Hum I guess there is time zone on weekly cause I got mine Friday midnight, which is like around 10 hours from now
Yes, there is. It updates at midnight in the time zone your console is set to.

Do NOT be tempted to change your time zone to access them early, unless you keep your console in that time zone permanently, as this prevents you from receiving the bonus rewards.

Yeah no lmao I'm not that kind of person lol I don't mind he time zone thing I was just wondering now it's clear thanks

I might have a spare PS4 permanently set to the Tuvalu time zone so that I can do the screengrabs for this thread and the articles, because I am that kind of person :D
Well shoot, you might've just given me an idea...

Isn't it an exquisite line-up for tomorrow's races ?

Really looking forward to it ...

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges: Everybody was Kangoo Fighting

The final set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges for March 2025 is starting to become available, with the events ticking over once midnight arrives on Friday morning in your time zone, and bringing an opportunity to sample some of the content added in the 1.57 update...

Pretty good week, even if some are pretty easy. Jimny cup I used a tuned car to get it over with quicker, even if the AI isn't fast around there anyway. Kangoo race was a blast mostly because I fully tuned the car and used that race to test it out, really fun to drive with plenty of rotation if you want it so it should be a good 600ish PP car to use in future. Feel like it could take some more power so hopefully we get an engine swap soon, the FWD Gr.4 Mégane engine would be perfect. Maggiore is pretty easy so there's a ton of cars you can use, '07 M3 was a bunch of fun. WTC 600 is tricky depending how the field is ordered, the Huracán is obscenely fast in a straight line and the RE Amemiya RX-7 can easily get 10+ seconds up the road if it starts up front. Ran the Amuse 380RS on SM and it was a pretty fun race in the end despite me still hating the track. Final race at Sainte-Croix can also be tricky but the Audi VGT Gr.1 was fantastic to drive and I ended up winning pretty easily even with some mistakes. Ran RM/RM and map 1, with some tweaks I could drop a second or two off that laptime for sure. Never was a fan of that car but the last physics update fixed it it seems, would prefer that track in the reverse direction but still good.

This weeks cars:

I would love to see weekly challenges involving Sophy at this point, it seems perfectly possible, and would maaaasively improve the fun factor of these challenges for me.
Slight issue is people like me on PS4 can't do that, so they'd either have to have no rewards or add extra normal events on PS4 I guess.

There is no Sophy on PS4. So you'd need different weekly challenges for PS4 and PS5. They will not do that ;)

1. I used the Jimny XC for the first event, it was fairly difficult, but some "creative" driving helped much.
2. For the Twingo, I chose to use a sort of OEM inspired build (I normally keep a car stock and a car modified). Meet the Turbo Twingo. I've boosted it (no pun intended) to 170 HP, put some sport tyres on and all the sport parts to create this. It does understeer a bit, and can only go 109 MPH, but it was right at home Tsukuba Circuit with it's wide turns.
3. For Euro FR Challenge 550, I chose to use the new Aston Martin. It's drifty in the right way, and quite fun, but also a bit of a handfull.
4. For WTC 600, I decided to try out a car I also built this week, the Mazda Demio LM-250. The LM-250 is my version of a LM championship for low end hatchbacks, with a limit of 250 HP and a minimum weight of 850 KG. The LM-250 was surprisingly good, it only really struggled in the long straights, but more than made up for it in the corners.
5. For the final race, I used the 908 HDI FAP. It is a very good car for fuel economy, I pitted lap 6, though I probably could have done this with no pit changes at all. I stuck it on map level 6 and use racing mediums, which is what it came with.

Here is my weekly choices for this weekly post 1.57 (as usual, PSVR2 with hard AI)

  1. Lightly modified Jimny on dirt tyres - tried one of my lesser modified Jimny's for this one, definitely good fun this car is, and on a decent track too! Got first place thankfully pretty easily.
  2. 400pp tuned kangoo on comfort soft tyres (to match the AI) - okay this car is fun as hell, took me a few tries to modify it up to a competitive level that wasn't too overpowering, tried 360pp and 380pp but those weren't good enough, 400pp is the sweet spot for this one! Got the final overtake on the straight before the final corner!
  3. Highly modified Studebarker tourer on sport hards (to match the AI) - this one was originally using sport soft tyres...but it was too good, so I changed those and did it again, much more engaging and close race just to keep control of this ancient car...which is nearly 100 years old! Got first on lap 4.
  4. Highly modified NA tune Mazda cx-30 on sport softs - yeah not using the Aston this week :P thought I'd try to be a bit braver! And whip out the soccer mom SUV for a spirited drive...this thing sucks on the straights but is shockingly good at putting the wpower down on corner exits I am genuinely impressed by this blob of a car but it wasn't easy! Got first before the exit of the final tunnel on the last lap.
  5. Mazda VGT (non Gr1 version) on racing hards - as soon as I saw the track/event combo.....I thought 'screw this' and beat it with this thing instead haha...thankfully was a stress free end to a not so stressful weekly for once! Got first place by lap 6.
Not gonna lie the Mazda has genuinely impressed me this update!

Man, how do you ever get a Gr 1 competition in Weekly Challenges, while also dealing with the new update. For example, I got last week 2 uncompleted, because I couldn't take advantage of my 4WD system, and I got in trouble. But now it seems easy. I could recomand you some of my choices for the 3 big races:
European FR: Possible a Aston Martin or a Jaguar (idk, because I am not experienced with the FR's)
Gr 1 Prototype: Peugeot L750R
WTC 600: Cayman GT4
I hope you like my reccomandations

Jimny Cup: Jimny Sierra JC. Decided to get a second Sierra and worked on it as I did with one of my XCs. Fun drive and easy win.
European FR Challenge 550: BMW 3.0 CSL. Thought I'd go for another car I hadn't taken out in abit. Another easy and fun win.
World Touring Car 600: Lexus LF A. Built this up to something close to the Nurburging car of old and it was another easy win.
Gr.1 Prototype Series: Genesis X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo. Not a choice I recommend if you want easy wins (Understeer central, just felt like challenging myself and I certainly did (Especially testing a one-stopper strategy with it)
Renault Kangoo One-Make: Bought a second (from the Used cars this time) and modded it up abit. Another easy win despite being on my less then favorite track.
