VBR
Hi guys! Have seen your event before, but got a personal invite from Cote so decided to find out some more info.

What time do you race on Monday nights in BST?

Thanks.

Hi VBR the race starts at 8h00 pm EDT so middle of the night for UK.

I typically have had cars that are better in the turns and not as strong on the straights. I have had plenty of success in this group with that mix. If you can get out front and run consistent lap times near the bottom of the target, it doesn't matter where you are is faster. I have had a lot of fun making passes in the turns rather than on the straight. Not as easy of course, but can be very rewarding. My biggest reason for picking the truck this week was I wanted the challenge of NEEDING to be consistent. If I am a little off the racing line (which happens a lot in traffic and in making pass attempts), I drop quite a bit on my lap time. The truck just isn't that forgiving for running other lines as most of the cars that I have run. Need to becareful with the pedal on the right with 600hp too.

Totally agree with you Track, we have had a ball going 2 wide and even 3 wide in some curves on some track, East Valley has many curves than you have to be in the right line to take the turn, so not so easy as on some other track to pass. even with a better handling car.
Looking forward to draft your big and wide truck Monday night. LOL

What time do you race on Monday nights in BST? I saw the deadline for laptime submissions in the OP, but not the race start times.

Also, are you doing another race on Grand Valley east on Sports Mediums?

Thanks.

As Cote mentioned we race quite late for us UK racers (01:00 BST), but if enough people (5+) would like an extra race at an earlier Euro friendly time, I will happily set it up.

Thanks guys, but this is way too late for me. All the best...

I am just not happy with the 2.08 update and the clutch. I have my okay nights and my terrible nights now with the clutch. I am going back to the paddles for now. I ran with Miata tonight in a 13 lap race. I had 2 laps that were a few tenths below the 12.5 mark. The rest weren't that close, but I am gonna try and do some practice tomorrow before race time...might need to drop the PP down a couple.

I have note noticed that much of a difference in the clutch and if any, I like it better, it feels more real to me, but on the other hand I do not heel toe like you do so that might be why.
Also it might be specific to G27 clutch/accelerator relationship

Any one for practice this after noon around 5h00 PM EDT?

If anyone has the results from last night, if they could send them to me I will post them up.

Also I ordered a new headset last night (http://www.trittonaudio.com/prod/proplus.asp) and hopefully I will have it for next weeks race. I'm hoping it gets here in time.

I have recorded the races last night, but will not have access to my PS3 before late evening Thursday.

Good looking headset

This is just a tentative time/PP, I'm posting it now because I don't know how much time I'll have to spend on this throughout the week, so I at least want to get a time down.

Nice to have another driver...welcome. Not sure how you and Mike are that low in the PP unless the car makes that much of a difference. I will be running the Alto Suzuki at 332pp and the Mira TR-XX somewhere around the 330pp.

Round 12 - week 1
TrackBound7 / TrackBound7 / Alto Works Suzuki Sport Limited '97 / 332pp / 50.654

This should be an interesting round. It is amazing how one little adjustment in line or throttle pickup can change lap times drastically in these lower hp cars. Consistency and being out front early will be an extra big key at the Mini Ring.

I probably abused the power limiter too much. My car caps at 75hp around 3000rpm, so I've got consistent power throughout the range. That's just my guess though.

Welcome Ferraridude308, great to see a new driver.

Mine is electric so I get consistent torque and power too.

The car does make a whole lot of difference. I used the Alto Works Suzuki at Tsukuba and was running one of the highest pp of that round, considerably higher than the lowest pp runners. Good choice though with the Suzuki, the Alto Works is a really nippy car to drive. 👍

Round #12, Week #1

Naptown25rs / NCemtB / Nissan Leaf G '11 / 304pp / 50.605 / EDT

Round #12, Week #1

Cockpit, ABS0, 4/1, no tune.

I have some good news which leads to the bad news.

Today I got myself a job with regular hours. This is great, but it does mean I will no longer be able to race with you guys on Mondays.

I will still post targets and probably set a time for most weeks. Within the next couple of weeks I will start a set of races on an earlier schedule. Hopefully this means I will still be able to enjoy the sort of racing I have come to love, unfortunately it won't be with you guys.

As long as someone messages me a full list of results each week, I will continue to post them here.

Hi Guy's, about last monday race results, I have race 2 and 3, but for some mysterious reason, I do not have race 1.
this is what I know:
Race 1
1 Johnny
2 Cote
3
4
5
6

please let us know where you finished on race 1 . ;)

Congratulation on the new job 👍, thank you for your dedication to this league, I might be available for the earleir schedule.

Great news Mike...sort of. What about moving our race night to Saturday, same time or maybe an hour earlier?

Looks like Miata has this covered 👍

Great news for you Mike!!!! Congratulations on the new position 👍👍 I will miss competing with you!!

However, this creates a bit of a dilemma for the rest of us. I for one would like to keep this going, on Monday nights as we do now if everyone is in agreement, but I don't think it's fair to rely on Mike to continuously update results and set targets and stuff. I know you want to help us out Mike, but you're only human and you have other stuff to do and if you're not around, we will lose control of the OP and won't be able to do our own updates and such.

So perhaps the best thing is to set up a new thread with a new OP by one of the rest of us and continue on, possibly with Parity Racing 2, with your permission of course Mike. Is anyone willing to step up to set up a new thread and continue to post target times, update results etc., with a link back to this thread to maintain the continuity? I am willing if no one else is, but as you are aware, my participation isn't guaranteed every week and if luck is against me, I can go more than one week without being at a race as has happened in the past.

How about we open up a discussion here as to where we want to go with this so we can get it sorted out as soon as possible? I would think that the main options are:

1. Have Mike to continue to post targets and update results.

2. Set up a similar new thread with a new series director, maintaining the same high standards of course that Mike has already set for Parity Racing freeing Mike from the obligation of doing all the work here without having the benefit of participating.

I see what you mean Johnny, but hopefully I will still be able to race within this series. Just it would be at an earlier TBD time, probably with a new group of drivers.

So as long as I find enough interest I would still be racing, just unfortunately, not with you guys. Plus it really doesn't take up that much of my time updating and posting results.

TrackBound, when I do set up an earlier schedule it will also be on a Monday, just for ease of understanding.

I know I won't be consistent enough to run another thread, but I think we can all share the responsibility or coming up with tracks and target times like some have done in the past. I would love to keep it on Monday nights, would just like to see a better night/time that would work for Mike.
