has anybody used my settings for the ITR? Are they any good?

If I got youre settings right, I just ran about ten laps with them except the tranny trick as I dont know how to do it. I have a few questions. When you posted your settings a few posts back you listed your camber a 2.7 and 10. did you mean "1.0" instead of "10"? second. I belive toe out is negative numbers but you listed your toe as a positive value. Do i have it backwards or are you running toe in, and either on accident or on purpose?

Ok, asuming I got it right, your settings gave me a slower lap than mine, although I couldnt come close to your time, and I dont have as much time in your settings as i have my own.

If you can clear up your setup confusions for me I'll re-run with sets I know are identical to yours. Then we can both cross reference each others sets. If we're both faster with one setup or the other then we'll know which one is faster.

Oh, annother quick question. on the main strait where you have the white line on the left, and then enough space till the wall to fit the car completely outside the line. which is the edge of the track the white line or the wall? In other words if I drive between the wall and the white line am I off the track? I've ben staying inside the line.

I just saw a T1 of 21.327 dirty. I overshot out of the first corner. (with my settings by the way.)

Small_Fryz, they didnt work for me either, but that may be due to the fact that im using a DFP, which is slightly slower to respond to turning. I have noticed that sometimes the DFP and the DS2 require radically different settings to get decent times.

with my settings:
T1='21.535
T2='47.083

Question, for the second corner (into the tunnel) are you able to keep it above 100mph? I cant seem to maintain more than 91-95 or so throughout.

My slowest speed through second corner just before the tunnel is 141kph or 88mph, (pity i didnt go back in time) my avg speed for that sector (sector 4) is 162kph (101pmh) and the time is 5.021.

Inferno as long as 2 tires stays on the tarmac or the rumple strip at all times then its ok
 
well Inferno mate i just used your settings, but i stayed with my tranny trick and i got a very nice CLEAN lap indeed.

T1: 21.142
T2: 46.566

Betters my last lap by .5 (made up fair bit on last sector). Im very happy with this lap and inferno your settings are better than mine, but i do belive this track is about the lines you take as well.

Havent tested but gonna give them a shot, even though, they do look little odd... well not little, damn odd! :odd: but lets see them on the track even though, CTR= 👍 👍 ITR= 👎 👎 for me.

SpeedZoner, i found that the CTR feels faster and is easy to driver but isnt as fast the ITR, for me anyway. I sugest trying infernos settings with the CTR and go from there, the tranny trick helps a lot 👍
 
I am ashamed to post these, after all the good T's I have seen in here... :embarrassed: :indiff:
But here is what I got after 5 or so laps:

Car: Inegra Type R 98

Will try/put way more time into this during the weekend... I just thought I would give it a shot :D
By the way FF's are pretty fun to drive 👍 (never realized that before today, as I didn't use them much, but just for the specific FF events in GT3... and that was 2 years ago ;))

I think I am actually going to enjoy this week's WRS :sly:
Plus I am back into horsepower ranges that I like :D (400HP+)

Okay... I found out my problem with my first set of runs... T2 tires :dunce:

So I got the T8 tires on, with Smallz suggestion that maybe I didn't have them on.

Took Inferno's settings, and I'm in the process of tweaking them... First big change in the LSD... 5/45/5 now. Also on the TRD Celica

T1 - 21.855
T2 - 47.794

Much better than times that compare with the Minis :sly:
 
Excuse the noobishness as I'm about to join, but by Hotlap does that mean we just PM our fastest lap period? And by Time Discussion "T" times, does that mean we only discuss sectors of the track as to not give away our times (I guess its obvious huh lol). Do we include the T times in our PM of our lap time?
 
no you dont include your T time in your final lap.

We arent allowed to discuss any times after the T2, (in some tracks its T3) we can only discuss our T1 and T2. Pm your final lap time to kent. Also make sure no wall hits and to keep 2 tires on the track at all times. rumple strip is included as the track. Save your replay incase further investigation about your times is required. You can find settings posted earlier in this thread and luxy has a great learderboard that he updates often so you have a general idea whos fast.

Yes, i know its slower than the ITR BUT i do not want to use the "fastest" car for this... I drive just for enjoynment and fun so i drive with the car i find most enjoyable, the CTR :)
 
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET for the heck of it today i plugged in my old logitec FF GP wheel in, AND IT WORKED!!!!!!! Im sooo happy lol 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 :dopey:
 
Had a break between classes, so I gave it another quick run... Not much time to experiment with settings yet :indiff:
I managed to get a decent T1, but still T2 quite high. I will have to work on that section...

Anyway...

T1: 0'21.694
T2: 0'49.250

T2 is only 0.500 seconds faster than my last one, but by finish lap time was almost 2 seconds better :D ;)

So, it looks like I can handle 'Start - T1' and 'T2 - Finish' sections quite decently...
What am I missing between T1 and T2?! :scared:
I guess I will figure it out once I start experimenting with settings.

Luxy, you have me down for the ITR but I have chosen a different car :mischievous: for this week !!!

No more time for me to run this yet, Im still at 22.5 and 49.3, I still haven't got a clean lap yet but theres plenty of time !!!
 
ITR got busted out now. Damn this thing understeers way worse than the TRD

T1 - 21.685

Its just all that extra power..

Still waaaayyy more to improve with better lines and fixing the LSD. Might sound "im the god" talk but D3 will be mine :mischievous: Well knowing my luck and skills... At the finish line looking the tims i will be :scared: when i notice the faster times...

hugo boss have you tried the tranny trick? with the final at 3.000.

I will give your settings a run today and see if i can improve my times.

BTW brilliant times, my fav part of the lap is braking in the second tunnel when your car gets airborne :cool:

saw what i thought was a clean 46.4xx then found out it wasnt clean :(

Seen a 46.2xx 👍 but that wasnt clean.

so far my time is unchanged, but with these settings im lapping very very close to it consistently.

lost .2 in the last sector :indiff: :grumpy:

however im consistently getting 21.0xx T1's and easily getting around 46.5xx T2's only matter of time before i string together a lap that will push me the .141 further im aiming for :). my T2 of 46.362 should of done the job :grumpy:

Raced half a dozen laps yesterday and saw a 24.220 / 52.085 but I was too fast in the last right-hander and put all four wheels in the grass on the outside.
There is still a full week-end to improve our time (this is the third time we run this race :dunce: )

I spent 3 hours last night trying to get something decent. Had a couple of 21.2 / 47.0 laps, dirty, of course. Then ran a beautiful clean 21.3 / 47.1 that was +0.003 at the line, which means I couldn't save it :crazy:

After that, the best I could manage to save was +0.800 overall ... so slow I don't even know what the splits are 👎 It drives me nuts that you can only save the fastest lap, and if you run something fast but dirty, you have to exit all the way back to the arcade mode menu and ruin any rhythm you had going. I say poop on that.
 
Ran a few laps trying to improve on my times but to no avail.. :grumpy:

However tried a Honda ITR and used your settings Small_Fryz and they're very good. Immediately got a T1 21.6 and a T2 48.0 but strangely enough I was still faster to the line in my old lap with drastically slower T1 and T2, even though I can see a big mistake in the last sector of that lap! :dunce:

Oh well.. Have managed to get a cold so I'm not sure I'll run anymore laps this week. Can't seem to concentrate with a runny nose and slight fever.. 👎

Will wait until after the weekend to submit my time though.. Perhaps I'll get a lucky lap! :)

i cant belive im keeping up with you guys (Tannis and Hugo Boss)

Yes tannis i agree, hugo's settings are very nice espically the gears. Hopeing to improve my lap by about 2 tenths then i will be happy.
