Formula cars are small. The thing is that prototypes are stupidly small, I mean to the "the cockpit bubble isn't all that much bigger than the driver's helmet" extent. Watch any real race with them and GT3 cars side by side, you know a Ferrari or Porsche is little more than waist high but they look massive next to the prototypes.

That's a very good point. Didn't think of it that way.

I managed to do it before seeing your response. I thought the fuel would last so I went all out from the start, using the overtake on the straights and that was a mistake 😂. At the end of laps 8 I had 0.9 left in the tank, so I had to go FM6 and short shift to prevent having to pit. Finished the race with 0.1 left in the tank and 11 seconds to P2. Definitely a fun experiment.

Yeah, short shifting from lap 1 is a must. You don't even have to use the fuel map, just remember doing that and keep off the Overtake button. The Super Formula makes up so much time through the middle sector with its downforce. Remember that this is the same car that you easily take the Chicane of Death at Dragon Trail flat out.

Also, mediums will work just fine.

I'm late to the party this week, reason being things went a bit different :) and took some extra time.

Races 1 - 4 were quite standard.
Gallo and Beauvois did what they always do but it didn't bother me as I had picked ( partly more than ) competitive cars and everything was done in one sweep : 4 victories including 4 bonuses.
Used my 475 PP engine-swapped Skyline '70 at Tsukuba, a 370 PP Jimny that destroyed the competition and last week's Mangusta twice at Suzuka and Spa. Everything had been business as usual so far. Positive : I found some extra fun at Spa and repeated that race a couple times for my daily marathons.

Then things changed with the GV event. Don't get me wrong, I had won that race too at my first attempt using my trusty 980 hp LM55 VGT Gr.1 on RM tires. An easy win, even Wong who didn't pit could not touch me. Then I read @Fuzzi0n 's post running the race without the big turbo and decided to try that : What I found was ... that I was too slow ! Couldn't win, couldn't reach the posted lap times - nearly 2 seconds missing on average and that triggered my ambition.
Established my personal practice camp then  running the track sector by sector, comparing sector times, trying different lines, different brake- and turn in-points, different gearing etc etc ... something I hadn't done in a long long time. And it finally paid, not just for the tons of fun I had. I still can't be consistently quick but I'm really ok with what I've achieved.

It's being a tough week for me for the challenges, I lost the weekend due to being sick and lost Monday and partly yesterday evening due to some (finally) online boosting on NFSHP Remastered, achieved the 100% after four years! I also decided to keep the difficulty set on hard, because why not!

All I managed to complete yesterday is this one, the Japanese FR 450. The GT86 I used is meant to be a replica of my real life car in every possible way, so that I can train before going to the Nurburgring. Therefore it is slightly modded at 500pp, and made quick work of the opponents (despite the 2021 BRZ divebombing into me on lap 2 as if it was an online lobby).

Then I moved to the Euro Clubman Cup 600 in the M2 Competition and what the hell is that, I was completely non competitive, had to upgrade the car beyond the 600pp soft cap and even put RH tires on her, still can't manage to catch up that bloody Mercedes AMG. And also, Gallo shenanigans with the 10000000hp Alfa. Is it me? Or is this broken? I'm tempted to either go back to Normal difficulty or to just turn the M2 into a N24 variant up to 700pp and overpowering my enemies.

Yep, had a similar impression. It's not broken though. Beauvois in the AMG is consistently quick and I really had to push push push. My Mangusta ( not the best handling car of course ) sat at 615 PP.

Thanks for sharing, I guess I'll have to necessarily put a wing to the M2 though. Can't push it as much as I'd love to even in RH tires, I guess a wing would make it work with SS tires too. I'll try this again later this evening!

In before the lock! Managed to bring the set home, at the very last chance!

This one, I hated it. I suck at Suzuka and the hard Beauvois AI is FAST. Eventually had to bring the M2 up to 650pp, which turned out to be too much as I then won by 10 seconds. Go figure. Would've accepted a P3 but it was the first time doing this event.

After my own car, another tiny bit of Italy in this week with the Jimny Z.Mode, which is a special off-road tuned version of the Jimny. I made the livery, and based it on the lower tier LEV1 version, which has no power mods and only suspension stuff and a revised propeller shaft, which is exactly what I did here. Put the beloved shaft, sport suspension with adjustable ride height, and went on to win the special event. It was also fun!

No win in this race at Spa, the beautiful Corvette C3 repainted in factory Monza Red and on SS tires was too slow on the straights to catch up with the two leading Countaches. And I also spun once at Raidillon. P3 and I'm happy, and I do love this car in stock form!

As for the elephant in the room, I had to tone down the difficulty back to Normal to even stand a chance. FM3 and RM tires for a non stop strategy, which would've probably worked also on RS tires given how gentle this car is on them. No death star turbo option for this one which means it's slow, but handles like a dream on high speed corners. Snatched a P2 since Wong didn't pit, it's fine.

I normally prefer using similar cars to the AI, but this was a great opportunity to use the newly added F1 car. Unfortunately, a couple of spin outs prevented me from getting first, but it could have easily won otherwise.

How did the GV race go?
It went smoothly. It took me a total of about 21 minutes but I still came in first place. The Gr. 1 monsters always survives in GV. And I got a CRB too, I took each lap very slow and steady, like a turtle. You can gain a lot of extra money using this strategy. I also grinded the snow event and got 6 CRB's in a row. Only one more day of the fun here in these 5 challenges. Spa is okay, but the bollards are annoying. Anyone wouldn't want to dance where those things are. If they were hard, they'd flip the car upside down.

Several existing F1/GP circuits for the F1 car and they use High Speed Ring instead.

(I know there's the Monza TT, but still, come on PD).
SuperGT did a race there on stream earlier with it and it looks like a fun race with the F3500. Close racing and who doesn't like bump drafting open wheel cars at 210 mph. I understand your sentiment though.
