There’s a nice mix of cars on the ‘Ring Leaderboards in Sport Compact Icons to be fair. Doesn’t appear to be a standout OP car.

Not that I’m trying to influence anyone else’s vote of course.
I promise :sly:

It was'nt long time ago, me and a buddy had a battle going on, in the Modern SUV division around The Ring. We were 1st and 2nd. It stopped when another fast guy, that used to be our race team leader decided to join in, with the leaderboard car of that division. The Nismo Juke :/

He "only" got me by 3 secs. and that doesnt seem to be alot on this long track, but we both (my buddy and i) spent hours apon hours tuning our cars for this track....

Im not even sure about what im trying to say here. Except maybe, trying to warn people. I really REALLY like The Green Hell ;)

The votes are in and counted and sadly the winner is Sport Compact Icons on Mugello.
Soooo close to earning a trip to The Green Hell there (5 to 4 votes) but we are doing it fairly. You have spoken.

Leaderboards coming up soon for week 3, I have family in at the minute.

Yep me too, did about a million laps around it back in PGR2, dread to think how many i’ve done now :)

If I may suggest something for the original post? I think we should put the leaderboard times within a spoiler tag so that way it cleans it up a bit. It's going to get pretty messy depending on just how long we keep this going, which it seems like it might be a while.

I have been thinking that myself - looks waaaay too messy (and doesn't help that each Leaderboard is in a slightly different format). Was thinking about re-writing the entire post but your idea is much better

EDIT: sorted, and reformatted all the leaderboards so they all look the same.

It's going to be an interesting conundrum, the 'Ring. On one hand you'll need a car with good handling because of all the corners, but on the other hand you'll also need enough power to not be a sitting duck on the uphill parts and the Döttinger Höhe... Decisions, decisions.

On FM6 if tuned right, the Integra would take on everything in D, C and B class.... It is pure beast.

The '00 Silvia FE is remarkably stable around the 'Ring in stock form. I don't have as many in this division as I thought (although I have around 8m credits so can stock up) so tried the Nissan last night and set a time of 8:30.xxx on my second lap, this despite being unable to tune anything on the car.
8:30 is hardly lightning fast but it was genuinely a pleasure to drive.

I don't even know what cars are in the class but I should have them all so will get out there later today and try a couple of course sport compact icon to me doesn't scream Honda nor Nissan ;)

1990 Mazda RX-7 8:12
1986 Alfa Romeo Spider 8:10
Did do a 8:05 in the Alfa but it was a dirty lap was a bit surprised how quick the Alfa is the Mazda could go faster with a bit of tuning
Next up maybe a couple of Nissans

The Nissans appear to be plenty fast, at least the S-chassis that I've tried so far. First car I tried was a 3000GT, and was sitting around 8:10.xxx on the second lap. Jumped in my 240sx and was instantly faster through the first lap, and posted an 8:04.4xx on the second. @RPM Bibblefish is using a different generation S-chassis and sits about .400 in front of me.

I just ran a quick race in the Eagle Talon, posted a 8:15.261
Gearing on it was a bit to high, may try tweaking it a bit and have another go or may just move on to another car.

Edit:
Had a go in the 90 RX-7 Got an 8:14 on the first lap, then a dirty 8:10 on the next one. Ran one more race in it but failed to keep it on the track. Car has some potential.

I think I did an 8:03.3 in the '00 Prelude last night, with perhaps some room for improvement. I forgot how nasty some of the curbs are around here.

Downloaded @RPM Bibblefish 's MX-5 tune and had a go, posted 8:15.05x within a couple of laps and could easily get more.
Mate that is a seriously good tune, the wee Miata is glued to the road.

@RPM Bibblefish - I just don't understand HOW you've done that though. The car is so stable it beggars belief.. I know I'm losing a lot of time by not being brave enough in certain corners, I just hate getting that /!\ and having to suffer the rest of the lap so I hold back a bit...

I was hoping to put some time into this today, but my back is hurting like a !"#@""!!, So not sure it will like wrestling the wheel for a full lap....

Will it count as doping if i use painkillers? :dopey::dopey:
