What are the *small* additions, that you want to see in GT7?

I don't need any additions. I would just like PD to stop. Stop changing the physics. Stop changing the PP values of the cars. Stop changing the tire modeling. Stop changing the force feedback arbitrarily on people's wheels. Stop changing how traction control works. Stop changing the BoP in sport mode and just allow people to tune their suspension and aero for their driving style.

Constant changes that make absolutely no sense are driving people away from the game. These tweaks may have been necessary at launch, but the game is 3 years old now. If you haven't figured it out how to "fix" the game by now, just stop trying and focus your efforts on GT8.
This, although now they need to keep trying after they messed up physics some months ago. :indiff:

I would like to adjust helmets and racing suits for all opponents in custom races with cars of my garage(and I am totally aware, that this will never ever be possible...)

More realistic: I would like to be able to freely choose the tires for any garage car in custom races...

I'd quite like it if they fixed the BMW VGT lower lip intakes clipping through the bonnet.

What do you think the blue underlined linked text means? To me it’s literally a link, probably to the context of the thing or a weird Rick roll, but what it definitely is, it’s a link.

Ok I read it, seems to me in a nutshell it was a gt planet issue not GT5. People taking advantage of others trust on HERE. It’s also a fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me situation.

Lame they got rid of it because people lost out on some trades. Lesson learned, don’t trade anymore if you got ripped off. It’s not a game problem it’s a people problem.

There are plenty of discussions about what cars, or tracks we want, or about how much we want an old school career structure. But what are the small things, that you are missing?

Wether that's a customization option, a car part, a qol improvement, or anything along these lines.

I would love the see some old school Watanabe, or Campagnolo rims. The game lacks old school rims in general
While I want to be able to change every race parameter/limitation in single player, if we get only one change it is by opinion a small change. So it would be either deciding starting place, or PP limit, or Tyre, or tyre wear, or fuel wear. Even only one such change would improve the game substantially.
Oh, or even credits payout! So no more grinding, but that would not be a small change, since 400 million credits needed to by all the cars?
How much to fully upgrade all cars? 500 million? Perhaps a small change for PD but a giant leap in gameplay fun for all the GT7 players?

I am sure it also happens on other forums, and also as well thru deals made on PSN messages and/or in-game messaging.

I have four simple requests.

1) hold down circle to return to map screen from any menu
2) my garage to remember how I last viewed my car collection, for example I mostly want to select by Manufacturer first
3) to be able to group cars by model, so I see 996 once under Porsche and then get a further menu that shows each of my 996s (bit like how the car selling works)
4) to be able to lock tuning sheets from changes

It wasn't. GTPlanet represents a tiny fraction of the game's playerbase, and the simple fact was that players were arranging gift swaps with other players - the feature was officially called "Gift", and marked in-game as "Give to Friend", not "Trade", so it was never truly intended to be bilateral - and getting ripped off everywhere. We had an organised Marketplace forum which facilitated trading and swapping (with a rudimentary reputation feature; this was pre-Reaction days) in order to assist players to find trustworthy traders/swappers.

The changes to the gift system wasn't prompted by anything here, but by the fact that players were not only ripping each other off but swapping high-value and exclusive prize reward cars that - it seems it was felt - trashed game progress and, particularly, the awful Car Level feature which prevented players from buying cars until they reached an appropriate level.

As a result, PD implemented a one Gift per day per console/account/IP address function and a 1,000,000cr cap on Giftable cars, only three months into the game's life.

Great idea and thanks for starting the thread. 👍

1.) Oil indicator on HUD (was there but went away sometime during my 17 year GT hiatus 🤣)
2.) Ability to change oil from pits instead of backing out through menu pages
3.) Tire compound indicator on gamer tag/pop-up flag during races...would be nice to know if the guy filling my rearview mirror is on a softer compound or just plain faster, lol. They're color coded, how hard could it be? Make a border around the tag that reflects the compound in use? Not sure but there's gotta be something better than nothing
4.) More environmental variance...weather, day-to-night, night-to-day, racing in the dark. So many options yet so few experiences offered

Seems pretty straight-forward...but I don't do code.😁

Thanks, I bought GT5 in a bargain bin and it was well into its life cycle so I guess I only remember the one gift car per day. I don’t understand having issues with people cheating themselves out of progressing thru the game, if they want to do that so be it.

As bad as GT7’s economy is (in my opinion) if you enticed me with unlocking all the cars, I’d still play all the championship races and single player races just because.

Long story short gifting cars was a very nice feature to have and it’s a shame it’s gone.

Forget the cash trades for a second, and focus on the trade scams.
If the feature were to return, PD could quite easily make it so that both parties would have to agree on the offer before the trade commences.

I don't see it happening though - if it didn't fit GT5's game design philosophy with car levels and UCD rotations, it absolutely wouldn't fit GT7's philosophy.

  • select multiple car purchase option
  • copy performance parts option to multiple cars: uses the Style to duplicate and include engine, suspension, drivetrain, tyre and widebody purchased
  • hide option for garage cars
  • “Select All” option for purchasing, deleting, discarding, removal
  • Championship option for Custom Race
  • points option for custom race

  • Multiple filters in garage (eg. 4WDs between 600-700 PP, or both 70s and 80s)
  • Sort by ascending in garage in grid view (currently only in list view)
Subcategories for the main classes , for example - Gr.1 > Group C , VGT , LMH , LMP1 etc
I think that's what PD is going for with the 'car type' categories/tags (eg. Le Mans, Group C). I'm not sure if they use them in any events to enforce specific requirements at the moment. Not even sure if there is a Group C one.
