I'm using that S2000 that can only be won and not sold (yes it does have the displacement listed). I found that after a while I was able to beat all the times posted so far (at least i think so)
here are my times.

T1: 22.267
T2: 41.050

I can improve my last sector (T2 to finish line) by about another .2 sec. I can not find a car faster then this one IMO. 4WD understeer toooo much. No MR's can match these times, and FF, well i dont like them. With 560ish hp is there any other cars, that fit the rules, have more hp?

No I think 560 HP is the highest you can get out for this comp. ... although my Lancer is on 565 HP before totally run-in ... I will start using the S2000 tonight as well ... but it will have to be the Type-V one which one can buy from the dealer.

I found this Lancer VII settings on the net now ...

Spring Rate 11.0 14.0
Ride Height 95 100
Shock Bound 5 6 Third N/A
Shock Rebound 6 7 Fourth N/A
Camber 2.0 1.0 Fifth N/A
Toe -1.0 0.5 Sixth N/A
Stabilizer 3 4 Final N/A
Brake Balance 16 15 Auto Set 30
Downforce 0.19 0.46 Assist / Misc

ASM 0
TCS 0

Initial Torque 5
Accel 5
Decel 5

VCD 10
AYC 100

Will test tonight ...
:D

Or this one ... one of these should work ! For the Lancer Evo VII GSR (J) :

Spring Rate 15.0 17.5
Ride Height 92 96
Shock Bound 1 1
Shock Rebound 10 10
Camber 1.3 1.0
Toe 0.0 -0.5
Stabilizer 6 6
Brake Balance 8 14

Auto Set 29

Downforce 0.19 0.47

ASM 0
TCS 0

Initial Torque 5
Accel 10
Decel 15

VCD 25
AYC 76

Let me know how this works for ya ...
:)

New times for tonight.. I'm using the S2000 which was leftover from my first experience here at Monaco... Have Playerd with the settings a little more this time. I can't seem to match the times this car sets with any of the AWD brigade yet. Even tried a ZZ-S, and a MR2.. Yet to hop into any of the front wheel drive brigade yet.

New fastest times for me...

T1 - 41.178
T2 - 22.602
T3 - ?'??.???

I was thinking of trying the motorsport elise too, but I remembered that in last weeks race, it was classified as a race car, so what would be different about this week? Can't remember my settings off the top of my head.

I think that my Evo VII was at 590hp, but it could not get through the corners fast enough, and so was slower round the track than the S2000

I found my S2000 to be 6-7 tenths faster than the EVO VII i tried before. It's all in the corners.

Might take a shot at the good old MR2 GT-S too, just for kicks.

Actually, the motor sport elise is only considered a tuner.

It's a nice car for this if you can handle it.

Better hp/w than the s2000 and it's m/r. So good luck with it, but like I said before, she's one hard girl to handle ;)

@ Heinrich:
Claro, es necessario tener carreras en muchos lugares si quiere que mantena todo en ordenado. Tambien, ¿que crees que mi espanol? Solo tuvio la clase tres anos (y digo "solo" porque no es un tiempo muy largo).

Sorry if that offends, I just had to test my skills against someone who actually speaks the language as a first language... (don't worry, I didn't bad mouth anyone for people who may not understand...)

Well it isn't that bad:D just a few mistakes and all, but on overall is very good your spanish:)

Well I cant find a better car than the Lancer VII GSR..I have made times around T1=22.xxx and T2=42.3xx ...I'll try those settings that have been posted in here.

my best time so far
T1: 22.837
T2: 41.824

:( still need to find the right settings
the car is doing some mild understeering

I wondered if someone could find the settings to a car through a replay?

If so, I would really like it if I could get the settings used on my s2000 run at cote.

I would really appreciate it. Just pm me if you think you can help.

thanks,
...

GoKents settings can be gotten through a replay. Email me the replay @ zer0h_@hotmail.com and ill get the setting for you, or you can get mk's garage editor or arwins replay manager and both of them should give out the settings.

