Time submitted last night, but I couldn't post here as something was wrong with gtplanet.

36.762
1'17.338

Thanks for the settings Hugo. 👍

I finally got my DFP in the mail today ($50 on eBay, lucked out)! Man, what a difference! So much more control...

I took the Spoon S2000 for a few laps on R246 with the DFP and it really makes a difference, the car is a lot more responsive but I am still not up to the task of racing with it. I will have to spend many laps relearning to race with the DFP. I was running from 5 to 12 seconds slower than my current lap time (and I am not even one of the fastest racers...).

Maybe I should just put the DPF aside until next week when I get GT4. From what I hear it people have to pretty much learn the new physics of GT4, so I might just throw in the DFP and make it a bit more challenging...

My wife got a kick out of it too, especially when I set up our spare computer desk (I kept it for a reason...), 17"TV (wishing for a big screen) and office chair into a "racing station".

...waiting for GT4...

Right. Thank god that us with neither a life nor GT4 can spend a pleasant evening at the numbers spot race. ;)

If I knew we could've had another days racing I might of nailed this baby. Late last night I found a setup that was throwing out 36.1's !!!!!!!  but I didn't even manage to find out what T2's it would've produced because I ran out of time. I Imagine 1'15's, that would've been awsome. 👍 👍

Too bad, Jerry  . What was your 'secret' about that setup? I've seen a 36.2 but that was an almost perfect 1st section...
I only experimented with springs, camber, gears and downforce, I'm sure my setup can be improved significantly :sly:

Even with my setup the 1'15 was easy possible (in theory then :dopey: ), so I'm sure you would have nailed that 1'15 and the race with some more time :scared:

I'll post the setup later 👍 I tried your settings but they didn't help none seeing that I'm a d-pad man, I suppose that was due to it being a wheel setup. However, the way I normally setup the tranny trick I couldn't reproduce your gearing for some reason, any ideas why? I don't think it would've made any difference using your setup but I really wanted to test your gearing with my setup but couldn't :ill:

There was a noteable difference in your setup compared to mine but in some areas we had them set very close to each other, stabs, rear downforce, rebound, LSD Init and camber for example. When I can get on the PS2 I'll post them

I believe there are two ways for the tranny.

1)final all to the right.
auto all to the left.

2)final all to the right.
auto all to the right.
then auto all to the left.

But with both ways I couldn't get Hugo's gearing.
I'm very curious how he did that.

Even without the trick there is no way I can even get close to Hugo's gearing. With no trick the closest I can get the 2nd gear (2.923) with auto 18 is 4.645

well with no gear trick and these settings correct i dont see why you cant acheive the gears :odd:.

Final: 2.580
Auto: 18

27 1/2 hours and still no Kent for Wk106...

He did say he was experiencing some computer problems... maybe someone should just start a Wk106 with Arcade Mini somehwere...

We could call the week (now 6 days) something like "No Kent" or "MIA - Kent"

It's not an idea I support.
When GTPlanet was down for a whole week in september, then back on line, we had no news from Kent for a few days. So to keep people (and myself) busy, I created a week 80 ½ event (here) which didn't have much success.
If you want to keep yourself busy while Kent is offline, just take a look at some of the Mini Maniacs event (link in my sig), there's plenty to do. ;)

Last posts don't appear in the thread overview (last one mentioned is Small Fryz'), should we expect GTP to be down again later today ?

Hmmmm

Where is he then?
Loox like we got some major problems somewhere down these wires...

Im hopin they all come back, Kent and the database and the forum overview info, but to me its obvious where they all went.

I mean, if YOU had GT4, where the hell would YOU be?

Since the thread overview is not updated anymore, perhaps Kent already posted new threads with week 105 results and week 106 combo and we cannot see them !
I hope this is fixed rather soon and we can run week 106 eventually.

i do not belive that is the case, my pm i sent to kent hasnt been read and kent hasnt been online for days.

6:19 PM, and I'm GMT+1.
If nothing new is posted, I'll run the Grand Valley Enduro in a Mini tonight ;)

Edit :
OK, week 106 has been posted by Ron.

Jerry, have you tried 'reinstalling' the racing gearbox in the change parts section? When I wanted to adjust my gears after a test run, I simply couldn't because the gears became waaay longer then. I don't really get it, as it usually only happens when I needed to break in a car, but the Spoon is a price car...

Everytime I wanted to adjust my gears, I had to reset them by reselecting it in the change parts section. That should work 👍

Yeah I tried that earlier but there is only a Full Racing option and nothing else to select to get the gears back to default. I'll see if I can purchase the Semi-Racing trans and try again. Thanks mate 👍

OK I've sussed it now :dopey: Interesting to see that our gear change points were almost exact except for changing from 2nd to 3rd after the first left turn 👍

for me to just reset the gears, i go to change parts and just click on racing suspension again, this seems to work the same as switching to something else then back again.
