I'm having
more fun since figuring out
a) I had to ditch all my settings and start from scratch ... it's the way I work best
b) WHich car to use (for my style)
c) That the car just happened to be purple ... and looks gorgeous, did I mention that yet?
Seriously, I'm not a fan of the skylines or the track in general, but I made some progress yesterday and even moved myself into the top positions - and this was without a lot of the parts being installed on the car. I have no illusions of a podium position (and there are too many fast D3 guys who don't post their splits, so there are a few up ahead of me there that we don't know about), but if I can finish well ... that's all I need ... a good showing each week
You know, when I first started out in week #1 I got 20th and I was pretty happy with that ... a week later (I think) I scored 11th and not long after 2nd ... so I really like to try and finish in the top ten; I feel like I'm not trying hard enough unless I do.
Or something.
Anyway, I'm happier with everything today than I was a day or so ago ... haven't thrown a helmet at the pit chief in HOURS!
And if you think I was unhappy there, wait until we run on snow or gravel ... maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan I suck at both (unfortunate, because in Rallysport Challenge on the Xbox I was pretty damn good, but here in Gt4 with the DFP? forget about it!)