EDIT: Found your replay and i've pmed you the settings.

Hey thanks agian, and to everyone else... dont worry about my request, zeroh saved the day :D

Now thanks to that, I should be back shortly with some times on my s2000.

Till then,

Hey Kent I bet you'll be running some 22's and 41's with it. I already tested it last night. . . I can say you need to lessen the bound and rebound and the spring rate. That first jump that you hit going into the chicane will make or break the run. Also, Toe is needed on that setup :D

Shhhh!! I thought I told you to keep our little secret quiet! :D

I've been quiet this week becuase real life has been a B1tch :embarrassed:. But it's calmed down a bit, and I've got some free time until Friday night. 👍

Thanks guys for not being quiet with the car choice 👍 I tried out the Silvia and a few others but not the S2000

Thanks dude. Appreciate the advice. (camber is also needed :D )

btw, I already nailed down consistant 41's, so now Im gonna be working on dropping that. :mischievous:

" Sorry can i take the elise motorsport ?" (chimeleon)

Yes, yes you can, good luck working it though. :D

Well, Kent, that Rally car idea was pretty good, nailed a 22.5 and a 41.3 with it, but. . . the key in that car is no LSD. Interesting enough though the First car I mentioned to you that I was running is still beating it by .9 seconds. If I can get this second car up to the time my first car got I would consider it an overall victory even if I am not the fastest. :D

Yeah, that car is our little secret though, right? ;)

Anyway, Im glad to hear you got that thing down like that... I couldnt even come close to what I wanted with that thing, so regardless of your overall/t times, I think you've done well just to hold the sucker on track.

Anyway, hit me with some settings for that puppy if you want, or just let me know your progress.

I can't seem to iron out the kinks...in any of these cars! It's crazy how the Japanese cars in this category handle; they are fine during the low-end of the power band but lose all stability at the high end. I have never experienced this problem, but I have no clue how to fix it...

Well if you want help with it, I know everyone here is willing to lend a hand.

However, you've gotta give us your car of choice, setup and a better description of the handling problems, as well as where it occurs on the track.

So hit us with that stuff and you'll be running with the pack in no time ;)

So far I have got:
T1= 0'22.578
T2= 0'41.520

it's clearly that the first sector is my weak spot, but I recover well on 2nd one, and I think I can improve the 3rd one.

I cant get any faster than the times i posted before.
Getting the S2000 to run fast is a very fine line between oversteer and understeer. Personally I would rather a little oversteer than understeer. I will post my settings when I get home from school. :)

so far...

T1: 22.697
T2: 41.618

its either that i cant drive right... or my settings are all wrong... or maybe its my wearing out G-force steering wheel
i cant shift while im turning... does someone else has this similar problem? if so.. help me :(

I'm with you small_fryz.... It is hard to get that damn s2000 to grip, but using good throttle control, it can be done well... My largest problem with the race is getting airborne into the first left hander for the first chicane... That's killing my lap times, as it makes it hard to get a clean line through there.

The S2000 is nice. I'm using pretty much the same settings as I did with the Cote d' Azur race.

Honda S2000:
T1: 0'22.910
T2: 0'41.508

I actually got a lap that had slower T times than that, but I ended up with a faster final.

Well, I have two splits, my first is with the S2000, I got two splits on seperate laps,
T1 = 21.6xx
T2 = 41.2xx
The other car I am running still is not up to par with the S2000
T1= 22.1xx
T2= 41.5xx
I am quite surprised about the secret car's performance, I did not think it would be able to keep up as well. Right now as it stands, it is only .6 seconds behind the S2000 :D

tonights T times
T1:23.837
T2:43.690
I'm having trouble with the first 3 corners :banghead: I'll work on it more tomorrow maybe after I finish arc8 .

Wow, 6 pages already!
You have been busy.

I've just returned, from a wacky trip, in time to watch the extra innings.

I'm going to post my replay, then fire up the PS2.

Be back soon.
