Before limit...? I can't say on that, but I would dodge out on that fiasco all together if I was you ;) jk

However, I have had some fun with this race just for the initial testing of 3 cars.

zonda, tuscan, and vette.

Oddly, none of those cars got any time on my game play session, as I just couldn't resist the chance to run the prize car supra. (In that sweet lime green :D )

So technically, nothing I did today was worth a dime, and I should also mention that the supra had the damnedest time keeping up with the very first clean tuscan time.

Anyway, should I get back to this race, I will let you guys know how it's looking, but at the moment, I'm just diggin the testing of all the different dealer cars.

Viper, nsx, esprit, cobra, svt cobra... there are just too many :D

ick, you like that lime green supra? 👎 hehe. to each his own i guess. i havent had any runs w/ this yet. but being my board race is now over i should have some time to have fun this week. i dont know what im gonna go with, probably just whatever tickles my fancy, i dont care how fast or slow it is, this week i just wanna drive a car that i enjoy driving, i need to unwind from that ungodly tickford falcon ive been driving all week. its not a bad car when its lightly modified, but fully modded....dont even get me started.

this is a bit tricky so far i have tried out these

Scooby 22b (to slow)
evo 7 (to slow)
civic type r miles (to slow)
nsx (to slow)
viper (now this might catch the vette but not my driving)
speed 6 (to slow
supra (to slow
db 7 (great engine noise but not quick enough)
mines skyline road version ( i don`t know if this was ok but slow)
but none can catch the Corvette i am starting to run out of cars i can think of that are going to be fast.

anybody got any more suggestions??????

NSX too slow
what are these corvette times

Im running a NSX

This race is starting to rteally annoy me...
I get the car setup just the way I like it, with WtP of 2.24x, go run about 20-30 laps and finally get a decent time worthy of saving, save it, go back to check my cars power... Grr.... 2.194... Ok. Change exhaust. Change oil. Remove Chip... Back to 2.24x again. Try again. Repeat process.. 2.194 again.. grr... Downsize turbo, add exhaust, change oil, add balancing... 2.24x..

Finnaly got the car to a stage where it appears to be holding its power... My times are as follows...

T1 - 0'21.032
T2 - 0'47.892
T3 - 1'00.592

Something give me the feeling I must be racing the same car as noorja. My holding WtP is now 2.235 (in the garage car specs). Car power according to the saved lap is... 559, which is about 10% lower than the garage power, so if I was to use that, then the wtp would obviously be higher... Oh well... Pain in the arse game... Maybe I'll try a few more cars tomorrow night. It's taken me 360 odd km to get this car to hold it's damn power.... grr..

I was bummin on this one, until I saw akindness's post. I was trying cars like the Esprit and the RGT and coming up with 1'05's. 👎 After seeing the posted times,

But now I have some choices. I did see the Mustang, but at 700+ hp, I guessed it'd be tough to keep in check in the corners.

Off to do some testing. ;)

Results for Race 31 show Noojra in the Amateur division. :)

Yeah I've missed the last 2 races. but I'm in amateur although I did start out in the beginner class

As for if I'm using a race car, I dont think it's a Race car but I'll double check with Boom just to make sure, dont want to fine tune this can car only to find out it's disqualified

BTW new T's

best T1 - 21.185 but i messed up :irked:
best T2 - 47.824 that was from a T1 of 21.445 but i messed up again.

The only reason I think I'm beating my ghost is because my BHP went up by 7. that means my P/W is going down I just hope it doesn't go below the limit.

BTW its was about 2.279 when I got my best lap.

My times are on the fall, and I am using a car that is technically legal, but is only comparable to one other in these classifications (and with the setup I stumbled upon, it's actually soaring). More times later...

New T's
But I ran wide on the last lefthander so its not clean

21.053
47.631
1,00.540

EDIT:

just got a

T1 20.909
then I messed up the chicane but still managed a
T2 47.392
and then I $%@#! up the last section.

Is there some way i can disable those the split times, as soon as I see a good T1 I get nervous.

Tried a new car last thing before heading to bed. Thought that it probably would be too slow and understeery to compete with the times, but was surprised to see my initial few laps were within 1sec of my best. As the ptw came down slowly, I also found some better lines, and finnalyl after 30 laps in the new car came up trumps with a new fastest. I will need to check with boom if my new car is legal though...

T1 - 0'21.144
T2 - 0'47.475
T3 - 1'00.562

This gave me an overall improvment at the finish time of 0.2sec.

I ran the Ruf R-GT.
Semi-Race Muffler
NA1
Port and Polish
Balance
Racing Chip
Oil Change
Lightweight3=1130Kg
Starting HP is 509 and hits the 514HP ceiling @ 55miles.
20.750
47.244
1'00.037 submitted.
511HP@29miles

I saw a lap with:
20.627
46.981
59.799

So, I suppose, I'm .2 short of my target.

FWIW:
Raised the SR to 9.9/12.0
Lowered the RH to 70/70
Stiffened the dampers to 9/9 bound and rebound
Toed the front in 1.0
Auto 28
DF .44

I don't know if they are good or not. I just drove it around and looked at the times.

Good luck and have funnn.

Yes, you can keep your times acheived before you exceeded the limit.

To whoever mentioned rally cars, I'd consider a pro rally car a race car so that would make them inelligable.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU SEND IN WHAT DIVISION YOU ARE RACING IN ALONG WHITH YOUR FINAL TIME.

