Round 2, Suzuka,
Drivers Briefing
Track: Suzuka / Change Weather
Weather Forecast: Weather 25%/ Changeability 8-10
Laps: 53
Grip: Real
Damage: Heavy
Ok so we are now at round 2 of season 2 for the WEC, things coming from the previous event,
+) TIRE RULE: Though no one was penalized for breaching it due to the mass DC, there were several people whom breached it, remember that it has to be one solid 40 minute stint, this does not mean alternate between softs and mediums during the race to use up the 40 minutes, they must be used for 40 consecutive minutes,
+) THE START:All cars must maintain a suitable gap, not to far not to small, some drivers left big gaps while others were far to small, and the damage rippled through when drivers were flying to catch up huge gaps to a stopped field, Be sure to have an out plan if the field stacks up, remember you need to be close enough to take position almost immediately when called, and with Suzuka's famous tight chicane at the end of the lap it is imperative that all adheres to this rule as best they can,
+) HEAVY DAMAGE: Having this in place clearly didn't scare people out of being boneheads, specially giving damage in the warm up lap, avoidable contact penalties will be extremely harsh,
+) TRACK LIMITS: Are not an implied rule, they are a mandatory rule, you must keep within the confines of the circuit limits, we will also be getting harsh on this too with penalties,
Which brings us to the race this weekend,
+) 130R: For those that do not know corner names, 130R is the fast sweeping left turn at the end of the back straight before the final chicane complex, This is the only turn with a run off area where advantage can be taken, If you find yourself going wide at 130R because you have come in to hot the rule is,
130R Rule, You must lift until you return the racing circuit, failure to adhere to this will result in a 10 second penalty to your overall race results,
Reminders:
Remember it is the job of the LMP driver to find a way past the GTE driver without causing a collision, patients must be exerted strongly,
Pit lane white lines must be adhered to on exit, there is none on entry, but please make it clear you intend to be on that side of the road,
Any questions just ask,
