Do not use the Motorsport Elise. It woiuld just be to much of an advantage. :(

No rally cars either and if a cars displacement isn't listed, don't use it.

Race on ladies and gents. :)

Heinrich it was member kideng that put the GT3 Settings Database together. He did do a great job with it.
I just wish that some of the racers here would contribute to it. :(

im just curious how you guys are handling that first chicane. i know this is costing me vauable time as my T1 is only down to 22.8xx but my T2 is down to 41.6xx. i cant seem to take it fast without doing some massive sliding. any idea how to fix this.

**** no motor sport elise... ???

Ive been saying to use it if you can because I thought it was a tuner.

My bad. I will try to correct this if possible, but I fear the damage has already been done.

DAMMIT....

Hadn't had a single chance to sit down with the PS2 yet for W36 :grumpy: Had to drive to our other office tuesday after work. Got back last night at 1AM after a 300km drive and didn't really feel for turning on the PS2... I really really need more time off....

Ohh well - All good things to those who wait.... I hope..

I am assuming you mean Turns 1 and 2.
Brake somewhere around the 100meter mark (172-3MPH).
If your car is tight, then start your turn-in more from the middle of the track and try to grab the rumble with the left front.
If your car is loose, start from the right and be aware that the rumble might make the car yaw too much (the car will be pointing in the wrong direction when you need to brake).
It kind of depends on your setup, or the car's inherent traits.

Trying to explain what I do is very diffficult for me.
I don't usually think about what I'm doing, consciously anyway.
I mean, I do, but only after a lap and I'm imagining the way my view should look.
Most of the time, I just drive the car and try to hit all of my marks.

Okay, I ran some lap with a few cars.
The game had the S2000 TypeV (Wk32) ready to go. No break-in. :D
So, that's what I used.
After some tuning laps, I ran 20 hotlaps which produced 4 clean saves.
Best save:
20.037---Oops, I wish. s/b 22.037
40.788

The closest I could get to the S2000, with the Motorsports Elise was +1sec.

I also, ran a S2000 prize car and it was different from the V.
Looser and in some sections, much faster. ie .4 down at T1, even at T2 and faster at the finish. Dirty though.
Mine doesn't show a chase view in replay (what's up with that?).
So, I'm reluctant to use it. :(

Type V
12.0/13.0
86/86
8/10
8/10
2.0/0.5
0.0/1.0
7/7

24/24?

5/5/5
3.577
2.609
1.997
1.595
1.328
1.154 too short s/b 1.134
3.500
Auto18
ASM 0
TCS 2

I've been up so long, I now feel very punchy and am no longer tired. It's gonna catch up. I hope I awaken before the deadline.

As always, good luck and have fun.
:) :) :) :)

No....

I was gonna use that one too but I guess I'll have to look for something else (:grumpy: Once I get a chance to sit down with the PS2 DAMMIT.....)

Ran a few 22.xx and 42.xx's last night with the Lancer VII ... but I am still not happy with my times ... want faster faster faster !!!

Will start on the S2000 setups tonight based on Oliver's settings, think it is a better car than the EVO ... :odd:

I know my T3 was very fast ... and that the challenge is based on overall lap time, so maybe it's good, maybe not ...

Cheers all, have a good one !

I haven't had a chance to turn on the PS2 this week yet either... but I should get a few hours today/tomorrow... thanks for the setting ODP 👍 I'll give them a go tonight if I can...

see you guys in the morning.... have a good one....

Alright, I finally put down a couple of clean laps to start building on...

22.3 was in the mix somewhere, but I really dont care all that much about t1's.

41.0, but I didnt get to keep it, however, 41.2/3 and it's a clean keeper that matched the 41.0 time.

So for now Im thinking I will be aiming for the 40.5 mark. If I hit that I will be happy enough.

Then again, I might not even bother racing for a while since I sorta got burnt out due to the board challenge 3.

Back with progress at some point, and till then... bye :D

Dont worry boom

I aready signed up and I'm gonna submit my wicked setup from last week ;)

I havent beaten my best lap since 2 days ago, I end the lap in a strong way, but I still there are ppl here with faster times than I believe, but well I have to keep trying.

I have seen that the S2000 has produced better results, I might get a prize car of it and then run it to see how it goes...well goodnight :)

btw boom I wasnt the one asking bout the settings stuff, it was another one ;)

I see everyone is out on the S2000 Spec-V huh... Well since I dont wanna follow everyone else, Im gonna try out 2 cars which are quite similar to each other, and maybe a third which could prove to be even better than the S2000 ( in this case I hope not, then it will seem unfair :guilty: ) Gonna test these three cars tomorrow :mischievous:

... watch me revert to the S2000 after my testing

The standard S2000 is lighter than the TypeV by 17Kg. Same HP.
I'm preparing to beat my head against the wall until it oozes out the .2sec. I need.

seems like my time improved a bit
i've been hitting low 41 on the second sector consistently
the lowest i can get on T2 was 41.071
but i still want faster time.. i think i can do it but we'll see
my S15 cant even keep up with my S2000 (not spec V)
no matter how well i tune the S15.. its always 1 second behind my S2000

well, I know my car is not going to keep up with the S2000, but I am confident that I will make a showing with it. It has been a long time since I made an appearance in the Weekly. I just got too burnt out on it. Now I'm back though :D

You know what... miata has inspired me... I AM GOING TO FIND ANOTHER CAR!

Dude I know you are going to find another car. BAsically it has boiled down to this. It is not whether you are a pro, an amatuer or a beginner, the true race is in the car you drive and the car you run to its fullest. I think that is what I miss in the Weekly. I remember back in week 3 or 4 or 5, (excuse my memory), but the Vertigo race is what changed me with GT3. Once I saw a fluent way a car can run and a friend showing me how to run it, I totally rethought the way to run the Weekly. It is really a shame that I have not participated as much, but other stuff has been going on. Well, I hope the car I got this week will run the times that I originally laid down with the S2k can match. I am almost there for the most fact :D

Well, I've been pushing myself, and pushing myself. I got a new fastest lap with Ts of:

T1: 0'22.401
T2: 0'41.183

I'm going to try a few more times, I know I can do better, I've seen it. I had a few T2s that were 0'41.0xx but I would end up biffing that chicane. Also the rear got a little happy on me at the end there, so I think I could cut that down a little.

I don't really know if I'm doing it for the challange or what. I know whenever I'm racing these I will always compare my T times to the others. But I look at my mistakes and see what I need to fix, and figure out how. Oh well, its fun, but it's also time for bed. 'Night all!

Totally dude...

The vertigo (week 6 as I recall:confused: ) was the exact same for me.

I miss the days of a learning experience and fun compared to the weeks of competition above all else.

Call me an old timer or something, but this race for this week, I plan to atleast run the elise 190 if nothing else. Something Ive gotta work with, and not just something that is superior in terms of overall end time... Im looking for a fun race, not a good place :D

Hey Kent, actually I like your idea of the Elise, but why not try running that ZZ-s the arch nemisis of the Elsie?
