So then, I ask you - based on what we have seen of GT5, what is wrong with the physics system? Does it need to be improved from the demo we have seen thus far? We can't debunk the new physics system until we have played it ourselves - hence the poll and why these things [before the game's release] are important to any of us.
Did you actually read his post? Jay wasn't questioning the physics system at all, he was just saying people voted for realistic physics because that's important to them, not something they think needs improving. After all, you asked us what's important, not what needs improving.

As for me - realistic physics are important to me because GT has been about proving a realistic driving experience for a large range of vehicles. I also voted for cockpit views on all vehicles, because it wouldn't feel right to have some cars with cockpit views and others without.

Its not a choice, but I'm going to say a Lengthy and in depth GT mode. Everything else is a bonus to me.

But I guess my second would be Realistic physics. So that was my vote.

Realistic physics and true to life sound are what is most important to me. Okay, maybe they won't do true to life sound, but can it please sound better than an electric keyboard with car noises :P

Ahh! I misunderstood Jay's comment - sorry Jay!

I really should have added 1,000 vehicles to this poll, just to balance out the difficulty in having to only choose two things. :sly:

You miss "Anything that PD delivers is most important to me" option.

True, but I thought it would be fun to limit our wants/desires to only two choices, just to see what about those 10 features listed would mean the most to any one of us.

Sure, choosing all of them or as you said, "Anything that PD delivers" would be great choices for obvious reasons - but the challenge is to look over the list and then limit yourself to choosing only two of them. :sly:

1- Realistic Physics
2- True-to-life Sounds

Realistic physics is definitely the cornerstone of the GT experience, but the sound needs to rise to the bar of professionalism that the physics set. After that, it would be internal damage, cockpit views, accurately mapped unique tracks, and then modeled damage.

If I could run up and down a track in a monster of a car and hear the rumbling roar properly, I'd never leave my TV. :D

I agree that sound is a crucial element to a racing game and while the Gran Turismo series excels at everything else - some of the vehicle engine sounds and definitely the tire squealing sounds need some work. :sly:

Personally, the tire sounds are just fine to me. Maybe something inbetween GT4, Prologue and Forza ONE would make all you tire whiners happy.

Realistic Physics and Aerodynamic Parts.

Just that, i love Sound, Graphics and a Livery Editor too, but those are my first choices,

"Weather and Night Racing" and "Realistic physics" are leading the pack!

One of those I was sure to be a leader - the other one, a complete surprise.

This poll closes right before the public portion of the TGS - so we can get the official GT5 news from PD from the media and see which of our feature choices were the most accurate. :sly:
