set up to handle 500,000 connections. The game sold over 5 million copies in less than two weeks. By doing the math and considering the fact that the game is designed to constantly connect to the servers, this should be expected...

Look at the call of duty's and numerous other games that launched with underpowered servers. They were bombarded with way more traffic than they could handle and what happened? They crashed and burned. Black ops has been out longer than GT5 and they still have yet to get their stuff together.

Think about it... The limit is there for a reason. The servers can barely handle the traffic now, imagine if we had free reign.

Either trading is broken or there is some new obscure system of rules in place. I deliberately created 2 accounts and found that you can only send a car of one variation to one person, subsequent car sending attempts get lost in space. i wish PD would just tell us what the deal is because right now i dont even want to chance a trade. id rather grind for whatever funds i needed, and cycle the UCL through the license tests until my goal pops up

You might have given the answer to yourself, you d'rather grind. That is what they want us to do. The thing I find odd is, has one of you lost paints horns or something else than cars?? I have sent a lot of goodies as test and all reached the other end and got sent back, not one was missing.

I've never had a problem with Black Ops. I gather some have, but it's not to the extent of the problems with GT5 online.

Treyarch development time between COD MW and Black Ops is no where near the time between GT5 Prologue and GT5.

That the servers can't handle the traffic now, let alone if we had free reign is no excuse. PD should have anticipated this happening, they had a long time to think about it and prepare themselves. We are talking about a professional organisation which for the most part has turned out an excellent product. Never the less, it's the little things that matter and this problem with the servers is extremely frustrating.

I have no doubt that these problems will be sorted out in due course. Rome wasn't built in a day and all that, it would be nice to have a little more communication from PD in regards to what the problem is and possible solutions, maybe it's a language problem.

Some? Try thousands. Almost every 3 or 4 games you get in a lobby where the game won't start ("waiting for more players to balance teams" even though the room is full), or after 2-3 games played you get ejected back to the main menu. I have a great connection and have little to no issues with other games. When it comes to COD though I expect the same old party issues, connecting to game issues, disconnects, sitting in lobbies waiting for the match to start for 10 mins, etc. Happens to everyone on my friends list as well so it's not just an isolated issue. But for some reason because it's COD it's accepted.

COD has been this way for years. GT5 online is much more stable and it's online interface is brand new compared to the same code that COD has used for years, and they still can't get it right. Not to say GT online doesn't have it's kinks, but for the most part it's been a smooth, enjoyable part of the game.

This may be true, but they are just building on the same game engine, basically a copy+paste of the previous game. So it's not like they are starting from scratch every time. The online portion of COD has been pretty much the same since COD4, and MW2 was plagued with server/disconnection and party issues. Same thing with Black Ops.

Again, the example of COD, a game that rakes in multi multi millions $$ each game has the same exact online issues every time. You would think after pumping out generally the same product each year and the money they profit, that they could get things ironed out. Last night I played Black Ops with 5 friends in a party and it took about 10 minutes just to get everyone together in the same game (some would make it in, others wouldn't), and played only 2 games before the disconnects started and the party broke up. Today I played GT5 online with a few friends for roughly 3 hours straight without a single issue.

I understand that every game has online problems. Lags, connecting problems, etc. But PD and Sony both knew that GT5 sells will make their selling high, so they should make servers with a bit bigger capacity, mostly because this game is an icon for PS users, and they had time for this. As we could read several times, both of the 2 companys had record sells. It should be a bit more important for them to repair bugs faster, but if not, they should send a notice at least with words like this: "dear users, who waited 6 years for this ****, please do not use the car trader, if you dont want to loose a car what was costed millions of credits, what took days or weeks for you to collect, we can't garantee that the trade will be succesfull.."

That is all what i want from PD..

ps: anyone could find any support site to PD or GT5 where I could tell my problems? I couldn't..

I don't know what to say. MW2 and Black Ops I've had no problems what so ever. GT5 I can't connect to rooms, car trading problems(I've never traded more than 1 car per 24hr period).

Maybe it all has to do with where you are in the world. How many people are playing the respective game in the region you are and obviously connection speed . I'm not knowledgeable about how these things work, in regards to server load and such, so I can only speculate.

Beware I sent a car to a trustworthy member last night and he never received it. Be cautious about extremely rare/expensive cars.

@Organ_Donor - Thanks youuu... Every single time i play black ops we spend more time trying to keep the party together than actually playing the game. We usually run a 3-4 person party and either mid game we will all be disbanded or before we even get into the lobby we will lose a player somewhere along the line. Another issue i noticed is my controller settings reset constantly. I play with a tactical layout/sensitivity:4, but everytime our party gets disbanded all of my settings go back to default (sometimes at the beginning of a match and sometimes randomly).

As far as GT5 the actual online gameplay in my experience has been great. I have played for hours on end with my cousins with no issues. The only thing that seems to be giving anybody trouble is the gift feature.

I have my fair share of issues with black ops as well... getting booted back to the lobby... zombies tend to be a little less problematic, which is good, because i think 95% of the time is spent playing zombies, lol... speaking of which, i think it's time to go blast a few... =P

^1.04 Patch for Black Ops is coming out in 10 minutes, which will fix the party connection issues, knife lunges, etc. :D

Looks like it's time to get back onto Black Ops, since GT5 has trading issues. =P

NNNOOOOOOO!!! I just booted up black ops, lol... damnit...

Managed a successful trade this morning. Still trying to figure out why it was flaky for me yesterday. It's almost like the servers implemented some sort of overflow control. Meaning I could send a car and then subsequent ones wouldn't go. Then a couple hours later it would work for one car and not the subsequent ones. This test was carried out over different Psn accounts so it leads me to believe the overflow control is managed by ip addresses and not accounts. I dunno I could be completely wrong of course.

Good afternoon GTPlanet.

Traded yesterday and today... everything was ok!!! No need to wait 24h, just one trade a day.(ticket or garage) 👍

The thing is, make sure that the other account doesn't have any gifts waiting(on the line), it looks like that only the last one to arrive will survive, the others are forever lost in the man furismo jive dimension... :)

cheers and beware of the scammers!!!!

this isnt correct, since the servers came back up after the maintenance trading has been working fine under the 24hr rule regardless of if you have gifts waiting or not. I've logged in to see multiple cars in my mailbox for the past nights and everything was just peachy

Every trade has worked for me when both parties are sticking to one car per day limit. No problems at all! :)

Send a car yesterday, the other guy was in an endurance race so he was online. I wanted to be sure on that one, so stuck to the 1 car a day limit. No the car did not arrive at his account, so no difference if the glitch is used. We should try if there is a difference if both traders log out and in to Psn just before the trade(kinda refreshing the connection)

What about tickets? Do they count as a car trade or can they be sent (and received) if you already sent a car from your garage? Anybody have experience with it?
