not possible to take it flat out , i usually stay in 4th with a tiny stab on the brake and early turning so as the car looks like your going to hit the wall on the left but when you get it perfect the exit speed is worth the effort ;)

Ah geez, dagnabbit... I went and put in some very stellar lap work today, had it at 667 ponies and everything. Couldn't for the life of me figure out what the heck I was doing wrong sitting @ T's of

26.8xx and 46.8xx....

it just freakin hit me, I should really put some better tires on the car :D

EDIT: after seeing P's response to the "flat out question" I would like to add, that while I was racing on T2's (Super Slicks) I was able to take this "S" nearly falt out, with only a quick release of the gas to induce a very faint drift, but aiming at the inside wall and powering out... I believe 4th was the gear as well.

Can't wait to see what differences happen with real tires on the car :D

Welcome Missing Link :)

 I never put any tyres on, I thought the game automatically puts wet tyres on for SSR5 wet

I've now managed to do it twice so it is possible, how much benefit one would get from it is still unknown but in all honesty, unless I can master it better than I have so far I can't see it being an option because of the risk factor involved when facing a possible hot lap, The "shall I or shall I not" scenario.

Thanks for the tip Mr P ;), I haven't raced since tuesday but hopefully I could get some time in tonite

I gave her another go: 23.440-44.323 Raybrig, re-submitted.

The session has given me pause as to how fast this lap is. I thought my previous was good, but this lap is .44 sec. faster.
I dunno, there have been some faster T's posted. Maybe I should try again....Nah, I'm done, need a good nights' sleep to get the BAL down. Don't want to get on the plane drunk.

Once again, Good Luck, Have Fun!👍

hey is any one using the mugen NSX? if you are what are your tcs and asm settings or anysuggestions for them. becuase i set them too high i lose power when i powerslide the hairpin and too low i oversteer every where? pm them to me or post them please.

MUGEN POWER RULES

ASM=0
TCS=1

use throttle control and too high of gears to stop from spinning in slow corners. It works just as good, but doesn't slow down the rest of the lap ;)

EDIT: @ P and lotus... don't you guys live in the same place... wouldn't it be much easier to exchange information in person?:lol::lol::lol:

Ok, so I took the Arta out for a spin  in the rain tonight. Still got some time to take off but it's been slow going at doing it.

Been dealing with the LSD set up and trying to get it to handle the wet and it has been doing me some justice. Currently I have it set at 30/50/15. I find it benefits me the most in that 180 degree turn and in the last sharp turn before the tunnel.

T1: 23.5
T2: 44.3

T times seem to be a bit behind a few of you guy's out there, but I must admit that I am stompin that tunnel. 👍

Where's the fun in that?

Nah I thought it best that Ron post and correct my error to save anyone else making the same dumb mistake :dunce: Supersofts it is then :P :D

 Got the chance to take the mugen out for a spin after work and came up with two nice clean laps.... one with sectors of 23.587 & 44.317 and my best save with sectors of 23.502 & 44.115. Great car/track combo, I haven't enjoyed GT3 this much in ages :P

As for that right-left chicane before T2...I lift of just lightly to settle to car then drift full throttle as close to the barrier as possible..and I set TCS a bit higher (4) than I normally do for this one...works for me. Cheers ;)

👍 Its good to be back Ron...plus I need the practice in readiness for TORC  The sectors come a little easier when the car/track combination is a favourite ;) Just hope I can find a bit more time out of the 'ol Mugen.. :mischievous:

Had a wee go last night before beed :P new best save has 23.5 / 44.4 this combo has so much more to yeild, i've seen some 23.3 high 44.2's in there , if i can get it down to those again i will be happy..

EDIT

I've just noticed i've been running with my LSD's on 60 all of them   i havn't changed much when i first took the Moog oot the gears seem fine , i will have to have a wee tinker aboot with these :)

I'm having trouble with T1 :irked:

The best I've seen is 23.8, but I'm usually in the mid-to-low 24's, and I'm really inconsistent. I've got the rest of the track well in hand (I'm often getting 45.1 T2's on those mid-24 T1 laps), but I just can't seem to knock anything off T1. If I could drop half a second off of my T1, I'd have a reasonable lap.

Here's how I'm approaching it:

Brake for turn one, and drift through it staying tight to the inside.

Brake hard for turn 2, just touch the inside rumbles and wait for the car to straighten out on the exit before hitting the gas.

Take turn 3 and 4 at full throttle and try to stay as straight as possible.

Can anyone suggest a better approach? Please? :(

heres how i take it

On the main straight i try and brake as late as possible normally when the car reaches around 285k's then i brake hard and start turning in towards the apex normally 4th gear at this point.
As soon as i pass the apex of turn 1 i drift over as close as i can to the wall on the right , so that im set up for turn 2 which i take wide. 3rd gear normally if it's good that is..
Brake as early as possible and start turning in as if you are aiming for the barrier at the apex @ turn 2, ride the rumble with your left tyres ,trying to keep the car as straight as possible going through the schicane , too much steering action will loose you time..

it's quite hard to get right , im just starting to get the hang of it now,

The key Go in wide..:)
Hope this helps you out ;)

I gave this a go earlier in the arta (my thumb is mostly better, though my right wrist is bothering me) and can get 23.8 times, which is okay, but i'm at 45.3 or worse most times for t2. i need t2 advice.

Came in a little late for me to get a good time. Will wait until next week I guess. Just been busy doing to real racing with our car club at VIR. Had lots of fun with my car. This weeks race looks like its gonna be a close one. Good luck everyone 👍 :)...

had another go finaly got the 23.3 and the 44.2 i was looking for ..new best lap :)

But judging from Missing links awsome sectors i could have been on a 44.0 or even a 43.9 ,i just need to find a better line through that sector between T1/T2

Im still happy with my time :D but i know there's more (for me) possibly 3/4 tenths if i can hook it up..

I will keep trying :mischievous:

Stick with it T , i didn't think i would get those sort of sectors .

I wish i could give advice on the middle stint between T1/T2 as my method is obviously not the right one..
I've noticed some peeps are managing to take the double left hander before the hairpin a full speed ,but i just can't seem to hook that up at all.
I need to dab the brakes there and also at the schicane at T2..

Any advice on these two points peeps ..? speeds gearing etc..

I'm more or less with you on this one Pedrodaman, I can't seem to take that area flat out either, who was it who said they are because I certainly would like to know how?

I too have to dab the brakes there but I found that I was braking too close to the first corner and losing .2+ perhaps that’s what your doing also, try braking a little earlier.

As I approach the corner I'm in 5th and change down to 4th as I brake and then travel all the way to the hairpin in that gear, maybe it not the best way but it certainly sets me up nicely for the hairpin to get a T2 44.1.

Getting back to going flat out for the S bend at the T2, it's seems a none starter because I never took into account that Mr P might or should I say would be going faster than me and therefore making it impossible, but just out of interest, what speed do you guys hit when crossing the T2 line? Going flat out round those bends gives me a 182kph.

Frankly, I'm becoming pissed off because it seems like I'm losing time even when I appear faster in entry, cornering and exit, with good acceleration. So, If I take a simple turn at 105, taking it at 108 next time somehow loses me half a second. Somewhere I may be screwing up, but I'm not sure where. My mind tells me that faster speeds and very similar lines should give me better times.

I can't help anyone , I too busy surfin to race :D

I won't get my finished time 'til monday as usual  I do however have a clean save! somehow I managed one after 3 cans last night  it's crap though and I've not checked the sectors on that yet.
