Seems impossible for me to win at GV with the suggested 550 pp and also take the CRB 😬.
Mostly am second and i only managed to win it once by blocking the second at the straight.
Although didn't get CRB while i get it at second place finished.
I want to try different cars but at 550pp running clean and win it's quite hard so i decided to say.

Allow me to give you a cheat code for this race:

And this was more cruising than racing. I just don't like this track😄

Just wanted to try different cars much or less at the same level and enjoy it but it's difficult to be clean there with half of the AI have more speed than you on straights.
GV was one of my favourite tracks at the past and i try hard to forget the past design of it 🥴
Anyway i don't like either what looks right now but i try to copie what i did at Trial mountain using various cars at a certain level of pp and it just doesn't work for me and my average skills.
Usually i prefer cars that have the complete ( short of) packet and lately am trying to be and clean also at least where i can and want.
At deep forest the addition of SS tyres was enough to get the win and CRB with Aston but here things are very tight and i don't wanna put my self in that stress cause it stops to be fun and interesting anymore chasing the CRB .
At Atlanta on previous weeklies at 600pp i enjoy it , at past GV i also enjoy it but this is out of my league.
Of course winning or taking the CRB isn't an issue since is no limits race , i just fail to do it the way i thought could be done .

My best feeling car there was a civic touring car on SS tyres but bring it at 550pp wasn't enough to keep my self in front at last straight .
Anyway , looking forward for next week 🤩 .

Weekly Challenges are done ✔️

Race 1 - Toyota HiAce. Only upgrade was a low rpm turbo. Barely caught the 205 at the end after the Kangoo held us all up.

Race 2 - Mazda CX30. Not gonna lie; I like this car! It's like an oversized Civic. Tuned to 550PP on SH tires, I caught the RX7 just before the tunnel and drove away.

Race 3 - Aston Vantage. Only upgrades were aero, suspension, differential, and carbon brakes. Quite a fun car! Looks gorgeous too. Got the lead on lap 3 and that's all she wrote.

Race 4 - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR. I created a lore-friendly version of the MINE'S Evolution VI, being tuned by the fictional company "Webster". With 400HP and SS tires, I hoon'd it hard to grab 3rd. Good enough to complete the challenge criteria.

Race 5 - AMG GT3 '20. Utilizing short-shifting and RM tires, I managed a one-stopper at the end of lap 5, and won by 12 seconds over the dated 2016 version of the same car.

Last night I began thinking about that CRB hunt some of us do... why do we do it? I'm sure everyone has different reasons, some want the extra money, some want to see if it can be done, some probably something else. Personally I don't consider a race won unless I've done it cleanly (except some cases such as the X2019 Nations Cup where the AI has a bounty on your head) because otherwise there simply wouldn't be just about any challenge at all.

I guess you're right but Clean , takes enough water in the wine barrel.
In some cases you just loose the CRB cause you had miss by little the brakes ( for example) and just pass the famous " Track limits " , you didn't cut , you didn't gain any advantage, you hit nobody but that small mistake can cause the loss of CRB and we all see it happens.

You get bumped from the AI and is enough also.

Also depends on what track it is and perhaps cars you use ( that's my thought as i see different outcome on CRB ) against the AI.

Anyway, i belong to the category:
If can be done ( on weeklies ) but i don't bother further if can't be done for any the reason it is.
Also my approach at weeklies is on the griding side of view and if i like some race i might deal further.

TT's definitely put players under the same limits where white laps are the first aspect, but in races the Clean thing is a bit confused situation.
I took CRB's when i shouldn't and lost them without knowing where and why exactly.
And finally, everyone has the right to do it as he pleases him and doesn't matter if i agree or not.

I don't always get the CRB because I like to choose cars that require a lot of effort to win. Usually if the race suggests 550pp, I'm looking for cars around 475pp to take in the race. This at least makes the final lap or two of the race exciting. I find if I take a car at the suggested PP level that I get into first place in about 2 laps and the final 3 laps is just me going around by myself. This has been my gripe about GT7 since the beginning, but 90% of the races are designed to have you be in an OP car and fly around rolling roadblocks. I would rather be in a car that is much more similarly matched to the AI and duke it out until the end of the race. Usually that requires a little rubbing at times and that, unfortunately, removes your CRB in 90% of the races.

I think "hunt" is a very strong word but ... well, as far as I'm concerned I simply can't be proud of and enjoy a dirty win. Barging one's way through a field for victory is dilettantism if you ask me, no matter how slow, bad, unaware and whatever else the AI is. And believe me, I feel the same annoyance here that you all feel. The fact that it's AI is no reason though to not show the same respect on track that would would show real people ( hopefully ).

For me it's the both the challenge to myself AND to maximize winnings, Especially if it's the Weekly Challenges, where I am always working out the maximum amount of completing challenges AND the combined amount of those credit tickets with my otherwise dusty math.