I'M IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING SO I DON'T HAVE INTERNET ACCESS ON MY PERSONAL COMPUTER I'M HAVING TO RUN EVERYTHING FROM WORK.

THANKS! :)

Just in case if any one was trying to PM me I recently changed my email address and forgot to update my GTplanet account, but I just did.

Any how my P/W is has shriked to 2.237 at about 125miles. I sure hope it doesn't go any further. and despite my HP gain I cant seem to beat my previous T2 of 47.3xx I think I will call it a night.

Later Guys and Gals

LOL

ODP showin all of us up in a matter of one try. I'm lovin it. (no wait, Im hatin it. :irked: )

But yeah, thats also because odp is one of the select few that can take advatage of the bad ass rgt.

However, if anyone is running the tuscan, I suggest you try some 2.0/1.9 camber. It works wonders ;)

Back later if I do any runs... odp has got me craving a run with the rgt.

im still testin some cars out. dont expect anything great from me this week, like i said, im just gonna find a car i like and go w/ it...wont be the slowest car but it certainly isnt gonna be the fastest. even tho all cars are limited to 2.2 p/w ratio, that still does NOT make every car equal ;)

hmm i just set a new personal record. dropped .001 off my overall time. still way too slow to even post it here though:(

Mazda, Noojra...

Why don't you guys do everyone a favor and come out with those car names :D

Ok, ok, I've gotcha... this is a race/competition and not a learning experience to increase our abilities... blah blah blah.

Well, whada ya say?

Well, my previous best was set with the RGT.

And I just decided to give the XJ220 a spin, which is what I set the new fastest in.

But I've found that while these cars are both fastish, they are not the easiest things to drive fast. The XJ220 I thought was actually slower to drive at first, until I finally found a few lines that were a little bit wierd to what I would normally take, and managed to pass the RGT lap time (but only just).

There.. I said it...

Would've said it at the end, but now I will have more people trying out the cars, and posting times faster, making me push harder, and get even more frustrated.... Happy now... :D

When I get home from work though, I'll try a few more setting tweaks, and maybe drop the power, and the weight a little, cause I have a new target to beat (sub 1'00 laps) which I was sure was possible last night, but hadn't actually seen just yet.

I had a go in the CTR a few days ago and couldn't come up with anything near 'the goods'... so I changed over to the zonda two nights ago, and apart from thoroughly enjoying the drive (TCS=2, ASM=1)... and some tuning from GTvault (thanks go to AlphaOmegaSid)... I've got an OK time, I can't post any times here though as I can only remember my lap time, not the T1,T2's etc... maybe I'll give the XJ220 a go tonight...

On the subject of tuning... I realise that it is a bit of a cheat to use the GTvault tunings:embarrassed: ... however one of my personal aims in the weekly is to learn tuning... but with the wide range of cars this week, now is not the time, I think...:)

Hey, using gtvault settings certainly isnt cheating, i used to do the same thing, still do from time to time. hell, most of the time in this series someone posts up their settings and everyone else uses em :) I still dont know as much about tuning as id like to, but i certainly know a hell of a lot more than when i first started this series

If you really gotta know it's the XJ220, It was and always will be the XJ220 Road Car.

The XJ220 Race Car is my most farvorite car in GT3, my bro is always trying to beat me at deep forest with his fully tuned GT-one. *he rarely does*:D
I'm just glad I was able to buy the Road edition at the dealer.

BTW I got some new best T's but not in the same lap

T1 20.7xx
T3 1,00.405

I might not race again till monday so I hope I can pull off something good

EDIT :

Pssst... Hey mazda, that ODP feels his RGT is so hot  lets beat his time and show him up :mischievous:

Nice noojra :D

I gave that sucker a test, but nothing indepth. I think it gave me a 1.01.??? and alot of trouble staying put on the tarmac.

Eventually I just gave up on it as I figured it was too heavy, but hey, I guess you proved that wrong for me, so thanks :D

Anyway, keep it up, I also love the xj220 (not in the game, but in real life) and I would love to see it pull a time worthy of the speed the car can really acheive.

Good job.

I am rather frustrated ast the moment, although I did just shatter my old best time by .6 seconds. The reason I'm upset? I got a T3 time a couple laps ago that was a second behind Noojra's best (at the moment). If I hadn't messsed up on the last turn I would have had a lap about half-a-second lower than the one I have now...

T1: 0'21.647
T2: 0'48.858
T3: 1'02.148

Edit: nevermind that, I just got another 1'01 timing and didn't mess it up this time (in my fastest session ever!)...

T1: 0'21.779
T2: 0'48.490
T3: 1'01.863

I NEVER said that the R-GT was "hot". :odd:
I just gave all of the pertinent info to help those who may have had trouble finding the "sweet spot" with this particular car.
I went and re-read my post and I still see no attitude.
I was only trying to help and I'm sorry you took it the way you have.
I was under the impression, that this comp. was to help each other go faster and to have fun. Not to "show up" the other guy.
I'm flying to the east coast on Sat.
So, tonight I'll spend some time working on the Jag. :mischievous:

Anyway, good luck and have fun.

:) :) :) :)

Oliver Please !....

Speaking for those who made the comments I'm fairly sure that all they were doing were yanking your chain !....

And btw. I'm on the RGT as well and I really like your settings !

Cheers

Edit: Btw. The RGT IS hot. Indeed ! :D
