Dropped by the testing room by accident. But hey it looks great and the 7pm EST timeslot is only 1am for me, can just make it.

I don't know if it's the servers, or what. But the rooms were crap tonight. Lag in Dr_Watson's room made everything slow motion, then when I opened a room we had no tire noise. (which for me makes it almost impossible to run quick laps)

👎:(

And here I was hoping servers would improve with the update... :(

By the way, we've passed the number of people it would take to fill 2 whole rooms, so there's two ways we can go about this.

- Individual qualifying runs during the week before the race, OR
- First come, first served room spots

Doesn't matter to me. There's always a few that never show up I don't think space will be an issue...I hope.

I actually have not driven the car yet and probably won't get to it until tomorrow. :ouch:

My preference is for 'First come, first served room spots', or with sign-up sheet on the day of the race. If I was running this I'd also make one slot (don't care which) dedicated NA-only, to cut down on lag issues.

Turbo,

Please make my wheel change and corrected car color

OwensRacing (OwensRacing) - Formula Chameleon Green / Black

Thank you

Also tire selection. Seemed in testing tonight many liked the Comfort Softs.

I never tried anything else on this car myself. Just curious if there is consideration or are we going Sport Hards.

Thanks

I don't like sign-up sheets because they clutter threads. Probably going first come first served. There's bound to be people that don't show.

Haven't decided yet.

Yeah Jason, you know well by now how things go. People love the "idea" of a series but not actually dedicating themselves to it.

So I suggest you make it first come first serve. Sorts it out nicely.

And as far as who can race which time, you're only allowing drivers to race either one right?
So we'll need to have people put down their prefered time.

And we could also split it this way: you take Tuesday nights I take Thursdays? (I can't do Tuesday 'cause I have to work early that day every week)

Room might finally be closed.
Madrid, Rome, Nurb GP/D, GVW, Clubman 5, Indy RC, and I think Tsukuba all confirmed good I believe.

I actually liked Rome the best, though a little hairy, once you find the preferred line it's overall pretty neat there.

Count me in! This will be my first online series. Hopefully I can keep up.

Here are the details.

ash0150 (ash0150) - Imola Orange / TBD

My wheels are going to be purple.

Not as bad as you would think. That corner is best taken cautiously as in most cars, this car is no exception, but if you don;t get on the power too early, it's completely fine.

I can vouch that Rome, Madrid, Nurb GP/D and Tsukuba are very nice to drive in this car. 👍

Nurb GP/D does have some sketchy spots, nothing undriveable, but I liked the other tracks better for lack of random over-steer.

I have nothing to do on Saturdays now, so is there any chance of having a Saturday series, too or no?

Even though i am interested to race here the time schedule doesn't suit me at all. However i would like to point out some things, that could improve your racing experience.

I raced this car a lot yesterday, with CS tires and no ABS and i also tried SH and ABS on. SH tires have way too much grip for this car. Combined with ABS the racing might get extremely boring after some time. It will be just stomp on the brake / stomp on the gas pedal situation.

I suggest you try turning the ABS off if you haven't already, as i believe after the 2.02 update the behaviour of the car under braking has improved. As for the tires, this car has a very snappy nature on certain cambered corners (perhaps due to the weird stock spring sttings), so using SH will only boost this sudden loss of grip effect and eliminate the wonderful gradual ''play'' this car has on the limit with CS tires.

I agree with Super Sic on the Snappyness lol Eau Rouge at 100-110mph and mid corner it just spins :scared: but im not able to race here fully so if I had a reserve spot, if theres space in the first 2 races I could come in for a play :).

I liked the RH tires, but when we tried CS it was much more fun.
I think we need to change the track list though....
Trial Mountain Reverse and Deep Forest are fun in every car but this one....
Tokyo r246 👍

This.

The car is a blast to drive and very challenging on CS super fun. The SH don't seem to have that much more qrip than the CS (maybe it's just me?) all it really does is make the car super twitchy, and even more challenging to drive, which I love :) I'm am good either way on either of these tires but I do admit the car is generally more balanced on CS's.

Problem with the SH tires is that the default suspension and diff are really wonky. So in medium-high speed corners the rear suspension bottoms out on any road irregularities (laguna seca is a nightmare) causing almost uncontrollable bump-steer. When we were driving around on laguna I did notice that if you take the bouncy corners a bit slower it will make it through ok without the complete loss of rear grip. So with the RH tires the car is just too fast for it's suspension. Too easy to get into bump-steer issues.
The CS tires take care of most of that, and most importantly make the car feel a ton better. I'm all for using the CS tires. And track selection is also important. If we use flat-tracks it's much better.

I'm going to change the tracks right now. We'll switch to CS tires, but I will not be taking ABS away.

Edit: MULE: No saturday series, sorry.

great 👍

and yeah, the car has ABS so disabling it is kind of silly.

Btw guys. Last night was wonderful racing. Had very clean and fun races. While these cars are a but "slow" there is a lot more going on to improve ones race craft. As well implement said race craft.

Been several races with extremely bad luck of getting run over and damaged. So very refreshing last night to get through the racing with out serious damage or any I recall for that matter.

Hope it's a sign for all racing to come.

As well turning point in my luck lately. ;)

Hopefully we can get some better rooms or we'll be in trouble. Last night was horrible.

Didn't have any lag till the end. Black screened.

GT5 online has been extremely bad as of late. Wish we had an idea why.
