KentFor all of you worried about the turn-out...
Not that I don't want a high turn-out... However, I would rather have this sort of turn-out than the other kind.
Why you ask?
Do I not want the series to be successful?
Well, I do indeed want the WRS to continue the success it has carried for the last 2 years.
However, I would rather race with a tight group of real racers than a large group of "gt4 just came out and that's why I'm here" racers.
Fact is, many of the older members are still waiting around for the crowd to thin out enough that only the serious racers are left.
The boom we got in racers turned the wrs into some kind of monster... The calm after that boom is where we will find the people who are really worthy of racing with.
And so I say, if you dropped out a few weeks after GT4 was released- good ridance.
The series is better off without the wanna-bes.
Sure they make great cannon-fodder, but who really wants to run in this series against a bunch of un-known racers that just showed up for the initial hype of GT4?
I would rather be with the die-hards any day of the week! 👍
(even if it means I can't keep up. )
Amen, brother!
I hope I can stick around long enough and post enough quality results to be considered one of the racers worth racing with. I know I joined after GT4 came out, but if I had known about the WRS before (and had a PS2 to play GT3 on) I would have joined up then. This WRS thing is a LOT of fun!
