This has been the most frustrating race so far of this young series. If Nurburgring doesn't show up again for a LONG time, I'll be a happy camper. I'm hoping week 7 is something that won't require anywhere near the amount of time this one took.
I put together a fairly decent lap Saturday night, but then muffed it in the last two corners. Then I spend 1 1/2 hours trying to put together a clean lap, with much gnashing of teeth, throwing of controllers. Needless to say I went to bed very frustrated. Then on Sunday I finally put together a clean lap with a good time. My son (not I Don't Know, but my younger son who doesn't race) wanted to see the reply, and when I did he very happily pointed out 3 wheels off the course at one point. Grrr!! Aaarrghghh!! *&#^*&^#*&^#49@)(&*@@|#@*&^@$# So I sat down and did a clean lap knocking 4 seconds off the pace. This one I've looked at over and over again to make sure it's clean.
It's a fascinating track, but a high bar I think for week 6 (or maybe just high for me). Oh well, just time to move on. The other two Aloha based WRS racers have yet to put in a clean lap, so unless I Don't Know and JMitch17 are either lucky or stay up late tonight, I don't expect a lot of competition from them this week.

Oh, c'mon now...ONE podium finish in 6 weeks and now I'm tearing up Div 3? LOL!
Heck..I think Nat has more top 5 finishes then me...and yes, I'm man enough to admit that!

Yeah..but it took you 5 races to get it, while it took me 6 to get mine...
That and after looking over the past results, including week 6, you've placed higher then me 3 times...(Wk's 2, 4 & 5) while I've placed higher in wks 1, 3 & 6...your average finishing position is 11.6...while mine is an even 12.....Therefore, technically speaking, you have the better record in the head-to-head department....

I just realized this. Doing the WRS, I'm not gonna get any further in the game now. That's okay though. This is fierce competition. This is a sure way to make you better.

I'll probably be posting my times this weekend as I just go my new Frex wheel/pedals & shifter and it's taking some time to get used to it...So, you've got a nice headstart on trouncing me this week!
Will have to review the WRS thread to see which Skyline seems to be the best choice...

hello all division 3 racers!
i was a complete racer newbie til my b/f who is completely obsessed with racing games forced me to endure his passion!
now what can i say??? i'm hooked too. and although i'm nothing to compete with his standard and have been completely baffled by the gtp forums, i'm here to have a go and try and enjoy the pleasure of a regular thrashing on the race track.
as driving is the most unnatural ability in the world to me, i more than welcome any advice and tips from anyone with the knowledge and experience to give it! 👍
i look ahead to a jolly good time competing with you all.

Welcome EXelero! I'm sure you'll have lots of fun here, just do your best, have some fun, try not to hit the walls (or the admins) and you'll be fine I don't have that much knowlege or experience of OLR, but the ppl here are great and I think Nat really owes me a "Welcome to division 3 snuggle" which i haven't yet recieved! :sad:

Wilkommen to Div3. We are the bottom class, but with practice fighting ourselves and each other, we can only get better. However, you are safe for we don't bite. (I don't like the taste of human's)

Another WRS n00b here. Got my confirmation this morning.
I'm 20 and doing Comp Sci at Strathclyde Uni in Scotland. I've been a long-term F1/WRC/motorsport fan and been playing racing games for a while. Got into the GT series from the start, the first time I played GT I was amazed at the cars and graphics, been hooked from there.
I look forward to some good natured competition from everyone 👍

@TimBrad: awwww, I'm sorry, I was still getting over my 274 wrecks on The Ring! I'll give you a friendly nudge on the race track and wave as I scoot on by
@amp88: You'll definitively get the competition here and I love some of the rivalries I've developed ... all of them extremely friendly. With so many great guys (and gals), it's almost a shame that we can't all take podium each and every week.
And to all of you ... it can be intense and some of the times can be extremely humbling, but each week you'll find friendly banter and a great deal of enjoyment ... I personally have waaaaaay more fun in the WRS than I do with GT mode and it is teaching me sooooo much!
