Hi,
Got to run a few more laps tonight,
I was able to find a little of what I left on the track last
night.
Best clean lap so far:
T1=15.6
T2=35.2
T3=1:02.20
Still more out there, just need to fine tune.

Later,
Cinjun8

**EDIT**Noojra, try trail braking into the tunnel..from right side of track, brake and turn in,slow down to about 80 mph,get back into gas,try to come out of tunnel in the middle of track.(crossing T1 @ about 87 mph)It should help to set you up for the next sharp right turn.Hope this helps.

Indeed, cinjun.
(nice to have you around again too ;) )

As for me...
Making progress but nothing worthy of mention. :mischievous:

In about 10 I may have a specific set up for you guys regarding the skyline.
However, off the top of my head,
semi race muffler
semi sports intercooler
port & polish
engine balance

Then a turbo (I think).

Will have more on that next time I post.
Till then,
-

First clean lap so far:

T1: 15.8
T2: 36.7
T3:1.02.752

I'm trying to pull three tents of the second sector.

I'm being a stubborn f@#%er and not following the crowds into the realms of Nismo Skylines. I'm running an Evo VI GSR at 462HP and PWR of 2.501.

Not seeing anything close to 1'02s though so I'll be trailing the field in that sense.
Its become a personal thing between me & the Evo to see just how fast it can be made to go! Anyone else sticking with an Evo?

Im running the evo VI gsr as well mate. I luv the cars. Mine is at 484bhp P/W is right on 2.500

Wow you're quick in that 3rd sector (26s). Very nice. I'm only getting thru that bit in 27s . Any tips :D?. I'm still on the times i posted a while back, just tweaking things here and there to make the car feel better, and then the times will drop (hopefully:ill: )

BTW any one has a good line for the first Tunnel? I find that I'm running way too wide when I exit the tunnel, maybe I'm just entering it too fast :dopey:
What seems to work for me is braking early, and downshifting to third while getting as much of the car as possible onto the massive rumble strip that turn has. Accelerate through the corner, shifting into fourth while turning or shortly after exit. It should give you lots of speed and a great line going into the next turn.

You sure you're in Division 3 TS020? Cause I'm thoroughly owned by that time.

Won the Amateur GT All Stars, won the Nismo R Tune, threw a few hundred k into it and it... feels like **** to be honest. Vibrates, understeers like a whore, I'm going back to my "normal" Skyline. I think it's safe to say I'm out of the running for this week.

Well, I was experimenting last night and I found out something interesting. It seems the bet handling car is *Drumroll* the New Beetle RSI! That thing is a Demon! Anyone looking for a good handling car for this race should check it out! Unfortunately, the Low HP Makes Sector 3 a b*tch, you only get to about 137 mph, compared to 150 in my NISMO 400R and a 155 in a CTR2. I got T3's in the 1:07's (bad for even me). I've ditched it after pissing away a couple 100K.... :( I just spent all the money I got in the GT Wolrd Campionship, winning my first GT40 :D. If now pissed away at least 1.5mil

EDIT: oh, yeah, I believe I found my car-the NISMO 400R, not fully tuned yet, either. I got a T3 1:04.5, I think.

Also, what auto setting gear ratio does every one use? I seem to get good times in the Dead center, with every car I've tried.

Yeah I'm in division3 .The car feels just great and it's one of my favorit tracks. If it's one of my favorits,I'm always a little faster than when I drive a car that's not my favorit.(Look at the results of week 72,just seven tents slower, good race of der alta)You will see,I'm not that fast!

What are you talking about?! That car is awsome! I ran it 3 laps and got a new best time with very little tuning! It blows the 400R out of the water. I highly suggest picking one up for those who haven't 👍. The car handles great with some tuning and has a good top speed. My P/W is at 2.52, I think. I'm getting high 1.5s with it after just three laps! (which is good for me, ;)) Too bad i wont be even close in Div 3 if TS020 is running 1:02.7s. Ahh, well, I don't expect to win any races anytime soon. I do think that I have shaken off a lot of rust. I havent touched an F1 car in while and I just got the GT40 Race and Road car. Cars with ubdersteer are good practice.

Yeh, TS020, are you sure you meet the 2.5 limit? I'm not getting anywhere near that time in my R-Tune...

Indeed TS020,
Those are some blazing fast times for division 3. 👍

As for what everyone has been asking about...
In case any one does not have this setup for the R tuned skyline here is something to get that pwr just right.

Equip the following power modifying parts
Semi Racing Muffler
Full Engine Balancing
Displacement up
Sports Intercooler
&
Light weight stage 3

Nothing more, nothing less.
no turbo, no computer chip.

Should come out to 530 hp at 2.501 pwr.

Good luck with it and have fun. :D
Later.

