" YOU SAY GOODBYE AND I SAY HELLO. HELLO HELLO, I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU SAY GOODBYE, I SAY HELLO. " ( The Beatles )

I've achieved the last missing bit yesterday at Trial mountain when celebrating a victory with clean race bonus in my red standard tuned non swapped GTS '13. Couldn't improve my times ( 12:49 / 1:48,6 ) but that's been cool racing, proud of it.

The other four challenges were really easy with three good cars ( the Hyundai VGT was a first drive for me - a wonderful surprise ) and a cheat :

And here's what makes my heart go boom boom these days :D :

390 km/h down the Trial Mountain back straight !

Ah PS PS PS I saw this one yesterday in my neighborhood :

@ROCKET JOE taking the CRB at the mountain with these bitces around is definitely a reason to be proud of 😍 .

As about me i did few races that needed to take daily mileage at Eiger with mostly stock cars from the past and at some i just changed tyres ( never racing ones ).

Still one of my lovely ones is my Marilyn with SS tyres and some other treatment that put her at 507pp .

I don't get it with the Viper race at TM, as soon as the race starts the AI vanish in the distance as if I had 100HP less and by the end of lap one, I am 10s behind last AI 😱

I know I am not the best driver but on normal difficulty I walk on most events, here I am not even sure I could get podium on easy 🤔

Just checked the replay, Gallo reaches 320km/h on the back straight while I reach 260km/h 😰

[Edit] much better with the GT3 and not a ECU restricted one...

The Autopolis race is quite good though the AI pace is hot they will stuff up their pit strategy and you can sneak in a 3rd as I did.

The Vipers, god how I hate these cars. They sound AWFUL, twitchy as all hell and so much understeer, pigs of a thing to drive. At TM they are blindingly quick on the straight but utterly USELESS through the final sequence of corners, so I am gaining 3+ seconds through there if I get a clean run but inevitably some AI muppet is parked on the apex.

Got turned around in the second tunnel as the AI barged it's way though, man seriously they gotta fix the AI behavior it is so, so bad. Made 1.7M in the challenges this week though so worth the angst.

I totally did not expect the Viper race to be that hard. Those AI cars have tons of power, and probably magic tires and brakes because I just don't understand how they can be that agile.

1st try was a solid win after a fierce battle to the top with a modified 02 Viper, but my 2nd run was a disaster. In theory I used a better, faster and more powerful 06 Viper, but I could only manage a 4th place.

More testing, tuning and racing are required, but overall, it is the best race of the set.

I must have been lucky in that Viper race...

First try was slightly tuned 2013 GTS with sport soft tires and had not the slightest chance to even follow the slowest car and quit...

So I tuned that car with most available parts except the supercharger(no swap though...), used all 5 weight reductions and put on RMs and all aero parts (and made a livery for it...cannot race a car I put so much tuning work into without doing so ;))...it come out with 780PP(619kw/1151kg)

First lap with that car was a total mess, I overshot pretty much every turn or corner. not getting one single braking point right, so I quit again after one lap...went back to the tuning shop and equipped it with carbon brakes(one thing I didn't in my previous tuning stint)
On the next try I was driving really safe in my first lap braking really early(was still on the last spot after that lap. but less than a second behind the next car), and went a bit quicker and more daring with every following lap, gaining position after position and taking the lead by the end of lap 6 and kept the opponents at bay in the last lap(altough any greater mistake would have cost me 3 or 4 positions..) and did win that race...

That car is a beast that needs gentle treatment and likes to coast through the corners, high gear/low rev is the secret there...on the two long straights it goes off like a rocket and leaves everything behind...but it hates full braking afterwards, instead lift the gas pedal earlier than you normally would, coast, and break as gentle as possible(and again, turn in on higher gear than you normally would and keep the rev as low as you can)...us the uphill part of the tunnel on the back straight as well to slow you down...
(that all was on medium difficulty)
And one more thing; never ever hit full throttle before the nose of that car faces exactly in the direction you really wanna go...

Worked well for me, maybe it is some help to you...

Just realise today that the gr3 Viper i use for TM was on......... intermediate tyres

So i pick the swapped one put gearbox to infinity 🤣 and won easy i can say ( normal mod ) and except first lap all my laps was at 47 's.

Try after the gr3 and my best lap ( one only ) was at 47's .

Put out the supercharger and try it again but an accident at the tunnel at 3rd lap( 5 cars collision ) lead to a 2.10 lap 😵‍💫 .
Didn't quit and keep on 20plus second behind and at the end i lost by less than 3 seconds and end up 3rd.

From my point of view this race needs NO RUSH and everything will take place in time .

Ohhh my God, am infected by the Viper virus ?

Japanese FF Challenge 450: Stock Honda Civic EK '98 -> CRB ✔️
European Sunday Cup 500: Stock BMW M3 '97 -> CRB ✔️
Vision Gran Turismo Trophy: McLaren Ultimate VGT Gr.1 -> CRB ❌
World Touring Car 900: Porsche 919 Hybrid Gr.1 -> No rain. 1 stop. 4 laps on softs, then 6 on medium. CRB ✔️
Dodge Viper One-Make: Dodge Viper SRT GT3-R. Started stock on softs. These road cars are unreal. Run away on the straights, grip in the corner. Only on the brakes I could gain some time. Finished P5. Put on the supercharger and a slightly longer 6th gear. Came home with P1 with 15s ahead 🤷‍♂️ -> CRB ❌

Daily was a 4-star that gave me a Tesla Model S -> sold as quickly as possible 😅 42k I think.

For those who had difficulty with Viper and don't want to feel shame choosing the easy level i officially declare, There is hope 🤩

Normal level , gr3 No supercharger, RS tyres and stock gearbox.

Of course the AI must adapt accordingly the car you use cause i didn't see any crazy speeds or shenanigan thing that i faced using the swapped GTS 13 .

I almost near to take CRB .......

Other than the Viper race, I really enjoyed this week's events. It's not that I hate the Vipers, I just hate the reverse layout of Trial Mountain. The reverse layout never flowed all that well, but the GT7 layout is even worse.

  • Japanese FF: Integra Type R, stock, I love this event CRB won and done.
  • Euro Sunday Cup: V8 Vantage S, overkill, but its a car I love, but don't get to drive very often.
  • VGT Trophy: Aston DP100 VGT, bolted RH tires and almost won, finished 2nd and got CRB.
  • Viper One-Make: Viper GTS-R clone, put RM tires on and had to fight hard for the win.
  • WTC900: tried in my trusty CLK-LM but couldn't get close to winning. Then pulled my Sard RCF GT500 and won easily, minus a few mistakes. I did attempt it in the SC430 GT500 but ended up 4th or 5th.

P3 at the Viper race today. I had to:

  • Use the GT3 Viper (I did 0 tunning, probably RS tyres instead of the stock RH make enough extra grip to avoid next point)
  • Put ASM on and TCS at 2 (I always play with all aids off/ABS default)
  • Lower the difficulty from hard to normal.
  • Forget about a clean race.

I had a contact with another Viper on lap 4 which made me lose about 5 seconds. I would have probably won otherwise since I finished at 2.8 seconds from the leader. The AI was really poor as usual.

Pretty sure you'll win with ease if you retry with the same car and settings. I'd say that CRB is not hard if you are patient, there are spots where you can pass easily and other where you need to be patient.

Not tried in Hard difficulty.

The track also absolutely does not work in reverse imo.
