I think we don't see such message because it's not implemented in current version of the game which is 1.03.
However, gifts were limited from the start. I sent 64 gift cards before 'the end of gold rush' and only 50 showed up on the other side. So it was limited on server side but I haven't been warned in any way about it.

Well what can we say? We paid 50 dollars for the game and some of us bought ps3 for 300 dollars just to play gt5, and then PD thanks us by stealing our cars too? And then some of us here cursing MS for their greed. Well xbox live costs, but their server infrastructure are more stable and better. Really funny eh. Or are the servers to weak for our demands, if thats the case its to bad and a shame, we living in 2011.

I have held off trading since yesterday afternoon when I went to work. This morning, a guy is adament we trade, I explain to him the risk but he still wants the car saying, he will send his first to prove it works. I again tell him its hit and miss. He send me his car and I receive it just fine. I go to send mine, he never gets it. I recorded it and everything to prove that I am not bsing anyone here. I have made atleast 20 successful trades until now. Now I am stuck sending back his car and losing a Audi R8 LMS team playstation. what a bunch of BS

Standing up for Atiger here - I was in the trade that lost the 4m car. We messaged at length last night, but nothing, nada, zip.
But as above, for the feature/glitch - call it what you want, to suddenly stop with out warning, or even any "gotcha suckers" comment from PD, does tarnish the reputation of everyone involved, whether they were legit traders, or those with time on their hands to farm for birthday cars, or grind for cash.

If you recorded the process, then don't send his back. Especially if you kept the messages where he is adamant that you trade.
it looks like every one thinks they "fixed the glitch" and its causing regular trading issues. Has anyone confirmed this? or is this all just guessing? I mean are normal trades working? some have said car parts and paint transfers are working. This morning I used my sub account to send a car I just bought (level 0 car) and a couple parts and paint. Well the car said it sent but never showed up on the main account, the parts and paint wouldn't send, kept saying upload failed. I figured the car was lost and had something to do with servers rather than them fixing the birthday glitch. I lost a couple cars last week too because of servers. They have 5.5 million copies sold, I bet its the servers and the fact that there are actually 8 million accounts in use on them because of the "glitch" hahaha

I was sending some colors and got new message 'Upload failed.' Color didn't vanished but its count became 0. I tried to send it again and 'Upload failed' popped up again with count -1. Five years of development and it still shows such bugs, meh...

That seems right. It's his fault you lost the car. He couldn't wait so you have to suffer? I don't think it should go down like that. You should get the car being that you warned him prior and he insisted.

Yeah, I did one earlier (with myself) and it disappeared. I am not sending even pocket lint until I have full confirmation that it is back up, and PD has decided on one a day, none a day, 10 a day, etc.

i nearly lost my peugot 908(for the forth time). But when you get the error message you must directly put off your ps3. worked for me
