If your assertion turns out to be correct and PD have done this on purpose, with no warning. That's the end of GT for me.
Other games where people have used glitches to get ahead, the developers have given warning to people that they better stop or there will be consequences. Red dead comes to mind.
I hope it is just a bug in the servers, as I want to keep the faith in PD.
I have had trouble just trying to send multiple museum cards. I don't think this is just a car issue. I also can't see how it related to the birthday thing. Before yesterday, I had sent multiple cards on two other occasions with no problems. I'll try again later, maybe it was just server load, or someone getting a jump on the new Net NotSoNeutrality.

Really? Firstly, you don't know if that's the case and second, my garage begs to differ.
On top of that, ask all the people who have received fantastic trade deals from me, often getting far more in return for what was offered.

Cheaters aren't the only ones getting screwed here. I traded for an altezza touring car and an integra touring car last night, neither of which showed up. People trading cars they actually earned and have in ticket form are not getting delivered. Those are cars they have every right to trade as many a day as they want. If it was just the cheater cars it wouldn't be this big of a deal.

I'm not going to sit here and front like i never did the b-day glitch, because when GT5 first came out, i tried it... I tried it till i could get all the 67 cars for myself, and by the time i got that Miura i had multiples of everything else... So i traded them, and that was that.
Beyond that most people just went wayyy overboard with it. To the point it became the norm... I just dont understand how people could sit there and enter/exit the game for hours on end...

I've never used this so-called 'birthday glitch' but I've lost my friends tuned R8 - now I feel obliged to buy him a new one. Even so, I'm not sure what people using the glitch has to do with the issue which most likely lies with PD. It's amazing what people will say to deflect blame on the real culprits for shortcomings in this game.

Ok everyone let's not get to hasty here. I understand we've been losing cars left and right. There's no reason to take this out on each other. Just be more careful while trading. Try to avoid using the multiple trade exploit as it seems to be the reason behind the cars going missing. I myself have attempted to trade using the exploit and lost my Tony Stewart NASCAR. So all we can do is sit back and hope the cars arrive where they were supposed to. Maybe there's been such a load on the servers that they're backed up. (Or maybe we really shouldn't be doing this.) Regardless I wish peace upon this community. Let the trades continue. (If possible) Have a good day folks.

The high value of the car hurts, but what hurts more is the damage to the reputation, the feeling that people won't trust you. If I'd done a Birthday glitch to get the car I wouldn't care, as I could just do it again.

I already have the cars I want and am free to dive right in to the game free of financial constraint.
I still have to do all the driving it takes to level up and complete the game, so it's all still there to be done.
But if I get a little bored of the career, I can take time out to test drive, time trial and race online with a huge selection of fantastic cars at my disposal.
As for getting what I paid for.. I paid for a disc and it's contents.
Admit it, sounds like fun eh? It should be, it's a video game.. Real life is the grind, games are an escape.
Think about it.

I haven't harmed myself in the slightest. I got what I wanted out of the game. Which is to drive the cars I want to drive.
As for you implying that I've somehow shafted people with cheapened offerings, you couldn't be further from the truth.
Nobody HAD to give me anything, and as I've already said, 9 times out of 10 I give far more than I receive.

Both of you need to shut up already. No one cars whether you guys think its ethical or not. This thread is supposed to let everyone know whether or not the trading is working. If you guys keep flaming each other the MODS will lock it and then we won't be able to easily communicate what is going on trade wise. If you want to flame back and forth all day use your PM.

It was quite entertaining watching you guys go at it during the first round of posts. Each of you presented valid arguments. Each of you were right in there own way. I'll admit I've used the B-Day glitch a couple times. Although I've used it, I've never traded any of the said glitch cars away. Usually I gave them away unless I acquired them by trade. (Like my Mark IV I traded to ebud007) That being said there's a place and a time for everything. This is not the place or the time for it. Being that we have a community at a stand still because this game doesn't want to let us trade. Exploit or not!
