The secret in question,

Is simple but true

Attacking some corners

But only a few

Approach is the key

If only you knew

Now give one more go

To catch my T2 :)

👍 well done .

yeah well, putting it all together in one lap seems hard this week. Ive racked up a little over 600km already :(.

EDIT!!
It seems ive driven too much this week the S2000 is perminatly decreased in power. Anyway ive had enough of the combo this week, T1 37.3xx T2 1:19.0xx i think, anywho i can go at least .6 faster but its not gonna happen. Im not gonna submit yet, but id say i wont be improving.

I also had a big power decrease when the car reached 250km. I could hardly run a T1 below 38.8. I simply reloaded the game and was back at 150km.
I improved my lap time by 0.010 with worse T times ! I'm now at 38.004 / 1'20.340
I hope that in the week-end I can put correct sectors together in the same clean lap and eventually reach the 1'19.5 I'm aiming at. :dopey:

T1 36.789

T2 1.17.242

Clean lap :D

Are you sure you didn't get some "lovely Saudi ladies" to drive that for you? ;)

Great time 👍 👍 👍

Im sat at 38.220 and 1.20.727.
Im really struggling to get the first right hander with enough speed to get up the hill, Im currently trying to come in at quite a wide angle and power through the corner to maintain a high speed, is that how hte corner should be taken ??

flat-out

38.284
1'19.864 :D

But with a disastrous last turn losing half a second. :grumpy:

T1 37.878
T2 1'20.081

With a great last turn.

Finally found some time to run a few laps. Not so sure that my settings are the best they can be but I promised myself I'd only use my own settings, to force me to experiment a bit..

T1 37.975
T2 1'20.497

..and then a great last turn, easily the fastest I've managed so far, shaving off more than .6 of a second on my total laptime.. 👍

I see I'm very far behind everybody else but don't mind much.. I'm still enjoying myself. :)

Cheers!

No practice for me yesterday, I unlocked the Las Venturas region at GTA:SA and spent the whole evening driving around in the desert.
I'll have to practice tonight if I want to go below 1'20.

Might aswell realise that I won't find anymore time to practise this combo.. Pretty satisfied with my preformance though, in particular with my last sector! Big thanks to vexd for taking the time to try to walk me through that difficult right hander.. (I made some progress there eventually!) 👍

Time submitted! :)

Cheers!

Found quite a bit on the T1. :D
Lost it all at the right turn after the back straight. :grumpy:
Gained half a second on the last turn. :D

Splits now:

37.853
1'19.985

Nice poem, Persian Pride

I gave this combo a serious try last night and will be submitting this time.

T1: 36.417
T2: 1'16.262

It seemed like an easy combo at first, but it became clear soon that I was wrong  . Had to spend quite some time on the settings... Great choice, Kent 👍

Next weekend I'll be busy with renovating the kitchen and living room, so I won't be part of next week :guilty:

I finally found yesterday why I couldn't run again my 1'20.0 from wednesday : dirty oil. After an oil change and 30 more laps, I have a clean save at :
T1 = 37.654
T2 = 1'19.744
and a final turn that I could call 'average'.
I'll perhaps give it another try tonight.

The thread seems to be ****ed up since I posted my new best times from this week-end. Are they so good that even the database was upset and crashed ? (I just hope posting again might solves the db degradation)

Nice going Hugo 👍 👍
I can see where you're coming from with that T1 and the remainder is made up from the main right=hander followed by the sweeping left turn whilst maintaining maximum speed. Easier said than done and I was hoping that I didn't have to go that far but it looks like I will have to adjust my settings and run again tonight :yuck:

I believe someone earlier likened this car to the Mini by the way it handles. They were spot on with that statmemnt 👍

Thanks, Jerry!. It really handles like the Mini indeed. Downside is that the wheel gives you a great advantage too, so you'll be doing really great when you get into the 1'16 at T2.

Try to ride the curbs everywhere, except for the two lefthanders before T1. If you jump the curbs there, you'll lose some significant time. Only shift up when you need to avoid the limiter. Like in those 2 lefthanders, you can shift to 5, but when you stay in 4th, you'll notice that's much faster. I noticed that when I changed my 3th and 4th gear (increased them). That brought me a few tenths.
Another tip is to drive in straight lines as much as possible. At the easy right-left after T1, stay close to the inside and drive over the inside curb. When you hit the curb, you can drive in a straight line afterwards and only need to steer a little to the left at the exit. This simple thing already brings you 1-2 tenths...

Here are my settings, for anybody who wants to give it one last shot!

I hope my settings can help you guys again like last weeks 👍

Thanks Hugo, I'm in the 1'16's already anyway after having played around with my gearing earlier, but I'll have a look at yours so I can compare yours to mine 👍

Time submitted.

T1 37.078
T2 1'17.666

Very cautious around last bend after that T2! First 1'17 I'd seen!

Now I can start GT4!!!!

gonna have a last minute dash with your settings hugo :D.

Time submitted.
I will be lucky to beat anybody from Division 3, this week :D

GT4 took me every spare minute I had this week, so I ended up putting only 20 laps in this WRS, 15 of which were with my bad settings and the last 5 with Hugo's.

The car seemed on steroids, once I changed the settings - thanks Hugo :D

To Small_Fryz: sorry, I didn't have time to try your settings as well, as I finished a lab report 30 minutes ago, and I only had those 30 minutes to do an half decent lap and submit the time, so I thought I would go with whatever settings were readily available at the touch of my laptop.

The Wizard.

Hugo's settings made the car better, but i didnt have the patience to beat my previous time. good luck everyone seeya at the finish line

I had no connection to GTP yesterday evening and I only submitted this morning. I hope Kent will accept a late submission.
BTW, I didn't practice again, so I stay with my 1'19.744.
