And I did it 4 times. This is my fastest.

Managed to get a T2 of 58.103 and submitted it, always lost heaps of time in the last turn, so I called it a week, eheh.

Sup yall'!!! Post #1 here! This will be week #1 for me at the WRS. I think I'm doing pretty good for a newb (T2 58.5??). I would have been lost though without setup and tuning help I found in these discussions! It's been a blast seeing the incremental improvement with each settings change! I never knew that settings could change lap times soo dramatically! Just wish I knew enough to come up with the settings for myself

I just had a baby boy, so my racing time is rahter limited, as you can imagine....however I will try my best!

Welcome aboard jumpputt and stinger05. We have a lot of drivers for our division so this is somewhat considered as 'the Lounge'. Make yourselves at home. Just don't sit there.............or there..........or there.
How did you get 2HP? I put a stage 4 turbo on it and only got 1.5HP. I actually pushed the car faster than driving it.

Hi jumpputt and stinger05! Like Bleu said, there can be a lot of us here with a tendency on some weeks for brand new drivers to pop up out of no where and steal all the podiums from us. Despite that we're a good bunch with quite a few friendly rivalries (right Bleu? )
And don't think for one moment that this is an easy division, either ... some of the guys around here can post times to rival Division 2 drivers ... so stay on your toes and I'll see you on the track!

Right Koly. You got my this week only because I can't drive that bloody Skyline.
Back to what someone said earlier about a Rallye event, I just might have to switch to DS2 for that one if I can't get a clean lap. I love Rallying though. It's so much fun.

I've never used the DS2 ... used the controller for the XBox on Rallysport challenge and PGRII and did great in both, but maaaaaaaaaaaan I can't get used to this little fiddly thing on the Playstation ... it *has* to be a DFP for me, or I'm screwed.

I don't use those nobs. They hurt me more than they help me. Since playing GT3 on DS2, I've gotten pretty good with the button sensitivity. But I only do the DFP now.

Yea, Dirt & Snow are the bottom left section, and also in GT Mode, think it on the bottom below the License center.
Bring it .. you choose car this time, I choose the Skyline for Ring .. ugh ~ maybe that helped me a little this week
At least it wasn't a stock Skyline this week. And now I have the Max, will be little easier to look at things. Just hope we have a week for the run at least, and it not week #8

Can I ask my fellow D3ers a question?
I've just picked up a DS2 for the first time ever ... I know that sometimes it's easier to get a fast lap using this rather than the DFP, but with me never having touched one before, it has been too easy for me to shy away from ever using it.
However, Teledriel and I are bouncing some Rally times off eachother (as a little practice for the future inevitable), and I've got quite a background with the XBox, Rallysport Challenge and ... ofcourse ... the XBox Controller.
So tonight a ran a few laps in a rally car with the DFP and while it was fun, it actually felt unnatural ... I was yearning to pick up a controller and race from third person perspective.
So in the end I relented, plugged the DS2 in an after a couple of laps of getting used to the button placement, immediately beat my wheel time by over a second.
The only thing that I struggled with was the button placement ... the XBox controller is not only a different shape, but all the the driving games use the front buttons for acceleration and brake, while GT4 - by default - has these mapped to the gears.
How many of you use the DS2 and how many of you then remap the buttons in some capacity? Is there an easier way rather than the default layout?

Right now the Right thumbstick does nothing. Accelerating and Braking is handled through X and the middle left button (whatever that is).
Funny thing is, I tried turning manual gears *OFF* and it works when I use the wheel, but I can't see the option to enabled auto gears for the DS2 ... not that I'd want auto for rallying, but it sure would be handy to find out where this option is.

Yo man, the race closes at 2pm on a tuesday, im assuming your in brighton, judging by your profile.
Results are up within 15 mins or so, and the new race either just before the results, to keep us happy, or just after.
Then you get till next tues to race.
Repeat and rinse.

EDIT By the way vtec_guy...Welcome to GTPlanet & the world of WRS here in Divsion 3....Watch out for the 'lady' drivers here.....they're fast..matter of fact..they're faster then most of the 'men' here...so, keep one eye on the road in front of you..and the other on your rear-view mirror!

Holy crap, kids! I thought my lap was FLAWLESS and you guys beat me out by 3 seconds! I was sure I was going to get a podium but WHAM! right in my face you guys pwned!