Yeah,530 HP,my R-Tune is like that too.But I'm telling you guys, this is one of my favorit tacks, look at my very first race in week 71.Two full seconds behind the last one of div.2.I hate Monaco and that's why I was that slow.Give me my favorit car(Fully HP GT-One race car :D :mischievous: ) at Deep Forest and I'll set a time to concure with div.2.

Try tuning the car differently (the various settings). All of the cars when running stock handle pretty badly (excepting the F1s, but setting them up differently can only improve). Look in the archive for week 28; there are some good setups in there...

I didn't just run it stock, I went through a similar tuning process as I did with the other cars - changed the suspension, the bound/rebound, the camber, the toe, the ride height, the brake balance, the LSD, the ASM, the TCS, the VCD.

I also already sold the thing. Why? God knows, just call me retarded, it was late. Guess my P001 and I are up for another championship run. Woo.

Thanks for the suggestions guys will try e'm later 👍

BTW Despite spending the last hour fustratrating myself with that stupid ghost, I have some good news.... I just saved a bunch of money on my car Insurance by switching to geico. Just kidding thats not it. after about a hour fustratrating myself with the ghost. I went in the Sim mode to check my P/W ratio I did an oil change, a car wash a bought a new set of rims for my black GT-R. its a black YOKOHAMA rim with a red ring on the outer edge, that skyline looks like the bomb, any who I went back in free run didn't load the ghost :D and Beat my T3 by .303 not to mention the 1,04 barrier :)

New T's

T1 16.0xx
T2 36.236
T3 1,03.899

I might be able to get a little more off provided I get the time.

Later

Well, I've now gotten my t3 down to the high 1:03s. I don't think I can improve onn that.

First clean lap so far:

T1: 15.8
T2: 36.7
T3:1.02.752

Damn, that's fast for Div 3. I think that t2-t3 section is faster than the Division I guys. I have a t2 of 35.59x and I got a t3 of 1'03.2xx, I thought I was going pretty fast through that section. Well anyways I think I'm done. I can't seem to put together anything that beats that lap, even though I messed up a little on the turn after t3.

TS020, I'm really looking forward to seeing that replay (ghosting it is going to be wicked). For some reason I can't pull out a 1'03, I'm just not having any luck with this excepting the occasional hot-lap that drives my fastest time downward in hair-thick fractions.

Well I just found a whole second in that session so I'm pleased, I'm closer than I was:

0'15.626
0'35.950
1'03.350

Lost 2 tenths in the second sector, but otherwise the lap was millimeter perfect. Perhaps I'm not out of it yet ;)

Which car did you get that run with?

Finally broke the 1'04 line; smashing all the way down to this:
T1: 0'15.717
T2: 0'36.048
T3: 1'03.506

If that ain't a miracle lap, I dunno what is (cut .4 seconds off the final time; so I'm satisfied for the day).

Just curious, what sort of speeds are you guys getting on the long straight? I'm right in the mix until T3.

I'm barely, just barely grazing 150mph before I have to jam on the anchors.
I'm struggling to get anywhere near to some of the fastest T3 times too.
I've seen a 15.8xx for T1 and 36.2xxx for T2, but lose out in the third sector and haven't dipped below 1'04.2xx for T3 yet. I'm in an Evo VI GSR though, not the R-Tune that everyone else is favouring. Reckon the R-Tune is probably approaching 160-ish down here to be able to post 1'02.xxx times for T3. Am I right?

Ok, that makes sense. I'm running the Beetle RSI. Since everyone seemed to be sticking with the Nismos and 22b, I thought I'd mix it up a bit, and I've been looking for an excuse to drop some credits into this car. Oddly enough, my times through the first two sectors are right up there with my times in the Nismo S-tune, and my T3 is hovering pretty consistently in the mid-high 1:07.xxx's. I think there's a bit more to get out of her in the first two sectors, and maybe even the third.

I hit 246km/h or so on the straight, and I'm still running a heavily tuned Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II (R34, J) - PWR is around 2.540, 524bhp, 1326kg.

I've run a few more laps within a tenth of that time and from sector times there's another 6 tenths there so I'll give it another go this afternoon.

I knew I heard my name somewhere... :D

I'm back "darn Sarf" now, after having driven 240 miles through the ****test weather ever yesterday (torrential rain, bouncing 2-3 feet, mist, lorry spray, 1-2 inch standing water and 50-60mph crosswinds - my girlfriend commented "Thank you for getting me back alive" when we stopped, and I felt like I'd gone 12 rounds with TYson, Lewis, a Kodiak bear and a 300 kiloton nuke). But I'm livin' and breathin'.

I'll have a crack at Excelling if it's wanted, although I won't shove it into my weekly results file. I'll post it separate, in the results thread for this week.

But of course first I have to do the race... :D

Ah, the English summer weather....
One of those things that I don't get homesick for!!!!
