Had a go just now, about 15 laps. My best time for now:

This is a handful of a car. My goal for this week is to reach in to 1:46´s. Dont think i can do any better than that.

After 20 laps i'm sitting on a 1'41.183 with at least 6-8 tenths to be found. Quite difficult to do a 39 but we'll see.

@LMP: I don't know this track in real life but the time stays white. Its hard not to count a lap when its white. So we need to keep two in the asphalt outside the rumble-strips/line-indicators? The times are going to grow. Anyway, more of challenge is always abetter good thing.

Yeah two wheels must remain on the track at all time! Or do you think its worth saying you can cut the chicane to eliminate cheating? I don't mind either way guys its up to you!

when i looked at the settings lo and behold,srf was on.

Had a quick half an hour run and my first lap was 2:03!!! Managed to improve thank god to my personal best below:

Reckon there's at least another 2 seconds out there.

Just some tips I found useful were:

Taking first corner in second gear with no throttle (lift off just before end of red braking line on track).

Taking each corner with a slower entry, to maximise exit speed, and get the power down as early as possible.

Its down to you, it doesn't make any difference on a dry track, I have it on low and have kept it like that since I got gt5. But if you would rather put on real, go for it!

Yeah i like to have it on I think, track edge and off track
feels as if it's got less grip, even in the dry.

Would be good to know who's using real or low as quite a lot of people
seam to deem it as an aid.

I don't really, I think its a preference and has no major effect on a car on a dry track. But its worth discussing 👍

Did a new 15 lap stint and suddenly I did 5 laps i the 1.46´s. Earlier today I was struggeling to get below 1:50. Now I have to set my goal to mid 1:44

A 1:41? That's fast! Any chance of a replay of that? I'm not doubting you, but you're almost 4 seconds faster than most of the faster times posted.

So far hood view with all displays off is working best for me. Gives a better feel for the cars weight shifts without sacrificing LOS. I tried driver view, it was fun but not productive. I sometimes found myself watching his hands, very distracting.

Edit 2: steering sensitivity is 6. This seems to make a large difference in the cars feel.

Haha nice improvement, looks like you are coming for me as well! Will have another half an hour run tomorrow to try and improve.

I´m using bumper cam, done so since GT1. Only using cockpit when I´m cruz´n
The Cobra has an awsome cockpit though.
I found that, as LMP787B mentioned earlier, braking early and go slow in to the corners is the fastest way to get this car around the track

@ smskeeter23 You are allowed to adjust the break balance if ABS is OFF
