Grrrrrrrrrr.
Spent my first time this week on this one tonight after getting back from Seattle.
Very very frustrating. 2 hours so far and not a clean lap to show for it.
Have just blown a 29.638/1'18.731 with a touch of armco coming out of turn 15 by the swimming pool. :irked:
This car handles something like a hybrid of a tank and a double decker bus. :yuck:

Touge Master
Time Update
T1-29.654
T2-1'18.698

...:(

what are you sad about??
unless your T3 is very bad, your in first place for div2 :( beating me by .3 :(

EDIT!!

T1 - 29.766
T2 - 1:18.770

improved my lap my .1 :dopey:
Touge Master, unless someone else shows up at the last minute the Div 2 crown is either yours or mine :mischievous:

I also find second works better comming out of the hairpin, as it reduces wheelspin, and keeps the rear end from cutting loose. Although I have to take the hairpin properly in order for 2nd to work, otherwise turbo lag will take a chunk out of my lap time.

I'll show up at the last minute but be sure I won't fight for a div 2 podium this week.
Raced 12 laps yesterday, and got a clean 30.394 / 1'20.936.
I just don't like the track, don't like the car, and don't have much time.

Joho, just a bit better.

But it was clean 👍

T1: 29.665
T2 1.19.885

Love this combo, but I agree that the GT-R is a bit heavy for this route.

No TCM; ASM

A bit ? Havn't got in any good runs this week. Tried a bit last night and couldnt break out of the high 19's, and nothing even close to being clean.

Thats exactly what i'm worried about my T3 isn't exactly the fastest i've done yet :grumpy:

New best times of 29.715/1'18.935

I finally managed to get a T1 under 30s after running more 30.0xx T1s than you could shake a stick at. And I'm also very satisfied with the sub 1'19 T2 time.

And it was a clean lap!

I find the chicane after the tunnel is a great place to lose lots of time, so you might want to check your line and speed through there. Otherwise the back to back downhill hairpins (right after the T1 line) are also another place where lots of time can be lost.

I just changed my line through that chincane and found my self with a 1:21.xxx T2

Finally!
A clean save! And Another!
T1 29.573 T1 29.353
T2 1'18.764 T2 1'18.262

Became a little cautious at the end of the lap after such great T Times, so overall lap time is only down by 0.2s from previous lap.

Finally a little progress:

30.097
1'19.835

Think I'll stop here. Had enough frustration for this week. :banghead:

Gah, I managed to improve my overall lap time, but the lap was as dirty as a Robin Williams stand up routine.

After that lap, everytime I got something good going, my mom would have to walk through the room, destryoing my concentration, causing me to start a few unamusing rounds of Monaco pinball... 👎

Dude,
If you only knew how much I can relate to this. :yuck:

I have a little brother and I constantly tell him that I need atleast a solid 1/2 hour before I can get my job done... so what does he do... Come into my room and bother me every 20 minutes. :irked:
God bless him but he kills me sometimes.

As usual, good luck on the laps everyone.
I can't wait to see what the final times are. :D

Till next time,

I set up the wheel and took a large chunk off of my clean save:

29.767 / 1:18.153

I cannot get steady T1's of less than 29.6 or so. If I could trim that riduculously bad T1 I would be in the 1:17's at T2 all day long because I'm really steady on the rest of the track. This stupid T1 thing is really pissing me off.:grumpy: I think my best T1 ever was a 29.4 and that was just dumb luck.:dunce:

Dudes I know, I know...

KIDS :yuck: I have a first sector among top five and crappy t2 19.8s, wich is one and a half sec down on what could and should have been, and Im burning to get it right.Unfortunately my aunt, my sister and her three kids have wreced all my chances this weekend. :ouch: :ouch: :ouch:occupying my room, using my tv :scared:

Race you to the console.

29.833
1'18.672

Still tons of room for improvement in T1... unfortunately I don't really know where I'm going wrong, which is not good considering there are only 3 corners. Still, my lap time seems to be improving every session I have.

That really sucks. :yuck:

Thanks for moral support EvO, I will have my revenge in the weeks to come. :guilty:

Congratulations with the great time; that T2: 1.18.6 is a provisional podium place

And my advice for your first sector would be to get good speed before you hit the start/finish line, third into st.Devotee, early breaking/early throttle to secure momentum uphill, and TIGHT line. Then you`ll have some time to play with to have a calm lap,

Check Hugo B(Or was it Luxy)s advice this thread for the Massanet and Casino that follows and you`ll shave four-tenths off.

Dude! That's a hell of a 2nd sector, you're 4/10ths behind me at T1, and a 1/10th better at T2! Wish I could nail it like that! This tells me that maybe I should consider buying a wheel! I've been using the DS2 D-pad for too long now, and its obviously affecting my ability to go faster!

Just obtained a slighter better lap time but with a slower first sector:

29.443
1'17.940

I just wish I could hook up a perfect lap! Hopefully I'll be a few tenths quicker at submission.

he all yesterday we had a ilink at my place it was fun whith al the guys.

the T1 is so frustrating, ive had 29.5xx but im consisently getting 29.8xx or 29.9xx. T2 is a joke as ive only got dipped into 1:18's 3 times. still hopefully i can get 1st or at least 2nd in div 2 and also hang with some div 1 drivers. This race is very frustrating, this track is proabably my least played track.

New save with garbage T1 again:

29.676 / 1.17.971

This is really aggrivating me that I'm losing .500+ by T1 and can smoke the rest of the track.:banghead: I've got some T1's as low as 29.303 now but always screw up when I get a good one.

The wheel's biggest advantage is for stock street cars like this, or rallying, IMO. Race cars it doesn't make alot of difference for me, I'm about even with both DS2 and wheel, or a bit slower with 800+ HP cars with the wheel. The main reason to get a DFP is becuase it's fun as hell! I can't wait to try it with GT4's new pyhsics...if we ever get the damn game!

Well, Xmas shopping for the Wife's presents has all but wiped out the rest of the weekend's practice. Off to Tahoe for 3 days snowboarding now too, so I've submitted my laptime.
Catch you again on Thursday to see the results :scared: and a new race :)
