@ROCKET JOE The Ferrari tractor would have a better chance of winning this event than the Ferrari VGT
And a V12 engine swap would make it the meta car. It would also still handle better than the swapped Abarth 595.
Additional Findings on the Ferrari Special Event
- Your race is determined by the F8 Tributos getting into the top 3 before lap 4 – the F8s finish on average
25 seconds faster if they are not held up by the slower opponents
- that one race prepped F40’s fastest lap so far has been
1:39.0xx No win for that driver though. 3rd place behind one of the F8 Tributos.
- Take zero shame in lowering the difficulty and/or finding the most overpowered, game-breaking tune you can.
PD says this is a knife fight? You bring this:

- Probably only 1 Ferrari cannot win this race on hard difficulty – Ferrari VGT – the downforce levels cannot be adjusted to game the PP system, and you must use Comfort Tires to lower it to 700pp. Which makes for a horrible driving experience. I tried 1 lap... NOPE.
- You can fit a Nitrous System AND if does NOT affect PP rating!!! Good to use this to help the hybrids when their batteries drain

Thoughts on the Cars Tested
500 Mondial – Before the physics changes several updates ago (bouncing cars into space), this used to have great handling. Now it’s terrible. Never go over bumps and rumbles. You will bounce forever and forever. No, this is
not realistic.
Super light, but also super underpowered. No aero to slow you down on the straightaways, but also no aero to help you in high speed corners.

250 GTO – OK handling. Underpowered. Slides a bit. Front end is vague in high speed corners. Only rear downforce. It used to rub its wheel arches terribly with wide wheels. Worth a revisit to see if that’s changed.
20 million credit paper weight.

250 GT Berlinetta – MUCH More potential at 700pp than the 20 million credit paper weight. Much faster lap times too. Surprising top speed. Front end a bit too light and vague at 49/51 weight distribution. Traction in low speed corners average. Braking distances not great. Still fast anyway.

288 GTO – Somehow more wild than the F40. Traction problems under heavy acceleration. Aggressive front end / turn in. Oddly inconsistent. Feels faster than it actually is. Maybe need to be less of a gorilla with my driving inputs.
Angry Ferrari

308 – Ultra light, good acceleration. The car maxes out around 700pp, so you can fit all the best parts. OK top speed. Good braking distances. Great traction out of low speed corners, but VERY rear biased with its grip. Understeers under heavy acceleration. The super light weight skews the rating for this car. It should be 780
Angry Ferrari V8 ROAR!! The car of Push, Push, PUSH!!!

365 GTB4 – I have no idea why this as fast it is. Has mild traction problems accelerating out of low speed corners. A bit of understeer on initial turn in. But has great grip, great overall acceleration and very good top speed. Brutally Competent.

Testarossa – Fastest car for me... somehow
Heavy, but it brings a lot of power. It out-accelerates everyone up to 180mph / 300kph. Handling is rear biased like the 308. Great grip, but lacking front end bite. No front downforce either, so you must fight understeer in high speed corners and under heavy acceleration.
This car is trying VERY hard to beat the Countach in my heart for the 80s supercar. The Countach still wins, but 👀
Amazing engine.

The The Ferrari (LaFerrari) – Absolutely amazing handling. Neutral. Has zero problems putting the power down in low speed corners. Be the Throttle Gorilla, it doesn't care. Composed at high speeds,
HOWEVER the fun is all over when the hybrid battery drains. My car became 1-2 seconds slower per lap with no hybrid. Also, downforce is GR.3 car territory and can’t be lowered much. So it’s extra punished by the PP system.
It should have higher high speed grip levels for how much downforce it has. Great car, but the PP system makes it a mess to tune and race. And the invitation system locks it away from most players anyway. I fitted a nitrous system to make the car feel less lethargic at the final half of the race.
Wasted potential.

Honorable Mentions and Notes
- The 512 BB is awesome, quirky, feels almost like an old Porsche 911. And it puts down fast lap times.
Viva la Curvy(!?) Wedge and Rear Weight Bias!

- The FXX-K can probably win too, but making The
The Ferrari (LaFerrari
) competitive at 700pp made me so sad, that I stopped my session. Can someone else test this car?
- Fiiiine... the 458 is also great. I just try to not look at the front end too much

- Despite the speed crown going to the Testarossa, the answer to a Ferrari Challenge will always be
F40
