I got conservative (again) in the last section and left .2sec.
If you use these settings make sure you're in 2nd gear @ the hairpin and apply the throttle like you would a condom.
I'll give it another go, but if I don't improve, I see you all next week.

OK, quick update from the Ladies Room. I'm running some wild oddball settings but the car seems to react really nicely. Found these setting in an ancient thread here at GTP. I'll post them up later tonight. 👍
As for times, I've snuggled up with a 23.2 and a 42.1.
I'm happy with them, but know there is more time. I saw a 41.8, but stuffed the last corner.

I think its a modified version of boom's setup
I got a 21.6xx in a ten min session and hav,nt gotten time to race since but I tried over and over with the s2000 and got diddly squat

not as fast as before but this run turned out to be my best

for me, this setup is like one of those "right at the edge" setup.
if I messed up a run (even just a little bit), i'll ruin the final time.
but if the run flows perfectly, the final time will drop quite a lot.
I thought this setting might be insteresting for you guys who are racing S2000s, so..

As with every other week, I think some of the old timers already know what I'm gonna say.
Times like that you have got to prove. flat out

Shoot, now that I think of it... people pulling 41.0 or under should be proving it. But whatever... Im gonna post more than one replay in all probability. I had so much fun with my trd celica that I might post that along with my s2000 lap. (s2000 is only mediocre.)

Well atleast you came out and acknowledged the error... for a sec there I thought we had another bull****er. 
As for me... started pulling down 40.9's with the s2000, so by the end of monday I should have a lil something that is atleast acceptable.
Although I should admit that my laps are getting all sorts of results ranging from best laps in the 41.1/2 range, to wasted 22.3/40.9's. I also figure that with a 22.3 I should be able to theoretically put in a 40.7 or less.
I doubt it will happen but we will just have to wait and see what the replay I post has on it.

i never thought 40.9 is possible with the S2000 but it is ... oh well.. im gonna try and run a couple more laps and see if i can get into the 40s

Further update from the ladies corner. My s2000 seems to handle quite nicely. Smooth steering control is where it's at

Yeah, sorry if I insulted you, just trying to get the whole story... indeed everyone is here to race it clean. You gotta realize though, in 36 weeks of the weekly I've seen plenty of people who were worthy of suspicions and plenty who just made a typo... it's cool, no worries. You don't get labeled a bull$hitter until you actually do something unacceptable, not just mis-type your time.

Keep it up, those are fast times your putting down and the setup your on looks to be pretty well balanced. Good job
Btw, I just ran the dirtiest clean lap possible and put down a 41.0 that ended approximately .3 ahead of my closest fast lap.
Still wanna see that 40.8 though, I know it's within reach since this is a hotlap and my 41.0's are all on 22.5's. So like I said earlier, we'll just have to wait and see what happens

Well.. Looks like my times wont cut it this week...
I will cop out, and put it down to not spending enough time on it this week. Couldn't possibly be cause I suck....
Don't have a large amount of time, and my normal weekend racing was taken up with CM Rally4, which I had hired from the video store to evaluate, and didn't want to waste my money, so spent too much time on that, and the fact that 19 hours on Sat were taken up out at a rally... Maybe I'll get a spare 30 min tonight (actually no, cause I have rally official training tonight and tomorrow night, so wont be home till 9-10pm.... damn)... So, looks like my prev best of 41.1xx will have to do... Maybe I'll submit the slower cars lap time just for the hell of it to compare how it goes against other non S2000 racers... Later.. D

Just got done racing some of the simulation races. I've never beat any of the previous Gran Turismos (mainly due to lack of interest, I've only really been interested in cars for about a year now), and I WILL have this one done before Gran Turismo 4 comes out. Plus, my weak sauced cash supply needed some boosting. Up over a million (finally), sold a few cars and now I'm on my way to the track to test out my brand new black Honda S2000.
*grunt* Me no like standard S2000.

Time to get things rolling here. S2000 is what I'm given, S2000 is what I'll win with (statement of faith; I *hopefully* will win!). First postable set of times coming out any minute now, hopefully my controller will stop acting up and I won't have to switch over to the DS1 *shudders*.

Increased Braking almost to max
Transmission at 6th gear rev-limiter right at the apex of the first hill after a strong start.
TCS at something like 4 or 5.
ASM at 0
Reduced spring constant (something like -1.0 from normal on both front and back)
Increased stabalizers by 1
Toe out at .5 front and back
Camber at 3 on front and 2.5 on back
Ride Height and shocks at default
I'm definitely no pro at tuning. Some of what I did is probably contradictory, but I got the car to stick a lot better. Reducing the springs helped (I think). The camber and toe out helped a lot.
I didn't get a chance to check out the TT yet. Might have a crack at it later tonight.
But I know the MR2 doesn't really have what it takes either. It's close, but it's handling is just to high strung no matter what I tried.
This week has really turned out to be a one car race. Although we all know now what the best 2.0L car in GT3 is. We can take that info to the next 4 bazillion "What's the best car" threads that will appear next week.

These numbers mean NOTHING!
I am being persistant in chasing my target, but this is getting old.
Splits all over the place and the finals are within .2sec.
I had fairly good success at taking the time down to within ¼sec. of my target.
The final .2-.3secs. are a killer.
And with each improvement comes the realization of a greater deficiency.
If I was at work, I couldn't play this stinkin' game and I could bask in the warmth of my ignorance.
I needed the break, so I posted this.
Oh well, I guess I had better get back to it.
