Yeah but I think the problem is that its telling people "car sent" or upload complete or whatever (I see different messages each time). so you think it went through, but it doesn't...
 
Damn now I have to wait until they fix this server. And I don't have any bday car to trade so MOVE ON Poliphony THANKS :)
 
just tried sending a friend a gold vette(stock) to test,3 hours and he still hasn't recieved it...

just wanted to add,i sent it the way your supposed to,not the "quit the game" way,still nothing atm

hate to tell you (and everyone else waiting) but if he didn't receive it within a minute or two, he won't receive it at all!

This isn't something where its a backup and all of a sudden you will see all the gifts appear, when it doesn't instantly go to their account, its lost! This has been confirmed a ton since the game launched. Sucks doesn't it!
 
yeah you say just but then you say 3hrs? do you mean 3 hours ago?? or actually 'just' as in within the last 10mins??

Just like the last 3 days, I have no issues trading cars.

But I only send 1 item (car) and make sure the other person is in the community.
I think doing anymore than 1 item and your just asking for trouble.


And Aumakua, how would people cheat if we could backup our progress?

I don't see a point in cheating myself from completing the game, myself.
I would like to have an uber save circulating for all the people that are members of race teams so each would have access to all cars and all tracks.
Others can use it as they see fit, but I still don't call it cheating.

I don't see how birthday glitching is cheating either.
It doesn't make them any faster on the race track.

I don't see no wrong in this only if said account wasn't used to just to distribute cars and stockpile a garage of purely rare cars. If it was used for the purpose of a "racing team" to have all cars at their disposal or a tuner to try different set-ups.

Let me reveal it, besides it's not that useful anymore. You CAN backup your GT5 save game!
In form of system backup. I plugged another hdd to ps3 and installed only gt5, with its update it backups to about 500 megs and it takes 2 minutes to restore this backup with gt5 with tickets, cars, etc.
This can be used to clone cars and other stuff and I effectively used it myself.
Last few days I wasn't playing the game. Just using tickets. And its soooo boring. I don't know if I regeret it or not but I decided to delete all my GT5 saves and backups and start from scratch. It may look crazy idea but from now on I want to play fair and enjoy the game but not overhelming greed. 👍

yes it does,thankfully that was just a test vehicle though so im not to concerned about it.im not "waiting" for it btw,im at work LOL

Lost one gran turismo F1 today in a trade...
While the other guy successfully send me his car...

This bug start to be annoying.

Well I have never done it on a PS3 but from what I have read on the other threads basically you would be able to back up your game save. Trade your cars, parts, paint to your sub accounts, then use your backup save and trade all those same items back to your main account, basically doubling everything you have... Of course if they fixed the "trade more than one car per day" glitch then that would take a long time to do except for parts and paint.
 
well my and my best friend traded cars two days ago.

I gave him my red bull touring car, he gave me his PD F1 car.

last night we traded cars back, i gave him the PD F1 and he sent the red bull touring car, except the touring car never came through.

The fact that we lost a $1,000,000 car sucked, we were lucky on the other hand to not lose the 6,000,000 F1 ride.

PD get your **** together
 
Sucessfully transferred an LFA '10 an hour ago and then lost it trading it back.
Tried 10 minutes ago with a standard Yaris and it was lost.

you could just not process the car tickets on the 2nd account and send them right back. there is no set limit on that

I completed a trade with a member of gamefaqs at 2:55PM EST. Both cars were received without issue. I'm not in any way suggesting others should try it, just letting those that may be curious know about my experience.

For the most part I think at least 90% of the trades done today were affected by this issue. That 10% should consider themselves very lucky. I took a loss of 500,000 today with my Tony Stewart NASCAR being lost in a trade. Wishing it would magically appear back in my garage or in it's intended destination. Highly doubt any of that would happen though.

High and dry, I'd put money on it. Having lost a Peugeot 908 HDi FAP – Team Oreca Matmut ‘10, I'm in the same boat as you, and not happy.

I do hope this gets fixed. I didn't take a huge loss but I would appreciate care free trading and being able to trade more than once. I hope they do an hourly limit.
 
I just attempted a trade between my 2 accounts. Nothing came through. it was the accounts first and only trade. My advice... DO NOT TRADE! Put all transactions on hold. Better to be safe than sorry :)
